As I run a lot of special events, Smart & Final has always been huge convenience for me. Sure you can plan ahead and maybe pick up some things cheaper elsewhere like Sam’s Club or Costco but for my particular situation that means:
1. Longer lines & wait time
2. Additional travel time and difficulty when you need to make a quick run for something you ran out of or forgot
3. Restrictions on payment type
4. No ice, which we’re always in need of
5. More bulk than I need, etc.
The list could go on and on…
Now with Smart & Final Extra you have the benefits of your local grocery store such as fresh fruit and vegetables.
Teresa, the store manager, and her team (Lalo, Mike, Liz, Maggie, etc.) are always extremely helpful when we need to place an order or have any special requests.
Can’t wait till the one in South Oxnard near my house opens up!

New store is clean, big, and beautiful. Too bad they work the heck out of their cashiers. Their is nobody bagging the groceries — because the cashiers have to do the bagging. They have to scan the product, bag the product, and then push it aside to make room for more groceries. This procedure tends to slow down the line and the cashier is working as fast as they can. C’mon S and F help out the consumer and your employees!

I love this store has a lot of selections for various items most of the stuff they carry things that I use for my business and they are definitely different from other stores they carry all the essentials for events parties and the like not to mention they’re great selection of syrup for mixed beverages

I go there because it’s convenient to my home but the prices are kind of high compared to Costco and Sam’s club and the lines are always long. I go there because they have the canning items I need but other than that there selection is not that great. The one is Camarillo is much larger and nicer.

They use to have a membership card for which you paid nothing. I’ve been going to S&F for a long time. They have professional grade food service equipment, cleaning supplies, items restaurants & mobile vendors can use like plastic spoons, forks, hot dog containers, paper cups, wrapping paper, napkins etc. Their selection of food items is sufficiently stocked with any favorites you may prefer. My favorites are: Smoked bacon Ends & Pieces, crinkle cut potatoes for frying, ready to fry onion rings, beef patties, cheeses, Polish sausages and my favorite of all– Mrs. Friday’s frozen Butterfly Shrimp. Go check them out. Tell ‘em «Joe» sent ya!

Exactly what two stars says: Meh. I’ve experienced better.
Smart & Final is in between a Costco and a Albertson’s market. It doesn’t have all the necessary items in bulk for cheap and the individual packaged items are more expensive.
Sure you don’t have to pay for a membership but I feel like my $$ can be better spent elsewhere (Costco, Albertson’s, even Food For Less).
Nice employees and clean store no good deals.

My mom likes to get some grocery items here sometimes. I believe they claim to offer club discounts without the club prices. It’s worth a trip.
