We weren’t greeted promptly when we first arrived. We waited a few minutes at the front before the hostess came up, helping someone else then left. Another girl came up and said«you haven’t been helped?» I said no, she went and got the first girl. Anyway, that was no big deal but it took a good 5 minutes to put our names on the waiting list. Service was lacking also. My son ordered the kids snow crab and it came without shell crackers. My husband and I’s food came out with my sons, so we patiently waited so he wasn’t eating alone. After 10 minutes the waitress checks on us, and I tell her we still haven’t received the crackers. They finally come out 5 minutes after that. He goes to crack open a shell and realized they didn’t put any melted butter on his plate. So… we ask for melted butter. Takes another 10 minutes to get. My son was starving at this point and my husband and I went ahead and started eating so our food wouldn’t get cold. Food was amazing though. Did they change their key lime pie? It used to be a huge slice to that was shareable. Now it’s much smaller and in a circle shape and barely shareable. Darn!

Delicious food. Very friendly and helpful staff. We came the night before Valentines day and during lobster fest and they got us seated within 15 mins.

Just wanted to thank the manager, Brock for making our last visit special. After a little confusion about our order, he came back to our table three times to make sure everything was OK. He is engaging and works very hard to see that the patrons are happy – a real asset to Red Lobster. Thanks, Brock.

We’ve been only once before in 15 years in the area. It was the same. Looks Way BETTER on tv than actually was. The server was great. The salad was great. But the entrée was SOMEDIOCRE for $ 32. A waste of money. Th e lobster sucked. The stuffing was fishy. The steak was cheap and overlooked. Red Lobster is SOOOOOO overrated. It’s like. Denny’s for seafood! Never again! $ 82 lunch!

From my last visit, a few likes and dislikes: Likes — Quick seating — Fast service — Friendly staff — Good food Dislikes — The waitress took my wife’s full salad before she had a chance to eat it — I ordered a lobster tail with my dinner and the lobster never came out(the waitress offered a dessert to make up for the mistake) — Hidden charges on the menu for options advertised For the price the food ok but not amazing. I suppose this is the reason why I enjoy eating at privately own restaurants rather than food chains.

there are higher end seafood places in the area that we also frequent and there fresh fish entrees may at times be more fancy and better tasting we always find ourselves coming back to Red Lobster in Oxnard(service was poor and numerous mistakes on our order in the Thousand Oaks location) whenever we feel like eating crab legs. Both king or snow crabs are consistently fresh and tasty. Often times at other places the crab legs can be salty and dry but we have never had a batch like that at Red Lobster. I prefer their snow crab to other restaurant’s king crab legs. As long as they are fresh they taste good. I think since it is a regular menu item they have a constant rotating supply of freshly frozen crab legs. Coupled with the cheesy biscuits and reasonable prices it is the reason we keep finding ourselves returning to this location.

First time eating at Red Lobster. Food was really good and our waiter KEVIN was really professional. He provided excellent customer service, recommend good entrees and had a outstanding personality. I was really impressed because good service is rare these days.

I can prepare lobster. I went to be waited on and pampered a little. I got waited on pampered and had great food all at the same time. I would go back. Restaurant was in the process of a remodel and they did a great job of making us comfortable anyway.

Came around 8pm on Wednesday, and we were immediately seated. We were greeted as soon as we sat down, and our server was great. Ordered The Ultimate Feast and it was delicious. The ticket time was only about 15 minutes, which seemed perfect considering that there was nobody really there at restaurant. He was on top of our water refills and beer refills as well. He recommended that we got a Margarita double, which came in a bigger glass for only 2 more dollars. Of course we agreed and it was a reasonable size. Didn’t seem like a double tho. Seemed like just a single, large Margarita.

Ok well first off this is my fist time being here and we’ll fist thing I notice was the dark gloomy environment which feels really comfortable, and compare to a lot of other restaurants it’s a quiet place. I start off with endless shrimp, but I first devour my Cesar salad which came with garlic bread. The bread was warm and soft which taste really good. My salad was pretty good too, the lettuce was well dressed, however it had a little to much grated cheese, which I’m surprise that we don’t get to pick how much we want. The endless shrimp was pretty good the unlimited shrimp Alfredo is were u want go too cause it’s bomb. But anyways u can mix and match five different shrimp which is awesome. In the end the food was ok and my service was awesome all thanks to my server Ernest. And for my first time here it went pretty well… Just wish I had something that I would want to come back too, Maine I just didn’t try the right thing. Since it’s my fist time here I’m only rating it 3 stars. But might change my review next time I come.

I arrived pretty late(930p) and there were about four other parties being served. The service was pretty quick. The Caesar salad was Good… HOWEVER… The Rock lobster seems to be getting smaller each time I order it. The first time it came out, it was partially cooked(2/3rds Raw). I had them take it back. They made another. This one was over cooked. I kept this one because I was too hungry to send it back. It took all of my 2 servings of drawn butter to make it edible. The half pound cluster of snow crab legs was the smallest cluster of crab I’ve seen. less than an appetizer. When I was done, I still felt hungry. Even after eating the salad and 2 cheesy biscuits. I wont be returning to this Red Lobster. This wasn’t worth the $ 47.28 that I was charged. Sorry Red lobster. I’m usually not dissatisfied with red lobsters food quality or quantity. This one let me down… oh yeah… The young man who brought the food out was wearing a dingy black undershirt/t-shirt and it appeared as though he just got finished washing dishes. I would expect for this caliber of restaurant, the waitresses and or managers would be bringing the food out, not the bus boy. Try harder Oxnard Red Lobster!

