Amazing service! I don’t take the time to write many reviews but this place really deserves it. About a year ago, I needed a nose pad replaced on a pair of glasses. There were several other people in the store, but I was treated as though I was the only one there, and I would imagine the other customers felt similarly. After that experience, I new I’d be back if I ever needed anything else involving my eyes. Recently I came in to get ‘fitted’ for my first set of contacts. I knew absolutely nothing about contacts (other than they go in my eyes) but the doctor was so patient I found it hard to believe. I’ve been to dentists who were very short tempered, and never went back. The contrast in service really deserves the five stars.

Really like this business. Melissa Shear gave my daughter an exam for contacts and spent long, patient hours over two days teaching her to put them in (no additional charge). They also have the best selection of eyeglasses and will spend as much time as you need to find the best pair for your shape face.

Bernard Shear is the only place I’ve gotten glasses for the last 10+ years. For a while it was literally the only acceptable option for a large variety of cute frames I could find. Now there are a lot of trendy online options that are cheap, but you are not getting the quality and service.
They have all of the top brands (I’ve gotten everything from Paul Smith to Chanel here), including Oliver Peoples, Kate Spade, Versace, Gucci, etc. Sunglasess too (Ray Man, Maui Jim, and much more).
It’s a large, clean, store and they are happy to just let you browse (for as long as you want) or guide you through styles that might work for your face.
It’s certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It’s a family-owned business and they provide excellent service. I get my exams done with Melissa and she’s great.
Top notch and highly recommended!

A wonderful, locally owned store that has had fabulous products and top notch customer service forever!!! Harvey, his wife, and their daughter make shopping for glasses a true fashion experience. Well worth being a bit pricey– you get the best!
