Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Food is always good and they are very nice to breastfeeding moms. Didn’t ask Me to cover up or anything.

The reason for the five stars is because of the great service I received here while on a date. Jose was extremely attentive and very welcoming, not sure if this is read by them but my date was one of the few to order dessert first. I hadn’t experienced such service in quite some time, especially in Oxnard, but we were both very happy with him!

This place is a by definition hit or miss… Don’t know if it’s the staff or the cooks
Sometimes it’s phenomenal service and cuisine… Other times you’re waiting forever for drinks and even longer for your food with little to no attention from your server … Giving 3 stars cuz the food is consistently good…

It seems our waitress was more concerned about the table next to us, considering their table was much larger and the tip shouldve been way better than ours, karma strikes again!!! Because we were a table of 2, she assumed the tip wasn’t good enough. Exactly why our table of 2 left her sorry ass a 20… next time… well. never mind, there won’t be a next time at this location!

I got a gift card for Olive Garden for Christmas and I have been dying to use it ever since as this is one of my go to restaurants especially for the soup salad and breadsticks special. However, I was slightly disappointed that they no longer offer unlimited soup salad and breadsticks and now it is served as an 1199 on tray /​appetizer. I also ordered the Tour of Italy which was ok. We had the lasagna which was delicious the four cheese pasta which was ok and the ravioli Marsala which tasted like there was way too much Marsala wine cooked in it. We had to flag the server down anytime or salad or bread sticks or soups with empty and I’d say the service was just ok. I understand that there can be a one off and as much as I love Olive Garden I’m willing to give it another try. Maybe my expectations were a little high as I’ve been looking forward to this meal for 2 months. I really hope our next experience tops this one and I will certainly keep you posted.

My boyfriend goes nuts for olive garden. i think its okay. we winded up going to a new location. bad idea… we both got so sick… we kept waking up at night to go to the restroom haha. pretty embarressing but you know… lol. but i dont know… i dont think i want italian for a while.

Service was mediocre. Very fast food style service. Usually they are really good here. I am only goving 3 stars instead of 2 because usually service is great. The Cheesticks they just added to he app section were pretty good. Salad was petty, seemed old. My food was tasty like always which is why I keep coming here. I know theres probably better italian restaurants out there but Im mexican so this is my gourmet type of italian.

I just went to dinner with my boyfriends family for a celebration. Jose made us feel like part of the Olive Garden Family! Best service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. He was efficient and left us all very happy.

Last night we took the family out for dinner and enjoyed a great meal. Only had one discrepancy with my order and the manager Greg handled it and personally delivered out my food once it was corrected. It’s all about customer service these days and Olive Garden is on top of their game. I was very impressed with the service.

Actually, in between «A-​OK» and «Fair.» I was surprised at the prices. I lived in New Jersey until six months ago and regularly ate at Olive Gardens there. I’m almost positive the prices (for the same items) are considerably higher here. I had shrimp scampi (six small shrimp over a very modest amount of pasta), which was pretty good, if not anything special. Our server, Haley, was very friendly and pleasant. What made me angry is this: There was an electronic device on the table on which you can play those silly Facebook-​type games while you wait for your meal. My daughter and I did a few and were mildly amused. I was not amused when we got the bill and found there’s a charge for playing! It was only two bucks or so, but we were not aware of it before we played. That seems to me about as crappy, bush-​league, grasping and mean as a big company can get. I can just see them at the corporate office: «Hey, let’s try to get every single solitary penny out of the rubes that we can, so we’ll put these game things on every table and charge them for playing.» Herkimer: «But, boss, won’t they know it’s going to cost them? There’s a little receipt tab on every one.» Boss: «Sure, some will, but lots won’t realize there’s a charge. They’re chatting with each other, glance at this, start playing, and – hey, the staff isn’t told to mention it, so it ain’t our fault they don’t notice.»

Great service and nice attentive staff. So why the two stars? I was throwing up all the food I just ate there. Maybe it was the one bite of salad that tasted a bit funky but I spit it out right away. Anyways, while I love Olive Garden normally, don’t think I’ll be back for a long while.

Love coming here with my co-​workers for lunch. I think we’ve been here like every week this month and even last month. Anyway, service is always good but this last time, it was great! Diana was our server and she was so helpful and charming. Even though she has a few tables, she stayed in contact with us and was very attentive. All of us at the table agreed that she has been our best server so we called the manager. While giving her our feedback, she told us that Diana was a trainer which explained her awesomeness! Finally I see someone lead by example. Definitely will be going back… oh yeah, the food was good lol

Always a great experience whenever I get there with my family and never really had a bad waiter the whole staff is great!
But at times the wait time for food can take a while to be served even though the place would be half empty and not really that busy at all. Also at times the chicken Alfredo pasta would arrive cold in the middle after multiple occasions of going there but not really that big of a deal.
Overall this place is great but if you’re looking for an Italian fix and hungry for it, it’s not that bad.

I was their last night and the food was ok (really nothing to even worth mentioning)

It’s not very common that my fiancé and I go out and have a nice dinner at a restaurant so when we do have an occasion like tonight where we plan to have a nice meal out of the house it makes all the difference in the world to have great customer service. That is exactly what we received this night at Olive Garden in Oxnard California. Nadia was our server this evening she was amazing! She was very welcoming, attentive and most of all very aware of our needs. She was able to anticipate our needs and assist us without being overbearing or obtrusive. Nadia made us feel at home like we were part of the family and for us that means everything!
When I mention that our experience this evening was amazing it is a huge understatement. We were treated great from the moment we walked in. We also had the pleasure of meeting a great gentlemen by the name of Aurelio who was a very kind and attentive server as well. We finished off the evening by meeting Brianna one of the managers here. She told us how much she appreciated our company and thanked us for stopping by, inviting us to come back. Such a great team they have here!
Anyone looking for a great meal and amazing service definitely stop by!

