The Studio Knitting and Needlepoint

I love this store! The staff is very friendly and helpful. As well, the selection of yarn is amazing.

Meh. This used to be a really cool shop near the plaza with tons of supplies, nooks and crannies. They moved to Overland Park and now it’s pretty humdrum with a rather small selection of yarn. The yarn they have is good quality with a good price attached, but there isn’t that much to choose from, there is nothing interesting as far as aesthetics or décor, and the staff is minimally friendly. It’s not worth driving across the city for in my opinion.

Visited this shop for the first time today and what a delight! Salespeople were especially friendly and helpful and the shop has such a nice selection of yarns and needlepoint canvases. It will certainly be a place I will visit again.

The Studio was a longtime fixture near the Plaza, a lovely store, but to be honest it was kind of shoehorned into a strange space. Now, the new location in Overland Park is a lot more open, brighter, better light & plenty of room to browse. There’s a nice selection of yarns & kits, as well as a well-​stocked section of needles & shawl pins & various accessories, something for any knit/​crochet/​needlepoint aficionado. A couple of chairs and tables at the front of the store invite crafters to drop by & knit a couple of rows. Also, parking is a LOT easier than before — which, frankly, makes me a lot more likely to drop by. As always, Cindy & the staff are helpful & friendly. Really love the new face of the Studio!
