Great meatball sub! Great service! Nice Italian restaurant snuggled in the middle of downtown Owego, NY.

I live in Owego and I order from there at least once a week! Never get tired of it. The food is great and the service(phone or wait staff, I’ve tried both!) is very helpful and super friendly. Prices are reasonable, portions are great. Cannot recommend this place enough! A true hidden gem.

Excellent service and food at a very reasonable price plus nice cold beer. Not big on atmosphere but it is clear that the owner is dedicated to high quality and value.

The only thing I really really like at their restaurant is their Stromboli. Everything else is pretty much the same as if I bought it in the store.

I’m not sure what’s changed about the pizza, but it’s not as good as it was in the past. And that’s a disappointment because it was one of my favorite places to get pizza.

This is becoming a weekly standing appointment for me! Love the pizza, wings and calamari. My only gripe is that the center of the pizza is a little soggy but after a few bites it’s perfectly crispy. The staff is friendly, fast and even remembers drink of choice when I sit down! Love that!

Worked here in high school and still never got tired of their food. Their dough is all home made and is a secret family recipe. The pizza is phenomenal as it should be at an Italian restaurant but the impressive part is that no matter what you order off of the menu it’s delicious. They do delivery and take out and more recently expanded and added a full bar.

I’ve been going to Originals for a long time and recently discovered the Alfredo. It is one of the best I’ve ever had and the warm bread is amazing.

I try and go here every time I’m in Owego. I love the thin crust, the pizza is really good, and the price is great. The apps I’ve got have always been good. Nice place to grab a slice and a beer. I can’t speak for anything else on the menu because I haven’t had it. But the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because there’s a pizza place here in Binghamton that’s reserved for.

Where do you go when you are in town on business and don’t want to eat alone in your room? Everybody loves Italian so when the Original Italian Pizza was recommended I gave it a try. It’s seat yourself, dine in or take out. I had the Chicken Parmesean special. It came with a side salad, fresh baked warm bread and dessert. The service was good not great, portions were large and overall the food was good. I would go back. If you are in Owego and in the mood for a very casual Italian /Pizza dinner give Original Italian Pizza a try.

Okay pizza, thin crust and decent sauce, but really really sparing on the cheese and cold when it got to our house, which shouldn’t be an issue when were three blocks away. Not so crispy with the crust, definitely needed a toss in a hot oven. Probably going to stick with Mario’s from now on.

I love this place! My husband grew up in Owego and we would always make a trip to Original’s if we were in the area. Their chick parm is delicious. The staff is always friendly. Food is cheap and the portions are huuuuge. Also, the bread is so so good. I really like their white pie with broccoli and spiedies, mmm-mmm!

OIP as it’s known locally, is sort of a chain. I say sort of, because the franchises are family owned, and it’s a big family. Their food is pretty good, reasonably priced but not spectacular. While I like the pizza, it’s not my favorite. The toppings are pretty good, the cheese is not top quality, but good. The crust however I find to be bland and tough. When you finish the topping part of the pizza you tend to leave the back on the plate. The pizza is very thin crust, the type you fold to eat. The subs though are pretty good. They bake the rolls on premise and the hot subs are really filling. Good meatballs and Sausage, and a very tasty Italian red sauce. Their Salads are Huge, and quite good. The house dressing is good also. OIP here in Owego, is pretty popular, It helps to have draft beer available and large tables if you want to sit with a group of friends. This is where this place really shines. My friends and I meet here several times a year for Beer and Pizza. The Chicken spedie pizza is good, Not the best in the area, but tasty none the less. While I don’t consider anything must try here, It’s a good place for lunch or a decent meal with friends and or family. They must be doing something right, we keep coming back.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Solid little place. The pizza by the slice was nothing spectacular, but fine and inexpensive. The cheese steak sandwich was decent and enormous. Our waitress was very nice. We’ll probably stop back in sometime if the mood for a huge sandwich strikes.

We visited this place for lunch on Tuesday. We were curious about it because there seemed to be another shop nearby that had the exact same name. However, since that one appeared to be emptied, I’m guessing it’s the same restaurant that happened to move into a larger space. This place is spacious and our waitress was friendly. I ordered the $ 2.99 lunch special and it was a bargain as it consisted of 2 large slices of pizza and a medium soda. Their pizza is New York style and I two plain slices that I had were somewhat comparable to the pizza I had in Manhattan/Brooklyn while growing up. The only thing that was off was the crust as the dough appeared to be on the chewy side. I didn’t mention the dough to my coworker until he remarked that the bread of his sub seemed unusually chewy. Still, if we are in the area again, we’ll most likely revisit this place.

Won’t go back. If you have a wing special and normally include bleu cheese and celery with your wings you should tell your customers when you decide to charge for it. I ordered six dozen wings tonight. Two people at the table use bleu cheese. I was asked if I wanted bleu cheese and said yes and was charged for six bleu cheese dressings. I mentioned this at the time of checkout and they said sorry but decided the extra few bucks was worth losing a customer I guess. Can’t say I’d have come back for wings again anyhow. There was little taste to the wings and the sauce was virtually non-existentant. Very disappointed. I’m sure the other food is probably fine but getting blind sided by the bleu cheese charge was too much for me.

I am from Owego but live in CA and can’t find pizza nearly as good or as excellent of a value as Original’s. A must do for every return trip home. Calzones, broccoli rolls and bread are also excellent.