On my «it’s been years» tour I decided to pay Olive Garden a visit.
It was 9pm on a Tuesday night… and I came in with pj’s.purposely because I used to get tired of them asking if I was celebrating a special occasion every time I had been to one. I mean I could have still been.Dr.Seuss day or something but obviously they didn’t ask.
Service was okay, they train their employees to be very Emilio Lopez (Mr. Deeds reference) but I can see through the front. But clearly not the guys fault rather managements. dude was alright. 2.5÷5 Oh half a point up because the hostess was great ³⁄₅
Food–
Salad and bread sticks: Olive Garden salad has an alright taste and the bread has that guilty pleasure liking effect to it. Combined they don’t make for a bad start to a meal for fast food fake italian. 3.5÷5
Tour of Italy: So amazing, definitely felt like I was eating in front of the Colosseum. haha kidding.if authentic italian food is comparable to the colosseum then this here is the legoland version of it, Chicken was unpalatable and the lasagna was a mess. The fettucine was under my standards. ¹⁄₅
Drinks–
Strawberry Mango margarita: Tasted alright. You’re going to get Moe Szyslack quality drinks here obviously. The drink prices make that okay. 2.5÷5
Raspberry lemonade– Quite good, nice signature lemonade they have here. ⁴⁄₅
Overall: I’ve had other plates here and they weren’t as bad as the tour of italy. it feels so moronic to even call it that, anyways. those were okay as in 2.5−3 worthy. it is Olive Garden and you shouldn’t expect this to be Giorgio Baldi. But if you put this head to head vs presto pasta for best fake italian in the area, I’d probably go with presto pasta.

Ok fist off I was craving some late night pasta, and well decided to come eat here. This place is really good, and honestly I have never tried home made pasta but this taste so good that I think this is the closes u could get. Anyways I got the chicken Alfredo and its was delicious, felt like adding some shrimp to it.
The device was great and it never disappoints it’s always on top of its game. Also it’s such a nice environment, it makes u feel really calm and it has a little touch of Italy. This is a perfect place to bring a date and make things romantic cause how fancy the environs is. The food came out right away, about 6 min for our soup and 9 for our appetizers and 12 for our entrée nice time right. Our server also kept us in mind came every 6 min or so, and honestly felt good to know some one has is in mind.
Anyways not everyone has the same opinion but seriously this place never disappoints and I’ve been here enought times to say this place is great. 5 service 5 food!!!

No. Just No. Had dinner here because we got a gift card, well, as a gift lol. But never again. The only saving grace was that our server was super nice and we were seated immediately right after checking in. That and their house salad.
The bread sticks were tough.
Their pasta was over cooked, mooshy bordering on baby food over cooked. The meatballs were sad. It was pale, undercooked and under-​seasoned. Which I think was the recurring theme of the night because their calamari was the same situation as well. Probably the palest blandest calamari, meat ball and pasta I’ve tasted to date.
Won’t be back anytime in the near or distant future. I’d probably go to Maria’s instead.

I try to stay away from corporate establishments, but Olive Garden is one place where I will break the rule for. Growing up, OG was where we ate at least twice a week, so it’s basically tradition.
Today we sat in the bar area in a booth. Our server was Raylene. Raylene was very nice and attentive. She briefly checked up on us every now and then and made sure our needs were met.
The food was amazing today. For starters, we ordered the new wings (yes wings at an Italian restaurant!) these wings were coated in a zangy pepper sauce with fresh garlic, simply delicious! For the entrees it was Seafood Alfredo and Chicken Scampi. It was also happy hour, so our glasses of wine were only $ 5 each-​a steal.
The food was very tasty and out in the perfect amount of time.
We will definitely be back and when we do we hope that Raylene will be our server.

I’ve always felt that Olive Garden was a bit overpriced for its quality. In fact, if it wasn’t for the salad and breadsticks, I’m sure it’d be on that list of places «I use to go» right next to Sizzler, Carrows or Red Lobster.
With that said, I have to say my last visit was a pleasant surprise. For starters, they’ve had a «big menu overhaul.» Apparently I missed the memo on that one but it’s true, google it. As someone who enjoys trying new things, I was immediately drawn to the Spicy Italian Chicken Wings appetizer. The wings weren’t very meaty but they were perfectly crisp, and there were plenty. At first I was hesitant about ordering them so our server offered to bring out the spices they cover the chicken with and a side of the red pepper dipping sauce for me to try. Both were excellent although the red pepper dipping sauce may be a little too spicy for most.
Tip: Ask for a cup of the spices they cover the chicken with and use it as a dipping sauce.
For an entrée I went with the stuffed chicken Marsala with extra sun dried tomatoes and mashed potatoes. Again, this meal was on point. Unlike my prior experiences, not once did I think, «damn, I paid $ 18.25 for this!» My whole family left happy.

Olive Garden has always had excellent service, soup, salad and breadsticks. Now it has a whole new list of menu items to try and my experience was 2 for 2. If it’s been a while since you’ve been, I would encourage you to drop in.
