Have to admit that we were a bit disappointed in our dinner. We did show up for the dinner crowd and had to wait 35 minutes to be seated but had an excellent waitress. Both of us ordered the small Flo’s Filet Steaks. The bread was delicious and the salads were fresh and crisp. However, once the steaks arrived we both agreed that they were VERY bland. Did they even put any seasoning on them? Sorry, but you pay more for a filet and expect more. Everything was good but the steaks and they had NO flavor.

We have eaten at this location several times but it has been a while. Today while shopping we stopped in and had an excellent lunch. After being seated and our server taking our order we were offered a a free appetizer by I assume a manager of your stuffed mushrooms. They were excellent and a good surprise. We had ribs and they were great as well as our server, David. David. was very personable and professional. I am a cancer patient and just had chemo last week and today was my first full meal since treatment. All of this made for a great time.

I came in at 520, sat at the bar, and already sold out of prime rib. Chef decided he could squeeze out a small order of the prime rib. I have waited for over 20 minutes to get my bill, but the bartender hasn’t even acknowledged me. Food was fair. Wild West shrimp was greasy and prime rib was a bit chewy in some areas. Salad was gross and was NOT hand cut as it says on the menu. I was hoping for better.

Stopped for a late dinner. Service was quick & friendly. Salads both very fresh. Steaks were hot, & exactly as ordered. Asked for green beans as a side, but server informed me they were out. Asked about the asparagus, & was offered that with no extra charge. Very nice.

All of my restaurant reviews take two things into consideration– the quality of the food and the experience of the meal. The quality of the food here was five stars! But the quality of the experience was only three stars. However it was the dining room manager, Jennifer who added a star to what could have been an average review. She stepped up and averted what otherwise could have been a negative experience for me. After a ten hour day of hard work, I look forward to one hour of unrushed eating in a comfortable atmosphere. I was dining alone and was immediately greeted by a very pleasant waiter. After taking my drink order, he was told that he would soon be getting a party of nine. Since I was a party of one, he was placed under some pressure to get my meal taken care of as soon as possible because naturally his attention would be taken up by the large party. I wanted an appetizer and I wanted to eat it in an unrushed manner before my steak came out. Upon placing the order, I specifically asked my waiter not to put in my steak order until I was through eating my appetizer. I do not mind waiting for the steak– I prefer waiting to eat a freshly cooked warm steak even if I have to wait 20 minutes for it over a cold steak that sat around while I was finishing up my appetizer. So– my side salad comes out before my appetizer– a bad sign. I again asked the waiter to refrain from putting in my order-I wanted to eat ALL of my appetizer(which by the way was the Wild West Shrimp– absolutely addicting!) in an unrushed manner. My salad sits there while I wait on my appetizer– no problem– the salad can wait– it is cold anyway. Then my appetizer comes out– what a welcome site– a boat load of shrimp with chunks of banana, red and jalapeño peppers! Just the right amount of light breading — the shrimp cooked crunchy– my mouth waters thinking about them! I wanted to relish each bite– and I was going to eat every last one. Then, two minutes later– when I am about 10% done with my appetizer– the waiter brings out my steak! I have 90% of an appetizer that I was not going to rush through and a salad to eat before I am willing to cut into a steak. I told him again that I did not want my order put in until I was done with the appetizer! He told me that he would place it back under the warming light and bring it out in another 5 minutes. I told him that I still was not going to be done eating my appetizer and salad in five minutes. By this time his party of nine was being sat and I sensed his frustration. Well in five minutes, when I am about 50% done with my appetizer and still have not touched my salad, he comes back with the steak! Now I know that the steak I will get will be dried out and told the waiter so– but I was not going to stop eating my appetizer just because he feels under pressure to handle a large party without having signed me off. He then gets the dining room manager– Jennifer involved. She took over in a professional and exemplary fashion. I love it when management steps in to assist staff who are under pressure. She provided me with a freshly prepared steak when I was ready for it. She made sure I was happy and well taken care of. And she took that extra step that is indicative of an employee concerned with the happiness of the customer, thank you Jennifer– because of you I will continue to be a fan of the Long Horn Steak House! By the way– the steaks here are the best around– forget about Logans or Lonestar or Outback– Long Horn Steaks are the best! Also I had the sweet potato casserole as a side. Forget about the sprinkles of granola– could do away with those but add a few more sprinkles of the pecans! Excellent taste– touch of coconut, brown sugar and creamy sweet potatoes– good enough to be put on the desert menu!

