Im a dog lover, so I will give them some extra love. The atmosphere is low key, so I am already happy. Actually the food is very satisfying, a place where you will leave full. Whenever we are in town, we stop by to refuel the jets. Staff is very accommodating and everything so far has been tasty. I do not have any favorites yet, just been adventurist and ordering something different on the menu. Standby, will be updating…

Auggie Auggie Auggie! Best bartender /waitress ever. The food is great. Atmosphere is always happy but changes hourly with the crowd that shows up. It’s a fantastic everyone including family affair. Feels like home without the need to clean up after yourself.

Wow, where do I start… my girlfriend and I came in 2÷18÷2016, we were sat right away and welcomed with in 4 mins(which is amazing). Jason was our server, he was happy, out going, very welcoming, etc. he was very knowledgeable about the menu. He asked if this was our first time we said yes it is and the manager came by about 5 mins later with the garlic flat bread which was FANTASTIC, we ordered our food, baby back ribs and a steak(medium rare) food came out in about 13 minutes, perfectly cooked steak and the ribs were finger licken good! I’m very very highly satisfied, we will definitely be coming back! THANKYOU!

Jene’ did an awesome job serving our hike group last night! She was friendly, prompt and understanding. It is nice to have someone who truly cares about people working so hard… Thank you Jene’ for making us Lazy Dog fans… We will be back for sure!

I went there for a birthday. I got a blue cheese and bacon burger. I couldn’t taste the blue cheese or the bacon. Fries were good. My BF got a chicken pot pie, which tasted good. A friend of mine got a BBQ pork pizza and didn’t like it. Service staff were cool, let her return it and not pay for it. She got a soup, which she really liked. While the staff were cool, I wasn’t super happy with the food and won’t go back.

As I walked in on this busy Friday night we sat down at the bar area. Belle, helped out my buddy and I. So if you ever get the chance request her she was very funny and professional. Might I say we were very picky about our good and she was very patient as we explained. Dinner was great they have a lot to choose from I went with the fish tacos, great choice. Belle, made our night I must say, she is great with people and I would so come back for another pleasant night.

I do enjoy the setting, and the staff was very nice and décor is impressive. I ordered the brunch pizza, a brunch menu special. I was disappointed because the dough was not thoroughly cooked. Our waitress was quick to act and listened when I let her know and showed the raw dough and also brought the manager to the table. I was uncomfortable having to explain again why I was unhappy with my meal but I appreciated the effort I suppose? Overall a nice location but I will not be eager to go back anytime soon.

The food and drinks were awesome. Our server Nate was extremely helpful navigating the menu. He recommended the Chicken Parmesan with Alfredo Sauce instead of the usual marinara, and he was wise to do so. My girlfriend had the Ginger Salmon and it was also good. The house IPA and Red Ale were delicious. Nate was awesome, so was the GM, the hostesses, and the bartenders, the food was very good and very filling. Good place for a casual night out. We will definitely be back.

I always have a good time and enjoy the food when I come here. Consistent with the food quality, beer selection, and service. Came here for brunch today with a party of 10 and everyone had a good time and said the food was good.

My department came here for lunch after doing a charity canned tree event in the middle of the plaza at The Collection on Friday. I’ve been to their restaurants in Torrance and Thousand Oaks before, but this one still impressed me. I loved the cutie pictures of doggies on the wall, and in an attempt to combat some of the holiday gluttony, I avoided the beautiful lemonade drinks and mouth-watering milkshakes to order mint tea and chicken enchilada from the healthy menu instead. The mint tea was organic and did not contain any black tea, which was a plus for me since I was trying to avoid caffeine. I hate it when I’m trying to get a caffeine-free drink and the mint is mixed with black tea. I also got two packets of honey, which was a lovely touch. I liked how the waitress refilled my hot water, so I actually got two cups of tea instead of just one. Some places don’t do hot water refills. The chicken enchilada was listed as spicy, so I was thinking of avoiding it at first since I won’t really like spicy foods. But I’m glad I ordered it because it was the perfect amount of heat for me. Not 5-alarm tingling, but just enough of a zing to zap my taste buds. :) When the dish came out, I was a bit disappointed at first, because it looked a bit sparse and sad. Just one glob of tortilla in the middle of some green goop, surrounded by black beans. It looked really little, and I almost regretted not ordering some other tasty heart attack on a plate instead. But as I ate my dish, I got a delightful sensation of bright lime juice, chunky shreds of juicy chicken, and a lot of hearty, thick cheese. The dish was delicious! I couldn’t believe that it was actually on the light and healthy menu. So I was really happy with my meal. The only bad thing was that the service was really slow, but there was only one waitress serving our entire section(which included like 30 of the people from my department), so she was doing the best she could under the circumstances. But I wasn’t in any hurry, as I wasn’t rushing to another appointment afterwards, so it was okay for me.

