There should be a flashing red star option to STOP and turn around. All previous reviews are correct. This shop is an absolute waste of time. The two women that chit chat amongst themselves rather than greet customers. I heard them talking about their Thursday Ladies Nights and how wonderful it is which the wine and chocolate. I can’t help but wonder who comes to this other than women who want free wine and chocolate. Nothing special about clothing here. If there was, they wouldn’t help you with your choices. Skip this place. The reviews are all clear. Just stay away.

Limited selection(half the floor space is empty) and wayyyy overpriced. Saw used So Brand jeans that retail for $ 20 – 30 max being sold for $ 18 and 7 for All Mankind for almost $ 50. If I’m going to be paying those types of prices, I’d rather just wait for something to go on sale and buy it new. Lots of Not Your Daughter’s jeans and outdated looking separates. Don’t bother even walking in if you have yet to hit menopause. A better bet would be the Goodwill on 135th St. where at least your money will go far.

I have tried to go to Trading Closets twice and both times it was a bad experience. The first time I went there to shop, the store is barely filled, and the assortment is horrible. It is definitely not full of current designers like they say in the commercials, and besides that I was the only customer in the store and no one once came out to see if I needed anything! I tried to give them another chance the other day when I went to sell barely worn 7 For All Mankind jeans and when I walked in I was told they weren’t buying anything. What kind of consignment shop doesn’t buy things, especially when their selection is so slim?! I will never go back. Clothes Mentor will always be where I go, the service and selection is 100 times better!!!

If I had to slap an age range on this consignment shop, it would be 40+. It’s more for«ladies». That’s okay! Just not really what I was looking for. I did find a few rings there that I liked enough to purchase. Staff seemed friendly. Personally, when I’m browsing clothing, I don’t need for an employee to check on me and ask me if I’m finding everything alright. It’s clothing. If I’ve made it this far in life and can’t figure out what a pair of pants looks like and where to find them, I might have a learning disability. That’s okay! Pretty pricey for secondhand clothing.

Meh. I was the only customer in the store today and milled around for quite a while but neither of the two women working there acknowledged me at all; they did keep up a conversation between themselves, however. Clothes seemed pretty basic consignment stuff – a little pricey in my book, but I did buy one pair of crop pants that had been marked all the way down to $ 5. Most women’s shorts were in the $ 15 — $ 25 range. When I checked out, the young lady who waited on me was pleasant – maybe you have to buy something to get their attention. btw, is there no tax on consignment clothes? My bill was an even $ 5.