Stopped by Longhorn for late lunch. First seated next to kitchen. Worst table in the house. Requested a better location. Moved to center of restaurant. Waited too long for a server. Left after about 10 minutes. Place was less than half full. Staff seemed to ignore us because we dared to ask for a better table. I will never go back to that Longhorn steak house.

We should’ve known to walk out when the hostesses started debating(for over 2 minutes) where to seat us when the restaurant was only half full. We seated ourselves at the bar during their intense discussion and were greeted by the only employee at the restaurant that seemed to care about her job, Mindy. She promptly took our drink order, but then disappeared for awhile because she was also waitressing, even though there were at least 4 employees sitting around looking at a computer not doing a thing. We could also hear stressed out yells from the kitchen about not having clean silverware among other things, all while multiple employees were still sitting around the computer. Finally, our food came, but the manager decided to count wine inventory right in front of us and poor Mindy was standing there balancing all of our food in her hands while she finished(instead of moving slightly to the right to allow her to serve our food.) «Mixed green» salad is iceberg lettuce and the French onion soup was lumpy as Christmas coal. Our entrees were pretty good though, so all in all, only eat here if it’s take out.

Always great service at this LH. The food’s the same at them all(which I really like), but the service makes all the difference. My local LH doesn’t even come close.

After sitting and no one coming to wait on us, we left. As we were leaving the Manager followed and offered to «make it up to us». The place was half empty and a dozen servers walking around. No excuse. The place also smelled dirty. Have eaten there in the past with good service and good food then. Not sure what happened toothed place. Too many other good restaurants around to have to put up with this.

The service was great, the restaurant clean and all of the staff I encountered were extremely polite. Every waiter and waitress I passed on my entry and exit from the restaurant smiled and said welcome, or thank you. My waiter was very polite and helpful recommending great things on the menu when I asked. He noticed I was wearing a polo shirt with a Marine Corps emblem on it, when he brought the bill he said well it wasn’t the policy of the restaurant to give a military discount he took it upon himself to ask his managers if they could authorize one. This was a complete surprise and a very polite gesture by both the waiter and the management at this location. The food and service at this location were exceptional.

Came back thru town and ate at Longhorn again however asked for a waitress besides Kelly W. Our waitress was clean, attractive and you could tell she took care of herself total opposite of Kelly. However, she was serving the table next and they were complaining about her appearance and smell to. U would think something would be said to the manager about this. Definitely recommend just be careful who your waitress is.

Ok food. Always a wait or slow food service, but they do OK. The problem may be the area is underserved by restaurants. Would go and will go again.

The day to eat steak or any food for that matter at a chain restaurant is not Mother’s Day! However the food was pretty good! This will probably be the last chain restaurant I review I kind if feel like it is a bit of a waste. The food was good and the service was good. I feel like you can’t expect much more than that year days from chain restaurants

Well, I’ve been back several times since I wrote that first review, unfortunately they’ve been pretty big disappointments. I’ve had cold, soggy french fries that tasted like they were 3 hours old, tough, fibrous asparagus, and a series of overcooked steaks. The last time I was there I ordered my steak med-rare because i really wanted medium and they ALWAYS overcook them. It came out med-well. I sent it back, the manager was very nice and offered me another one, even brought out a pictograph so I could point to what I wanted. She said her manager was cooking this one, so it would be cooked right. Overcooked again. In fact, I’ve never had one cooked the way I want it. Given that this is a STEAKHOUSE, you’d think they’d have this issue figured out. Pretty difficult to continue to go shell out thirty bucks for an overcooked $ 5 steak.

I’m one of those people who will order fish in a steak place, which is what I did here… rainbow trout, because it was on the low-cal menu. But, I’ve had steaks here and, although I like MY steaks better than any others, this place ain’t too shabby.

So on sept 10th, I decided to go to longhorns and eat… its basically one of the most decent places to eat if you are in talladega(like I was) However this location is about 20 miles away. The service was good. Their entrees wasvery delicious. I didn regret coming here to eat. When I lived in VA I had several of these restaurants near by but it never caught my attention to go eat in one… but I sure did in AL… Good service, good food, and price is very decent.

When this location opened the service and food would have been rated 5 stars but they seem to have been losing the cooks they used to have. The last 3 times we have been the steaks have not come out as we ordered them. The flavor is almost always top notch and the steaks are very tender. The servers are always very friendly and the management will make something right if something is not right. It easy access from I-20.
