zero stars but have to tap on 1in order to make a review. People keep your wallets close to you and little if not NO cash at all on you. 2 occasions where friends have left their purse behind and within minutes it is mysteriously gone! The first time my friend left her purse in the basket of the shopping cart. She put cart back in store and went her merry way and within minutes she realized her purse was left behind. She returned to the store asked security but nothing recovered. The second occasion my friend was shopping in the produce dept. She went to pay, realized her tiny purse was gone. within minutes she went to the produce section and it was not there. The workers se habla blah blah so they were of no help. Very frustrating. Don’t shop here shady people all around, from the workers to the security shame on you superior!

Not worth it — and I have given the store multiple chances. So I am one of those people that looks at the weekly flyers and plans on which store to purchase veggies or fruits and meats. The sale prices at Superior cannot be beat — so many times I have gone there to buy the items. However it never fails, the fruit and veggies are always rotten and flavorless. Granted, I am willing to bet that all the markets in the area are purchasing the fruit and vegetables from the same farms/fields. But I don’t know how Superior is trucking or storing their items — because you name it… everything is rotten when you cut them, or does rot within a day of purchase… or has no flavor. There are so many other Mexican groceries in the area, it is better to save your money and shop somewhere else if you are looking for anything fresh. BTW even the deli foods which include salsas and guac’s don’t taste any good.

Decent, but could be better. It does seem to cater to a Hispanic market, however, it being owned by non-latins, it seems to be missing something. Their chicharrones damn near made me throw up. Too fatty. too undercooked.

This is a typical Mexican Grocery store with a good selection of products. I was looking for a few unusual cuts of meat and this grocery store had a couple of the ones on my list. I couldn’t find anyone else in town that carried organ meat like kidneys or hearts. This store had beef kidneys and I was also able to pick up a big pack of chicken gizzards. The staff was friendly and polite, especially when I walked in through the exit and couldn’t find a way to walk into the main part of the store. Make sure you enter through the formal entrance doors.

This market is a typical Latino market. You’ll find most ingredients to cook up a batch of tacos or whatever. I thought they didn’t supply grocery bags but they do. To improve the environment, bring your own bags.

No stars at all! Only gave one because there isn’t a choice” …Cashiers are very rude with us the customers and their management is horrible. Very rude and unprofessional. Prices are good but the only bad thing are the cashiers!!! It seems like they just wanna get payed and don’t have any manners at all. They always have a bad attitude towards us and seem like they don’t want to be there at all! I placed a complaint on their web page but haven’t heard of them in months! Shows how much superior grocers care about their feed back and reputation!!! They just want out money. Will definitely stop grocerie shopping there!

Three stars. That’s so middle of the road, so average rating, so not good not bad, so switzerland. Well in this case it fits. This store is a warehouse type grocer with an emphasis on Mexican products(demographics). A «Mexicatessen» which sells prepared hot foods like carnitas, chicharones, rice. All the usual suspects. The cold case offers Mexican cheeses, salsas & sour creams. I haven’t tried any because I can make that at home any day, all day. I do like to purchase pan dulce(Mexican sweet bread) from the in house bakery. The assortment is small but tasty. Not to dry & not to sweet but the top shelf is reserved for the ultra über sweet types. Each are 60 cents a piece. The produce section is hit or miss. You walk in one day & everything is so fresh & shiny, so appealing & other days there is a smell of rotting fruit in the air & flies buzzing about but anyone of those days you will have really great low prices. I just bought four cucumbers for $ 1.00& seven avocados for $ 1.00. Also offered is a butcher counter with beef, poultry, pork & seafood. I never buy from the counter because everything just looks off. I do however buy a lot of chicken from the packaged meats section. for about $ 5.00 +/-a package of 10 drumsticks. All big & meaty, fresh pieces. I separate them into appropriate portions when home & freeze. I make caldo de pollo(Mexican chicken stew), rotisserie drumsticks etc etc. The point is from one package I can make two or three meals for only about 5 bucks. The rest of the store offers the usual bread aisle, cereal aisle etc etc, Not much variety though. The emphasis here is the produce & prepared foods sections.

Came here on a week night for the first time and was impressed by how much they had changed from the previous store that was there. I remember that the Lucky and Albertsons had a lot more packed into the store than what Superior Grocers has. Their prices are about the same as what Lucky had and have more of a Mexican feel to it. They have a Mexican bakery and pre-made food. I didn’t go to the meat counter but I saw a lot of people there and the prices seemed fair.
