I highly recommend this company. I am rehabbing a 1956 beach bungalow in Santa Monica that needed a very specific vibe to be right. Joe Zboralski came out here with ideas and loads of samples, which he used to get an understanding of what the vision for the place was. He then patiently brought two more batches of samples until the perfect one emerged, a complex natural Hickory that perfectly complemented the mid-Century-to-modern blended evolution of that sweet bungalow. He was responsive throughout the installation, honest and forthright in the initial bid and in the inevitable changes to the job as it went along, and I came to trust him and his team, which became an integral part of my team on this job. Thanks, Joe, Hannah and Natalie, big shout out!!!

Went into Howards Carpet One looking for a particular piece of hardwood that we couldn’t find, and met one of the nicest salesman ever. Joe was great very helpful and was able to get us out of a bind. I would definitely recommend using them as they went above and beyond to help me.

Howard’s Carpet One provides flooring products and installation. One star is given in my review because installers were very professional, fast, and the actual product was of good quality. This negative review is given due to POOR business standards and poor complaint resolution we had. Howard’s changed our contract did not notify us of increase in price until demand for additional amount due approximately one month after installation. We changed our order to a less expensive product and still ended up owing them an additional $ 1,000.00. When questioned that this price difference was made to make up for the second carpet order they needed to complete the job. They mysteriously came up with an updated contract, with hand written changes, not initialed or dated by anyone. We had never seen or approved this«revision», nor an invoice, or even a courtesy call advising of the changes, etc. We simply started receiving demand for past due payments telephone calls. If this practice is NOT illegal, it is certainly unethical, and in this financial climate, I will not support businesses that operate this way, and do NOT appreciate good customers. Our resolution request is that they correct their contracting processes and/or billing methods. AND refund disputed amount they harassed us into paying so that we would avoid negative credit reporting. The product was fine, and if you are somehow able to ensure that your contract will NOT be changed, and you end up getting charged more, then go ahead and try to support local small business like we did.
