Had lunch at Larsen’s the other day on my lunch break. As usual it was awesome. Charles the manager always greet you with a smile and says it’s great to see you. And Nate is one of the best servers. He’s always friendly and welcoming and remembers what you you like

Went Thurs June 23rd for my wife’s bday and staff is awesome. Ben and Nate at the bar were just awesome. Ernie our server went out of his way to make it a great night as did the Manager Charles. Even the head chef came out to check on our dinner. For Stacey’s birthday instead of doing the same ice cream and brownie she received a butter-cake with cream cheese cooked inside, ice cream and whipped cream on the side. Ernie even wrote happy birthday on the plate! was so awesome! Thank you Larson’s wait staff for making it such an awesome night! we will be back.

My wife made reservations for our sons graduation dinner. As always, we received the 5 star treatment. Melissa was our waitress and provided me and my family with the best service anyone could ask for. Always on top of it, very friendly and professional. Besides the service, the quality of the food was outstanding. As a steak lover, ribeye is a top priority but this time, I wanted to change it up a bit. I tried the porterhouse steak and I must say, it was welled season, very tender and cook to perfection. Diffently, I would recommend this to anyone else who loves steaks. As for the family, they indulge in a nice medium rare N. Y Strip, and lobster tail with Mac and Cheese. 2 thumbs up all around. If you are ever in the neighborhood, Larsens is a place to experience. Please make sure you ask for Melissa.

We came here for the wife’s birthday, we made a reservation from open table we got a front row parking spot and were seated right away. Our server was Hayes F. she is a true professional at her craft. She was very knowledgeable not only of the menu items but the proper beverage to pair with them. She was on point and never dropped the ball on anything we asked for. We started with the Spicy Tuna Tataki Roll appetizer Spicy tuna, cucumber and avocado topped with ahi it was perfect way to start the meal. The pre-dinner conversation was steak or sushi? so we had the best of both! We both ordered the wet aged Angus 8oz Filet Mignon with Béarnaise Sauce. The meat was melt in your mouth good and cooked perfect medium rare. The presentation of the plate was very plain; meat, potato and a baked garlic flower or a stinking rose as its come to be known not much flair. The Béarnaise Sauce was not as tangy as I make it. I couldn’t taste much tarragon in it either, vinegar or the tarragon reduction. It was overly buttery and before we could finish the meal it had broke(separated). I got the Loaded Baked Potato it was a big baker with plenty of butter and sour cream. She got the Garlic Mashed Potatoes… meh Hayes Brought her out a birthday sundae for her birthday ane we ordered a Crème brûlée both were delightful. The place is set up so the bar and the dining room are side by side with no break or barrier other than a half wall and that made it very loud for dining especially some bar fly’s cackling next to us so loud we couldn’t hear the musician very well. The thread that is holding this at five stars instead of 4 was the perfectly executed Tataki Roll, Filet’s and the prime service from Hayes. We were out the door for a cool $ 220 including a fat tip which was well deserved.

Great service! Delicious food and perfect wine selection. The crab cakes were filled with chunks of crab laid over a bed of creamy sauce. Both the New York Strip and Prime Rib melted in our mouths. We didn’t know what kind of wine to pair with our meal so the Assistant Manager came and helped us with a selection.

Decided to give Larsen’s another chance since we were celebrating a belated birthday for a friend. I made the reservation through the website requesting a booth and was seated in one. Let them know we were celebrating a belated birthday, but unfortunately it was not acknowledged. Besides that… Service: Our server, Camille, was very polite and helpful in providing food and drink recommendations. Outstanding attentive service all the way around. Food: — I opted for the prime rib and my fellow diners went with the ribeye. All the meals came out perfect. The steaks were cooked as requested and my prime rib was delicious. Larsen’s definitely redeemed themselves from our first dining experience and I’m glad we gave them another chance! We will be back…

Too much white noise. The conversations that employees have openly in front of guests ruins any chance of having that exceptional moment. I find most of the food mediocre at best. I think if your going to go upscale dining go for mastros in Thousand Oaks it’s worth the drive.

This place is okay. We had dinner reservations for a group of 6 last week to celebrate a friend’s birthday. They have happy hour from 5−7pm, but it’s only at the bar, and there’s literally no discount on cocktails. so what’s the point? We just ordered drinks at our table. The first letdown was the drinks situation. We ordered our drinks at 6:00 and did not get them until 6:30! They were out of one of the beers we ordered, and then they were out of a syrup for the birthday boy’s drink. but they didn’t tell us that until they brought the rest of the drinks over, so he had to wait another 10 minutes for his drink. It wasn’t even that packed that it would take so long. The food was okay. Everyone seemed to love the bacon wrapped shrimp. The steaks were good– but not worth the price they charge. I had the stuffed chicken breast, which was tasty, but a weird combo of artichokes and broccoli. Then for dessert they did bring out a complimentary brownie sundae, but the waitress made it super awkward, and just placed it down in front of him and like walked away. We sang happy birthday to him, but she and the rest of the staff could have done a better job at acknowledging it. Then AFTER he finished his sundae, the waitress asks if anyone else wanted dessert. This was terrible planning. She should have asked if we wanted dessert and then brought the birthday dessert out with everyone else’s. Just seemed weird and definitely could have been done better. Overall, this place is okay. The cocktails aren’t strong, the food is decent, but they’re pricey.

