Jersey Mike’s Subs

It’s disappointing that the folks making the sandwiches don’t change their gloves in between orders.

Refuses to provide water cups to paying customers to drink water with their meal after they pay for it:(. I will never go back. Cups are less than $ 0.01 each and last time I checked we were in the USA where water is given upon request at no charge. BTW this is the only Jersey Mikes that refuses to supply water to paying customers.

Buffalo sandwich is my fav. Going to keep trying new sandwiched till I find one I can’t live without

I used to frequent the JM in Santa Clarita both solo and sometimes with my group of special needs clients from the program I worked with. A few times Mike came in and always treated us so well and when I moved to Oxnard, I was happy to see he had a location close to where I lived. The sandwiches were always so delicious and friendly workers assisted.
This location however, has disappointed me. First time, there was very little on those sandwiches that I had come to love. They also forgot to put the xtra side condiments I had ordered. They also do not sell salads like mac/​slaw here for some reason. Sides are nice and we always loved the mac salad.
This time, the sandwiches were ok, rather skimpy on the tomato and all I asked for was lettuce, tom and cheese. They were just not quite like the SC locations and they didn’t give me the large coke I ordered via phone. I call orders in so my hubby can stop wherever we want on his way home and not have to wait. The sparse tomato and NO Pepsi/​Coke did not make me a happy camper… will we go back, maybe but 3 strikes and your out.

Great customer service great looking food taste us the best. The owner was very nice and attentive.

New owner they remind me of mom and pops I like those kinda places you feel like they truly work hard for something they truly believe in and love:) awesome service but awesome food yum:)

Clean friendly environment! Lexus made an amazing sandwich! Ive only had Jersey Mikes one other time. Ill be frequenting there more often!

Naturally one would want to compare Jersey Mike’s to places like, Subway and Togo’s, so here we go…
I would have to say that Jersey Mike’s is in it’s own category when it comes to quality. Jersey Mike’s is definitely not shy when it comes to their sandwich toppings. The amount of meat that they stack, is pretty generous. Also, if you ask for «extra» this and extra that… You usually won’t get resistance from the sandwich specialist. I feel like if I even consider asking for extra lettuce or tomato at other places, I immediately get the stink eye. Another cool detail about Jersey Mike’s is that they cut their meats right then and there as you order the sandwich, talk about freshness on the spot.
Overall I would have to say that the quality of these sandwiches are pretty darn good. Price wise, it’s pretty average but the size of the sandwich is definitely worth it.
*Heads up: this location is kinda tucked away in its shopping center. If your familiar with Oxnard, they are located where the old Petsmart used to be.

I’ve always been satisfied after coming to jersey mikes. My only complaint is when they switched to new owners that the lettuce now tastes unwashed but the new orders are extremely nice. They also added more options to the menu and the staff is very helpful.

I’ve been here on plenty of occasions and with the new management its definitely a better atmosphere. Every time I come in employees have a smile on their face and the new owner smiles at everyone and even gave my daughter a cookie.

Love this place. The staff is always really friendly. I had a catering box from them and something went wrong and there was a miscommunication with the order and I ended up having to order 2 more boxes during lunch hour. It was busy but they got it done as fast as they could. All the staff worked together and got it done. They didn’t seem frustrated or flustered just got it done quick. I was expecting attitude like most places would. But nothing just a fast workiny nice staff. Thank you guys. I will always choose this place over subway.

Food is the same as every other place, however staff is unorganized. We paid for our subs first and took another 5 minutes to get our subs. The tip feature is dumb. Do fast food places ask for tips?

Excellent. No other words. The food is delicious. Staff is friendly and store clean. The bread is fresh and I highly reccommend the roast beef. The new owners are great and friendly. If you want a good sandwich there is no other place even comparable to this place.

Excellent service and food. I’ve been to the other jersey mikes around Oxnard and this location is by far the best. They just switched to new owners and what can I say, they are awesome. I’ve seen them a few times and each time they’ve been nothing but welcoming, professional, and courteous. Especially Bobbie Jo; she’s always greeting everyone with a smile and is willing to go that extra mile for her customers. 5 stars!

Excellent Jersey Mike’s location. New ownership as of 28-​Mar-​2014 is super friendly and helpful. They have a Grand Opening planned for 03-​May-​2014 with prizes, free subs, cake and more.

This Jersey Mikes Is Pretty Good, But Not The Best. I Been To Better, That’s The Reason For 4 Stars. I Really Wish It Was In A Better Location. But It’s Close To Home & There Subs Are Good. I Love The Number 9 Mike’s Way & The Philly Cheese Steak Sub. Enjoy.

This place is just like any other Jersey Mike’s except the fact that the people that work there are extremely unorganized. They need to figure out a better way to allow the customer to order the sandwich in an orderly fashion. I was told to pay for my sandwich before it was even made, this was the first time this has happened to me at a sandwich store. Please improve.

Jersey Mike’s Subs go way beyond Subway’s «eat fresh».
We got the GIANT sub to share (the original Italian ~ $ 12) ~ see pic of the huge sandwich in all its glory. It was EXTREMELY FRESH! And so delish :9
The Original Italian Sandwich description ~ Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni. A truly authentic, Jersey-​style Italian sub served Mike’s Way with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar and oregano.
Yes, my hubby and I nearly polished the entire giant sub in one sitting (proud foodies here!), but we were on the run AND starving by the time we got there!
The total came out to $ 14 and some change for the giant sandwich, a 22oz soft drink w/​refill, and a small bag of chips. As always, my hubby and I shared everything.
They freshly slice the deli meats right on to your bread upon ordering (unlike Subway), and while they do not have as many toppings as Subway, the quality and taste of what they do serve makes for one very TASTY sandwich (sure beats Subway any day!)
We ordered our sub with EVERYTHING including pepperocini, jalapenos, olive oil, vinegar, spices, and all the veggies they had there.
They gave us a choice of white or wheat bread, so I choose white.
I cannot speak for the hot subs b/​c I have a preference for cold subs, but a friend of mine said that the cold subs are always best here. Makes perfect sense to me!
It’s no wonder they won the vote for Ventura County’s best sandwich shop ~ they deserve it, but this is not my first time going to Jersey Mike’s Subs (the subs are always good no matter which location I go to).
Friendly and efficient service. No complaints there.
Squeaky clean women’s restroom (private one) ~ it looked like it had just been cleaned b/​c the plastic seat was up, and it was spotless.
The giant sub kept us full thru the entire time we spent at the Ventura County Fair nearby.
Order the original Italian sandwich ~ it is sooo guuud!!!