Stopped in for lunch today, and pretty glad I did! Ordered a green salad, and the hatch chili Mac & cheese. Salad was a great mix of leafy greens with a few croutons, radish, and some roasted red peppers. Really simple, fresh, and Delilah. Then my inner fat kid had to try to the hatch chili Mac, and DANG! It is so delish! Nice bacon throughout, awesome chili bread crumbs, and a very flavorful cheese profile. I would come back just for this dish! Kinda quiet at lunch time, and my server was Amalia. She was just perfect! Checked in on me regularly, always delightful demeanor, and showed no stress when she got triple sat. If you come in, she is worth asking for:)

I’d love to rate this place higher, but they need to earn it. It can’t be based on a per visit case. I’ve been to the T.O. location a handful of times, but I’ve only been here twice. The first time clearly wasn’t all that memorable because I don’t really remember it. I came by for happy hour with a friend this past Friday. I actually wanted to go somewhere else, but we found out they have happy hour so we came here instead. Their happy hour is from 3 to 6. We got there shortly before 5 and I thought it would be ridiculous busy since it was a Friday and also the day before Halloween, but when we got there it wasn’t too busy. We were seated in the outside patio. There was a good amount of people there, but not too crowded. Our server Bell was very nice. She made sure we were checked on and refilled our drinks promptly. Everything we ordered was off the happy hour menu. We got 3 items: 1. Ahi 2. Chicken Lettuce Wraps 3. Kung Pao Calamari Verdict: the food was so so. I loved the ahi. The wrap was ok. The sauce that came with the wrap was entirely too sweet. The calamari was my least favorite. We didn’t know it wasn’t fried. I had a feeling something was afoot when I was asked what kind of rice I wanted with it when I ordered it. The drinks like the food was so so. I got 2 drinks. The pomegranate sangria and a hefe. My friend got the cucumber martini which tasted great and a beer. I will say the service was great. And the price wasn’t too bad. Our tab was only about $ 40. That’s 3 appetizers and 4 drinks. Not too bad.

This place was pretty sweet! We came here for my cousins birthday and I enjoyed a few drinks. The décor and look of this place really reminds me of the chain Yardhouse. So did the menu actually– it has a huge variety and doesn’t focus on just one type of food. This place would be great for any kind of occasion. The pen that came with my credit card bill had a naked man on it. That’s all to be said about that! Note: the back outdoor area allows dogs(cool!) and has a huge fire pit. Perfect to chill around and enjoy a Mango jalapeño margarita with your buds!

Highlights on the good side: pot roast, stir fry’s, and salads. It’s fine, just fine — so don’t kill me when I round up to a 4 star — it’s probably a 3.75. I don’t really go here for the food — it’s the overall happy hour or easy meeting place with friends. The décor inside is like a BJ’s Pizza, so it’s not unusual or spectacular but nice. TV’s set around the center bar area, but no sound… so it gets a thumbs down in that department. Pizza — I’ve forgotten that the chain changed their crust a few years back. What used to be on flat, rectangular-shaped, thin crust — has become round, medium and dense crust. Randy no likey, and thinks chef is a lazy dog. Need to change this back to the way it used to be. Location Specific: Oxnard ==================== The main feature for me has always been their happy hour. Now offered 3pm-6pm and 9pm-CLOSE, other locations are without the holdout hours in-between. The HH includes an offering of their own brews, other drafts, wines, some cocktails, and a dozen appetizer choices at a major price discount. Note: Monday night football has the extended happy hour hours, so watch out Randy! The service has meh, but I have confidence this was a fluke. Located in the Towncenter Square, it’s a fairly new location. Come here when The Yardhouse is jammed.