Who orders a pork chop at a steak house? This chick right here. Holy wow! Do it. You won’t be sorry. Great atmosphere. Nice Happy Hour. Four measly asparagus spears as the side though? Lame. That said, our servers in the bar area(John and James) were top notch; fun and silly with just the right amount of upscale professionalism! We capped our meal off with the Butter Cake which rivaled Mastro’s version and… Dare I say it? Topped it! A great meal and service, all around. Keep it up!

Birthday dinner tonight — a couple of days late… I was looking forward to this dinner as of the numerous restaurants in the Collection at Oxnard, I had not tried this one yet. First — I wondered how an «upper scale» restaurant would fare in Oxnard. Well, without a reservation(although the staff«recommends» same…) my wife and I walked in at 7:05PM and we were seated in a requested booth in less than 5 minutes. I should be happy! Well, I was, but this is on a Saturday night… admittedly the night before Easter. I wonder what a regular Saturday night looks like… As it was my birthday, I wanted a Scotch(MacCallam — 15 y.o.) — [$ 15] Enjoyable, but served neat when I ordered on the rocks(nit #1) And I hate paying restaurant prices on «call» drink orders. Buyer beware…(Nit #2) My wife doesn’t like to spend money at restaurants, but she does like the BBQ offering at Larsen’s. She had the Tri-Tip and Baby Back Ribs combo(Loaded Bake Potatoe side) [$ 29] She thought it was very good. Me? I started with the Tomato and Fresh Burrata Salad. [$ 9] The tomatoes were not quite ripe(Nit #3), but the fresh mozzarella was excellent! I ordered the Dry-Aged filet with the Loaded Baked potato side [$ 51] and decided that the creamed spinach [$ 8] would fit nicely. I love a steak-house spinach dish. I will note here that a number of sides are available ala carte [$ 6 to $ 8] in typical steak-house fashion. But perhaps to avoid«sticker shock» almost all of the entrée’s come with a choice of one side as part of the meal. I ordered the steak medium and although the meat was excellent with great flavor, half of the steak was medium and the other half rare… Sure I could have sent it back, but heh… I try not to complain on my birthday… even though it technically wasn’t. The kitchen should have turned it once more on the grill… but better than overdone and I would have sent it back had that happened. The restaurant is large — basically one large room with a 5′-0″ high half wall dividing the restaurant from the bar area. The bar crowd was lively which probably contributed to the live music turning up the volume which overflowed into the restaurant area making conversation at our table just«a little bit» difficult. That and for 10 minutes after the sun set, people(had to be more than one) played with the light dimmers which got to distracting on the 4th try. The service was pleasant but«spotty» in attentiveness. A 10% night on the scale of 10%(needs improvement), 15%(expected), 20%(outstanding) tipping scale. Will I go back? Sure! Will I go back next Thursday? No — this is a «special occasion place rather than a «dining regular.» Bill for two with the $ 15 Scotch and the«comp» dessert — $ 124.50. Nice = yes. Wonderful = No.

We visited Larsen’s for the first time tonight. Our server, Zach, was excellent. He welcomed us and answered all our questions about the menu. He listened carefully to our questions and made wine and entrée suggestions that were spot on. The food was excellent. Our party had the Herb Crusted Chicken, the Chikean Sea Bass, Lamb Chops, and the Double Lobster tails. The prices are on par for the quality of the meals. We will return!

Our following review was read right away by the management(our waiter was Zach aka the manager) and our order of the oysters was taken off our bill! Wow… How can we not come back to a place that takes our reviews seriously?! Thank you Zach! —- Had reservation for 7:45 Valentine’s Day dinner. Got seated right away in the depressing back room. I asked to get moved to the main dining room and we were accommodated right away. The restaurant is packed with Valentine’s couples. They offered a 3 course Valentine’s Day dinner for $ 69/person but we didn’t like the choices so we opted to order from the main menu. Appetizers: $ 19 ½ dozen. Disappointing because they were just okay. $ 21 crab cakes. Pricey but they are really really good. Seriously really good. Dinner: $ 41NY strip with a side of brussel sprouts: 7⁄10 for steak, 8⁄10 for brussel sprouts. $ 48 Porter house with a side of fully loaded baked potato with everything on the side. 8.5÷10 for steak, 10⁄10 for potato Our meals were decent as we have had better quality NY strips and Porter house for the price. 4 stars for the food. The service here is excellent. The waitress from the back room where we were seated originally had no problem with getting the hostess to get us another table. Our waiter Zach was most knowledgeable with the menu and attentive. They have music here from Wednesday through Sunday. 5 stars for the service and ambiance. They have happy hour here from 5 – 7 that we want to check out.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened so I decided to try for our Christmas dinner with my husband. I made a reservation through OpenTable. It was really easy. We arrived there 15 minutes before but we had to wait until our reservation time although that was ok for us. The receptionist was very friendly and all waiters were friendly too. I ordered red glass wine, Flemmings House Salad, USDAPRIMEDRYAGEDSTAKES(Filet Mignon) with Maple Glazed Carrots and Pecan Pie a la mode. The stake was not the best stake I have ever had but everything was good. I loved the Pecan Pie! My overall experience at Larsen’s Grill was great. There is a bar corner so you can stop by and have a drink after you have dinner somewhere. ※There are many parking spaces behind the restaurant.

