last night I went here for dinner, the food was very good and I enjoyed my visit there… The only thing that really upset me was that around 7 I went to use the restroom and this young lady was already cleaning them so I had to wait until she finished… And it was only 7??? I literally l stood out waiting 15 min for her to finish cleaning… WOW! Oh and the lobby is really hot! Where’s the AC?

I hate writing negative reviews, but in the matter of full transparency, I’m left writing my true experience. The theme of the evening would be lackluster. We came(for the very first time) around 5:30, and when we walked in we thought it was closing time by the way the staff(didn’t) greet us. After asking a few questions, we hesitantly moved forward with our order. I ordered a bowl with chicken, and my partner in crime ordered a salad; after struggling through identifying the random assortment of sauces(with no help from the staff), we checked out. Strictly from this experience I give them 0 stars– moving on to the positives… The décor is very cute and fits the theme! It’s very Texas ranch meets industrial modern– cute, but doesn’t help the lack of service in the slightest. Moving on to the taste and actual food– The bag of chips was not even half full, which when you’re paying $ 5 for chips and queso it’s a bit of a stretch. Speaking on the topic of half full, don’t even get me started on the hilarious salad we were given, with a straight face, I might add. The food was actually amazing! It tasted fresh and delicious, and dare I say better than chipotle!?! I didn’t have high expectations, but they managed to exceed their fast food box– minus the queso. The queso tasted like it was watered down, if that’s even a thing! Bottom line, I may dream of the taste for a while, but given a complete miracle I won’t be back– disappointing.

Went there for lunch Friday and had the Ancho barbecue salmon tacos which were out of this world. Lots of fresh veggie toppings including jicama along with barbecue sauce and probably some kind of jalapeño cream sauce. Then just today A friend told me this place is run by the same folks as Jose Peppers which happens to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

I had really high hopes for this. Everyone raved about this place and said it was so much better than Chipotle. I don’t buy it. My lunch here was ok. Not anything special. Went out of my way to try it because of the reviews but not that impressed. I’d pick Chipotle or Qdoba over this any day.

This place is good, the portions are big and the prices are low. Take your family there on Saturday, the kids eat free.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. My friend and I popped in to grab dinner and actually thought it was more of a dining room type restaurant, come to find out it’s more like a cafeteria style(like Chipotle — only way better food haha) but that didn’t bother us so we ordered and dove in. Holy crap their food is good! The guacamole and queso were EXTREMELY tasty(we couldn’t stop groaning with every bite haha) and I enjoyed the bbq shrimp tacos with jicama which were really delicious. The rice and beans are also very flavorful. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I’d choose Tortilla Ranch over Chipotle or Qdoba any day. So good.

I went here for lunch today with my husband since it is close to his work. My husband told me it would be like Chipotle and he was right, but they have WAY more options in terms of what you can have(not toppings). You can choose a burrito, bowl, tacos, enchiladas, nachos, or a taco salad. The prices were fair and the food was really very good. It tasted a bit more fresh or homemade to me compared to Chipotle. I think I might still like the taste of Chipotle’s meat a little bit more, but I would definitely return to Tortilla Ranch, and look forward to trying something else.

Mine was not a good experience for lunch Monday. I really wanted some enchiladas, they are across the street, so I stopped in. #1 — If you are eating enchiladas, there is no such thing a good one that is also healthy, get over it. The tortillas need to be fried a little bit. #2 — The red sauce was sweet, it had a very bizarre taste to it, not at all what I expect from an enchilada sauce. There are some pretty good canned ones, even Las Palmas would have been better. #3 — The worker put it in an oven, and when it came out, there were only the two enchiladas in the container, I was asked if I wanted lettuce and sour cream, OK, but I was like, where are the beans and rice. Oh OK, yeah, what kind of beans. #4 — The BIG issue, I get back to the office and take a bite of the enchilada, it is just a slightly warm tortilla filled with shredded cheese. I have no idea what that little oven was supposed to do, but it sure the hell did not melt the cheese. Enchiladas should be a nice gooey mess of melted cheese. Yeah, not these. There were a ton of people there who appeared to be enjoying their food, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, not sure, also not sure I will be back.

I ordered through the Whosin Delivery system and they forgot my chips. I called the store and Joe took down my info and delivered them to me and apologized. Thanks Joe, it’s people like you that create return customers. I will order again. P. S. the food is always amazing. Keep it up Joe!

The food is always fresh, and they obviously use high-grade ingredients! There is no way they can achieve this level of flavor otherwise. I was a little disappointed in the amount of sour cream I got, but was pleased to hear the manager is eager to show me that the issue was our of the ‘norm’.

The family hit up the Tortilla Ranch next to Lamars Donuts, at the recommendation of the guy working I had the Ranch Burrito enchilada style with Quesso, Red Sauce, and Green Ranch hot sauce! It was the bomb, I will get it every time. My kids had the Ranch Tacos and the Chicken Quesadillas and they both loved them, they also added the Quesso that they also praised. This place is as good as Chipotle with out the line and wait, in my opinion.

