Tapas? Mmmm authentic mmmmm well I’m not sure about that, but they were tasty. This has been the only winery I’ve been to that has an outside tasting bar, on a beautiful spring day brilliant! They also had soccer balls, footballs and frisbees around for some healthy cavorting.

The person hosting the wine tasting was really nice and knowledgable. Cute tasting room and nice view. $ 3 for 5 samples.

This was our seventh stop on a dreary, damp Saturday that was part of the Bacon on the Lake-in wine tour promo on Cayuga Lake. Since this was more about the bacon infused dishes than the wine — I will comment on the bacon dish served here. Toro was serving a wonderful maple bacon ice cream produced for them by the Cayuga Creamery. It was delicious and wish I could have bought a pint. I don’t recall the wine served with this dish nor the other wines we sampled. Though their tasting room is in an unassuming double-wide prefab, lacking the charm of other places along the lake they have by far the best view looking right up the north end of the lake. In summer or fall this would be a gorgeous view.

I went to Toro Run Winery on 8÷13÷14 while vacationing in the Finger Lakes, NY with my boyfriend. I choose it partially because it was closest to our 1st stop of the day, Buttonwood. I really enjoyed the tasting experience at Toro Run Winery. It was different than other tasting experiences in the area with the wines being more on a dryer side(which suited my palate). The only reason I did not walk away with a couple of bottles is my boyfriend(who is not a fan of this style) and I had already bought enough wine to satisfy our needs. The wine at Toro Run although delicious is also a little more on the pricey side compared to the other wines in the area. The view at Toro Run Winery might be worth the trip(tasting) itself. I also felt(had it been later in the day) that it would be a nice place stop purchase a bottle and some food(they have a fairly extensive menu of tapas available) and sit on their deck enjoying the view. Overall one of the better tasting experiences during our vacation.

Toro Run wasn’t really to my taste in wines but they had a beautiful location and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The tasting room overlooks the lake and offers a great view during your tasting and great place to have a glass or two of wine after that if you like. Toro was really strong in dry reds which isn’t really my thing. But if you like that I’d highly recommend stopping here since it is some of a departure from most of the other wineries in the area.

Lots of original, delicious, affordable, and well-crafted blends. Wines are like a crazy Picasso painting. In my mouth. I’ve been twice and have left with at least 1 bottle each time. Nice owner and the location has a beautiful view of the lake.

What a great experience! My boyfriend and I were visiting the area from Texas and popping around to the different vineyards and this was by far our favorite! The staff was so wonderful, knowledgable, and friendly. It has a very home-like comfortable atmosphere and the wine was incredible! They even let us try a very rare wine in addition to our tasting. Definitely check this place out — the wine reminded me of what I tasted in France, fantastic! And did I mention the view?

Wow! This tasting room didn’t exist two years ago during our last Finger Lakes trip, so when we saw the awesome sign on the corner and decided to try it, we weren’t expecting much. We were so wrong! It was such a wonderful experience! The lady and gentleman working were so pleasant and hospitable! The Mo Mo red table wine knocked our socks off, so we bought two bottles! The tasting room is adorable with tables on the deck with a perfect view of the lake, and bar stools inside. $ 3 for 5 tastings was great! We also bought a cheese plate which was delish! We will probably head back tomorrow to stock up on Mo Mo! Definitely recommend!

We just went to this winery accidentally because we wanted to see the view from up above. Although we did not taste the wine here, the view of Cayuga lake from here is absolutely incredible. You can sit outside on the grass and have a picnic. I would go back next time to taste their wines and to have a picnic outside!