This review is for a lunch we had a few months ago. We were trying to impress a friend that was here from out of town for his birthday. We thought we were off to a good start when they seated us right away but then we sat there for a while and waited for a server. The prime rib dip was good but it should be it was $ 19. We had the lobster sandwich and it was a bit fishy .The best part of the lunch was the house salads with the delicious candied bacon on top. Lunch was over $ 80 for 3 so it’s for special occasions for us. The did comp us a delicious hot fudge Sunday for our friends birthday. The prime rib sandwich was so good though we will be going back and giving them another try real soon. I was contacted by Mark the manager and he was a nice gentleman who wanted to have feedback so he could do something to try to improve the restaurant and its food and service. He seemed authentically concerned about the issues we had at the restaurant. We will give it another chance but at that price point not too many people are gonna do that too often.

I’m not really a steak person so steak houses aren’t really my thing but my boy just graduated law school and his wife set up a celebration here for all of his friends. Off first impression I thought the restaurant was very classy and sexy. They had a guy in the bar area playing live instruments while singing covers and he sounded great! My fiancé and I stood at the bar for a while to get a drink and we weren’t really sure why it took so long but it was ok. Once the rest of our party arrived, they directed us to the back part of the restaurant for huge parties. It was a section behind a closed door next to the kitchen that had a separate TV and 3 tables in a «U» shape prepared to sit about 30 people. The room was decorated perfectly with gorgeous paintings, an electric fireplace like wall mount and a huge flat screen tv. The service was pretty good but the only problem was we had to hunt the waiter down to take our orders after a while. Once they came everything was fine. Now for the food & drinks: MOSCOWMULE — we ordered at the bar and it was hella strong to me lol. That’s always a good thing. RASPBERRYMARTINI — delicious!!! It almost tasted like candy and was very flavorful. That drink was amazing. WEDGESALAD — the salad was very good and the bacon was on point! FILETMIGNON — my fiancé ordered this and she gave me one tiny bite. She raves about how great it was and I really can’t remember how good it was because she barely gave me any. She LOVED it though and she barely even eats meat. BACONWRAPPEDPRAWNS — these might of been my favorite out of everything. The prawns were HUGE! They also came with some sort of dipping sauce that was very tasty but I’m not quite sure what it was. These are a must try if you like shrimp and bacon. CRABSTUFFEDPETRALESOLE — amazing! This meal comes on top of a pile of mashed potatoes and a few asparagus(so make sure you don’t get mashed potatoes or asparagus as your side) and it comes with your choice of 1 side. I chose French fries. The fish and crab were delicious and very soft and light. Overall we had a wonderful experience and the night was a success. My boy got drunk and is still recovering as I type lol. Thanks Larsens for a great time. P. S. It can get pretty expensive so definitely be aware of that. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Wow! Never in a million years did I think I would be so impressed with a steak house, but the food and service were just excellent. My friend called and wanted to go out and celebrate her birthday early, She decided where she wanted to go and we headed out only to be pulled in by Larsons, after reading the reviews on Unilocal and seeing some of the pics we parked out front and headed in. One thing you should know, this is a place you dress up to go to. I am a bit embarrassed to admit I was über casual because we had been in-route to an entirely different kind of fare, but the staff treated us warmly and seated us quickly. A server by the name of Ashley came to our table and greeted us, and went on to explain the way they age the meats. We were then approached by a male server by the name of William who was our actual waiter, he was attentive and friendly. I was eyeing the prices, this isn’t cheap fare my friends. $ 19& above and that includes appetizers… But with all that said, I would spend the $$$ because damn if the food wasn’t melt in your mouth good. I opted for the Barbecued tri-tip and baby back ribs, that comes with a choice of a side. My friend and I chose the loaded baked potato, our waiter returned and apologized because they’d ran out of potatoes but would substitute a side and then bring us our potatoes, as they were in the process of getting more. So we got two sides for the price of one, not bad. It was prom night so they were extremely busy, all I could think of was, these kids must be loaded! This did not deter our server, we never felt rushed or that he was rushed either. One nitpick, for being a high end steakhouse it was bothersome to have screaming kids at the tables around me, hello, we’re not at Denny’s or Red Robin, parents please tell your kids to zip it or take them outside. I will be back, excellent food, great service and our server resembled Justin Timberlake… I do believe he thought I was flirting with him when I asked, but not to worry young buck… This cougar had her claws in last night.