I had dinner here last night with a girlfriend who’d recommended it because they were having a special on crab. She got some sort of combo-feast and I got more crab than I knew what to do with. My crab was sweet, buttery(some of it actually already dripping with butter) and extremely flavorful and succulent. Simply fantastic crab. So much of it that I could barely finish it all and had no room to eat my corn and potatoes that had been hiding underneath. That was a good thing as I’d asked for my veggies to be served plain without any seasoning and they came with standard seasoning, which didn’t suit my tastes so minus a star for that part of my order being wrong(and for needing another napkin and asking for one and being told it would show up and then it never showing up). Other than that, my server was fantastic and checked on us frequently. My drink was refilled often and we were offered boxes when we couldn’t finish everything. At one point a manager checked in on us too. I would come here again, but I’d try to order less food. I practically had to roll myself out of the restaurant at the end of the night. Phew!

Horrible service, we ended up sitting in the bar section the bartender/waitress was rude and gave additiude also took long to get our drinks. After we ordered it was around 30 min to get our food which ended up coming with a sticker on one of the fish filets! Sent it back and got a new one they did comp the meal but would not return to eat here again.

Went there tonight for mothers day we had a party of 8 was told wait was about 1 hour… waited only 20 minutes and was seated… the restaurant was packed with people. after being seated waited about 10 minutes to be asked for drinks. placed order and waited was accidentally served next table over salads. we then received complementary bread… and got our food it was a little unorganized with food orders due to crowd I believe. food was good could have more of a selection on the menu. i will be giving them another chance.

My husband and I rarely go out to eat, but we made plans to eat at Red Lobster so we could use a gift card we’d been given. Since we were going on a Friday night, I called ahead to make a reservation. I was told they take reservations for parties of 8 or more, but the hostess was kind enough to put our names on a list for the time we were planning to come in. It wasn’t a reservation, but the way she explained it, if there is a line when we arrive, we get called to a table first because we called ahead. Sure enough, there were two other parties waiting to be seated when we arrived. I let the hostess know that my name had been put on a list earlier, and we were seated immediately. Not being huge fans of seafood, we went with our usual fish and chips. We were expecting Denny’s/Carrows quality fish and chips, which is usually about two small fillets of some cheap, spongy-tasting fish with fries, but were pleasantly surprised when Justin, our server, asked us what kind of salad we would like. Justin brought over our drinks, biscuits, and salads to tide us over while we waited for our entrees. We were surprised at the sheer size of the battered fish on our plates. Instead of a couple pieces of crappy fish, we got a huge, quality fish filet that tasted much better, and with a texture much heartier than something out of a freezer. However, the tartar sauce served with our meals wasn’t that great, more like mayonnaise with onion powder mixed in, so we stuck with ketchup for the remainder of our meal. By the time we were finished with our food, we were in a great mood, and even got dessert to go. We each had a slice of carrot cake, and although it was good, I don’t think I could justify spending $ 6.49 per slice again. Overall, we enjoyed the food, and the customer service was great – not only for us, but for the people around us. We could hear the employees talking to other customers, and the atmosphere seemed very… jovial. We could tell the employees were busy, but they were all working together to clean tables as soon as possible and deliver food piping hot. Not only did Justin come check on us frequently, but another server took the time to check on us a few times as well, which we really appreciated(I just wish I’d caught his name.) The restaurant lighting was a bit dark for my taste, but it’s not something I would consider a deal-breaker. My husband and I had a great time, and we got to enjoy a wonderful meal together. For the quality of food and service we received, I think we got a great deal for the price we paid.

Brought my SUPER-Special date here last night. We were worried about potential Easter crowds, but we pleased to be able to be seated immediately. We got a lovely booth near the Bar area. It was so comfortable it was amazing. The lighting at each seat was properly subtle, but the center of the table was lit brighter so you could see what you needed, without any glare in your face. And best of all — no blaring music — a lovely romantic spot. Thank you, THANKYOU for the peace and quiet!(There are TVs, but fairly non intrusive.) We shared appetizers of Fried Clams Strips and Lobster-Crab-and-Seafood– Stuffed Mushrooms. Just for fun, had to have the clam chowder as well. We didn’t see the fried clams on the menu, but ask and ye shall receive! They came with a red cocktail sauce which was tasty. We also asked for some Ranch(hey, some like red, some like white) and our waiter, Matthew D., brought that as well as tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was the best ever! We were trying to figure what’s in it. And Matt is a fabulous server, he really knows how to be attentive and respectful. Not sure if they forgot to bring some of those scrumptious rolls or it’s a menu item, but again, we asked and they were promptly presented. For the main dish, we split the Lobster Lover’s Dream(roasted rock lobster tail, Maine lobster tail & lobster-and-shrimp linguini Alfredo). Oh man, what a fabulous meal — we had to take some home! And the Mango Lemonade was so good, we ordered a second one. It was such a nice experience, we had to say Thanks to manager Paul P. for running a great operation. And the food was such a taste treat it was almost overwhelming. I think I gained a pound. Can’t wait to go back…