More like 2.5 stars due to decent customer service. I came here yesterday for their happy hour with my husband and our roommate. My roommate had ordered their mini pizza($ 7)and turns out there was chards of ceramic plate in his food. One bite and he spat it out notifying the waiter. They handled the situation well by bringing over the manager Tommy who addressed the issue politely and asked if my roommate needed any medical attention seeing how he pretty much ate a ceramic plate… but luckily, he did not. They offered a new pizza and compensated us for it. But come on, what happened shouldn’t have happened at all in the first place for a chain this size. Disappointed. The other food came out mediocre as well. The calamari tasted more like mediocre orange chicken, not like calamari at all. I didn’t enjoy the chicken chili verde chicken nachos($ 7)although portions were huge! The edamame($ 4) were my favorite of the 7 or so items we ordered. I had better lettuce chicken wrap at BJ’s. All in all, likely not to return unless I want to dine in the patio with my pup(the only major upside for me now to this chain)

Came here with my husband craving some of their small plates. I wasn’t going to mention the trouble I had in the past, but our server asked if it was our first time at the restaurant and I admitted I’d been there before, with mixed results. He was genuinely interested in hearing what had gone wrong and vowed he would make sure our visit was a hit this time. His name was Dennis and he was great. Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic attitude and good attention to us. He took our orders promptly, kept our drinks full and checked on us frequently during the first half of our visit. A manager also stopped by a couple of times, once with a complimentary flatbread appetizer to try to win us over. He checked on us a few times too. Our orders showed up correctly and were hot, fresh and tasty. Minus one star for a sluggish pace towards the end of our meal but everything else was spot-on. Next time I come here I want to make sure I’m sitting in Dennis’s section!

NOT A PUBCRAWL, A PUBDRIVE! BACKGROUND: Where did the Lazy Dog name come from? One snowy afternoon, walking back into the lodge after a long morning on the slopes, Chris noticed a dog lying by the toasty fireplace. Commenting to his buddies on how much he loved his time hanging out there, he told them he wished everyone could enjoy life as much as that«lazy dog’ by the fire. STATS: Saturday — Sunday 10:00 a.m.-midnight Monday — Friday 11:00 a.m.-midnight HH(bar & patio only): Monday-Friday 3−6pm Sunday-Thursday 9pm-close Indoor/outdoor seating On-site free parking In the The Collection at Riverpark EXPERIENCE: A beer snob friend and I thought we’d take pub crawlin to a new level by taking it on the road. We started some brew tasting at Absolution in Torrance and stopped along the way to Santa Barbara to a couple breweries/brewery-like establishments. By the time we got to Oxnard we were a bit famished and I suggest Lazy Dog. I’ll admit I had an ulterior motive on this stop, but I did share with the friend prior to exiting the Fwy in the event friend didn’t want to stop. Parking was easy, as well as getting seated in the bar area. They were a bit crowded and there was a wait for tables, but I was at present on a mission to eat and move along to the tangible reason I wanted to stop at this outdoor mall-like locale. Our friendly server greeted us, and asked if we were ready to order a tasty beverage. As neither of us has been to a Lazy Dog before, and their wide selection of brew, we did need a bit more time to figure out what to order. The server did offer the flight sample and we held that under advisement. At last, we agreed on half a dozen flights, which were ordered and delivered, as well as our food order was submitted. I ordered: Sriracha Chicken Sandwich Grilled-to-order chicken breast, spicy herb aioli sauce, crispy bacon and pickled cucumber salad on a toasted French baguette Friend order: Hawaiian Fried Rice(from the weekend brunch menu) Stir-fried steamed rice with hickory-smoked bacon, pork sausage, cabbage, veggies & eggs Both plates were big enough make a Boarder Collie«Lazy», well prepared, and jammed packed with some amazing flavors that played well in our mouths. We definitely didn’t bark up the wrong tree on your selections. Our server was personable and helpful with making our choices. What was my ulterior motive? One acronym, REI. Experience doesn’t stop there. I didn’t realize until I arrived home that day that I had left my wrist brace at the eatery. I called and spoke to the hostess on duty and she took my number and said she would look around an either call me back directly or have the manager call me. Later that evening, he hostess did call me back only to tell me she was unable to locate my brace, as well as inform me she asked our server. The next day I received a call from the manager who listed all the places she checked only to come up empty handed. Pun fully intended. It’s those extra steps that restaurants take that name even an unfortunate mishap make things entirely right. Fortunately, my physical therapist didn’t charge me for the loss. Yay!!!
