We had reservations for a truck this morning but when we went to pick it up there was only one lady working and about 20 people in front of us. Awful customer service and completely under staffed. Took over an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. After 30 minutes another lady showed up to help but was just as slow.

«We’ll get to you when we get to you» … Yes, that was a quote from the MANAGER Kyle and the lovely customer service I received today. After waiting in line for assistance once, getting a trailer hitched, then making me wait again with 14 people in front of me, this is what he said to me when I asked for help. I am more than happy to warn you to plan ahead by going somewhere else. There is nothing fun about renting a truck on a Saturday when new employees are learning the system– (and almost charged me 100% more). If I had known of this I would have GLADLY gone anywhere else and spent my time and money with another business more appreciative.

Okay I’ll admit that reviewing a uhaul center is not as exciting as reviewing a good bar or restaurant; but great service deserves to be acknowledged. We made an appointment to have a hitch put on our jeep so we could pull a trailer. By the way, it is much less expensive to go to uhaul than through the car dealership for this service! You do need to call about a week in advance so that they can order your hitch and you won’t have to pay for expedited shipping. The appointment takes about 1.5 hours. I was impressed with the professionalism of everyone we dealt with– the people on the phone, at the counter and the technician/​owner. They offer all types of uhaul trailers, boxes, packing supplies etc. If I ever need to get hitched again, I’ll be back!

These guys were great. They hooked up my Subaru with a trailer hitch, not batting an eye when I bought it online instead of through them. They just made sure it was one of the two brands they would install and away they went! Within an hour my Forester had a shiny new trailer hitch for about $ 50 bucks. What a deal! I would recommend taking your car to them if you ever find yourself in need of a hitch :)

So, I hate moving. Really do. But on at least 2 occasions I’ve come here and had a pleasant experience that made my day that much easier. They do have a kind of monopoly, so they are in total control of prices, and it’s pricey, but not outrageous.
Get here as early as possible.
