Came in to buy a universal link for my son’s bike. The gentleman asked all the right questions and suggested we come back with the chain so he could give us one that correctly fit it. He was very helpful. I’ve read the previous 1 star reviews on this place and was hesitant in coming in, but it’s close to home so we decided to give them a try. I’m glad we did. Maybe we came in on a good day or maybe they’ve decided to up their customer service. Either way, this was a good visit!

I needed a new chain but wasn’t sure what size I needed for my bike. Spoke with Nick and told him I had a single speed Cruiser style bike. They had a similar style on the sales floor so I said like that one. The one he gave me was for a freestyle BMX bike so it was too small. I thought oh well, we all make mistakes, I will just exchange it for the proper size one. I returned to the store to exchange it(30 min after original purchase). Nicks shift was over and there was a female there so I explained to her that Nick accidentally gave me the wrong size chain so I just need to exchange it for the proper size. She said sorry but no returns or exchanges. Could not believe that they would not give me the correct size when it was there fault they gave me the wrong one the first time. So she called the owner and asked if she could do anything for me. The owner said he could charge me a $ 15.00 restocking fee for the $ 30.00 chain then charge me $ 15.00 for the correct chain. The chain I needed costs $ 15.00. Bottom line is I had to pay $ 30.00 for a 15.00 chain because the salesman accidentally gave me the wrong chain the first time. I love to support my local businesses but this owners idea of customer service is unacceptable. I don’t think their doors will be open much longer.

Stopped by after work looking to buy a bike. The person working there admitted she is nothing more than a cashier and could not help me at all. Nobody else was there to tell me about the bikes or even fit me.

I went in for a simple bike procedure. I called ahead to see how much it would cost to have the procedure done and the person on the other end said I’d likely be $ 6 – 8. When I got there, I was greeted by a mustachioed mechanic who was friendly and began working(hence, the two stars versus one). A couple of minutes later some other non-mustachioed fellow, who I assume is the manager, walked in. He gave off this weird, passive aggressive, unwelcoming, «bike snob» vibe. The manager began passive aggressively arguing with the mechanic as the mechanic was working. The mechanic was having some trouble with the bike and the manager told me that if I wanted the work done, I’d have to leave the bike and be charged $ 45/hour. I declined because this weird guy didn’t seem trustworthy. I ended up doing the procedure at home in about 10 minutes with the help of some friends. I got my hands covered in grease, but it was worth it because a) I didn’t have to deal with that snob dude b) saved some cash and c) I didn’t have to leave my bike someplace for who knows how long. Perhaps this store is decent, I don’t know. Based on my limited experience, I do not recommend this place. If I was the store owner, I would get more friendly staff like the mustachioed dude.