Well, I have not been able to eat at Chipotle without being disappointed since I tried Tortilla Ranch. I sat next to one of the owners on a flight from Boise, ID to my hometown of Kansas City. I was intrigued by his description of the space and the food so I went there for lunch. Tortilla Ranch has so many more options than Chipotle! The décor of the interior has an understated festive look. I ate there with a friend and we exclaimed numerous times over the atmosphere, how packed it was, how great the food was and we talked about dishes we would try next. I loved it! Sadly, I live in Boise now and I have to wait long periods of time before I can visit Tortilla Ranch again. Come to Boise, Eagle, or Meridian, Tortilla Ranch!

I’m going to say I may have liked it better than Chipotle! More options for sure. I got the layered nachos with chicken. Delicious! But certainly not a cheap lunch. My drink and nachos were over $ 10. I work just down the road so I’m sure I’ll be back many times!

I visited this spot for lunch. The overall concept reminded me of Chipotle with some additional options. The salad bowl concept was especially unique. One’s bowl is lined with a tortilla, which itself is lined with melted cheese hot off the grill. I stuck with a carnitas burrito bowl and was not disappointed. Is this original enough to steal business from Chipotle? Eh… I’m not so sure. It is, regardless, delicious, and I would recommend grabbing lunch here if you’re in the area.

It’s the order in a line style place, like Chipotle. I’ve tried a few different menu items. I always come back to the salad, though. They start by heating your tortilla on the grill and melting cheese on it which is used as your bowl inside an aluminum container. I generally ask for half the normal amount of lettuce because it ends up being a lot. Several different choices of meat, including shrimp! I typically add a few different toppings, but be careful with the jalapeño ranch dressing. I’m assuming it’s made daily, but sometimes it’s so hot it overpowers the entire salad. I love that cilantro is a separate topping choice, so give me tons! If the items kept in liquid aren’t strained well before adding to your salad, you’ll end up with a soggy tortilla. Fresh, made from scratch, tortillas. Watch them being made while you’re waiting in line. They’re delicious! I’m not overly excited about this place, but I can’t see a reason they deserve anything less than 4 stars. ALWAYS friendly and the place is super clean.

I enjoyed my first visit to Tortilla Ranch. My burrito bowl, chips, and queso were all delicious. I’m a big Chipotle fan, but TR had better tasting grilled chicken, friendlier employees, better ambience, and coupons. I will definitely be back soon.

Ok this place just made me a convert from Chipotle/Freebirds. I had the shrimp bowl, it was awesome. The green salsa is super spicy, liked the diced jalapeño and jicama slaw. Guac was extra. Had free coupon for chips & queso, was as good as any Mexican restaurant. AND $ 1.99 margs on Sunday nights. Can’t beat that. Owner Adam is exceedingly nice. Restaurant is very clean, fixtures were not cheaply done. Will most definitely be back.

Let me ask for forgiveness in advance… but this is pretty much everything you wish Chipotle offered. A SEAFOODBOWLEXISTS. You can have shrimp, fish, or both! I saw burritos that could be turned enchilada style and queso dip in a world of no guac surcharge. Is this real life? Burritos, salads, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and nachos all made with your choice of protein. This is certainly real life. The menu seemed a pinch confusing but I’m impressed to say the least.

I am very glad I finally stopped by Tortilla Ranch. If someone asked me to describe it, I’d say it’s like Chipotle, but better quality and more choices. My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla and I ordered the nachos with chicken. The two workers were very polite and prompt and made everything perfectly. The nachos could have easily been two meals, but I was hungry and finished them in one sitting. I’ll definitely revisit this place. Everything tasted fresh and fantastic and the prices were about the same as chipotle. Try the guac! It’s worth the upcharge!

Dear Chipotle, Sorry to tell you this, but we are breaking up. Found someone better, Tortilla Ranch has the seafood bowl I’ve been waiting forever and a day for you to provide me! #GoodbyeChipotle this New Mexican Grill on the block has stolen my belly’s heart! I haven’t been this compelled to write such a glowing review for a restaurant in a while! I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in. It looked like a knock off of Chipotle but man do they nail their Mexican grill entrees down to perfection! I, of course, had to order the rice bowl since that’s what I always get at Chipotle or Freebirds. My only gripe was that they don’t have brown rice.(There goes it being semi healthy lol but TBH the ingredients definitely tasted fresh!) Any who I almost jumped for joy when I saw shrimp and fish as part of their menu! It was about a $ 3 up charge to have both fish and shrimp on the rice bowl which I gladly paid for! Omg plus they didn’t charge me extra for the guac on top! They had the standard ingredients like rice, lettuce, corn… BUT their pico de gallo and the sweet&spicy sauce was on point! I could eat anything with the sauce on top all day! Any who… I didn’t want to get my hopes up for the seafood since this was still a fast food joint type of place… BUT! My goodness was that white fish good. I can come here everyday during lent season LOL. The shrimp was pretty good too! I was just obsessed with the seasoning of the fish with the sweet&spicy sauce on top! DELICIOUS! My partner in crime got the fire roasted chicken burrito! That was bomb since it had the sweet and spicy sauce on top! Lol it was so good that I asked for a small cup so that I got to drench every morsel with it! We couldn’t resist the chips and warm salsa! Ugh my mouth still waters thinking bout it while writing this review. The staff there were excellent! They were very nice and accommodating. The place was clean and liked the industrial design type vibe from it. Can’t wait to come back and try the other meat and dessert! Plus I want to try the horchata next time since they ran out today :( Happy Eating!
