My wife and I visited this business on a Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. They were very busy but we were still seated immediately. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, the service is exceptional… Beverages and food were delivered very quickly. My wife had the pancakes with hashbrowns… I had the eggs Benedict and an order of biscuits and gravy. All tasted very delicious and we were very satisfied. We will definitely be back.

This place was so accommodating for me and my family. We randomly decided to head out to Santa Barbara for the day… all SIXTEEN of us. And on our way there we got hungry and stumbled upon this place. I called to let them know a swarm of us were coming and they were so quick to give us a section of the restaurant. The food was great. The service was even better. My coffee cup was never empty. Such a great place when traveling through Oxnard! Would definitely suggest this place and will definitely be returning.

We come here quite often, it’s a great place for breakfast. I always get their chilaquiles Rojos! Staff is also very nice! The place gets busy on weekends, but the food is worth it. Service is also great and prices are decent!

Great customer service! Delicious food! Have been going to TBB after it changed its name(from Uncle Herb’s), so for a few years now. The pancakes are always so soft and tasty, bacon nice and crispy, coffee always there when you’re running out and a waiter/waitress when you need something. Recently, we were very satisfied with our waiter ALVARO and the service he provided. He was attentive but just the right amount, respectful, helpful and polite. Definitely recommend this. No wonder Charlie Hunnam stopped here!;)

Definitely lives up to its name. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but you will definitely leave satisfied! Not only that but their coffee is delicious! I hate having a bad cup of coffee with my breakfast. I am NEVER dissatisfied with this place. It’s always amazing!

Good food we went for breakfast one day and I loved the Huevos Rancheros. Husband had country fried something and liked his meal also. Good friendly service, they were packed and the waiter was very attentive considering how busy he was.

Great food, bad service. The short Hispanic chic was rude and as fake as her eyelashes. She kept rolling her eyes at us and kept leaving when a question was asked. The place wasn’t even busy. She never came to ask how we were, just picked up our plates and left. Same thing when she took our check. She seemed tp be EXTRA friendly to non-hispanics, eveb though she’s one of us!!! I’d suggest getting another job if you don’t like waiting on people… huevos rancheros were delicious and their potatoes were good too. Would have giving a 5 if it wasn’t for her.

Uncle Herb’s used to be the go-to place for my family and I after Sunday Mass; however, ever since it switched ownership a few years ago, I hadn’t been able to stop in until recently. My family and I came in around 8am on Sunday. We were seated quickly, given our drinks in a flash, and our orders came out in no time. The service was definitely 5 stars! There was always someone checking in on us and making sure our drinks were topped off. The reason for the low rating, food was not up to par with Uncle Herbs. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and it was over seasoned. I was caught off guard with my first bite. The hash browns were also disappointing. They were STALE as if they had been out for hours. Ate one bite, I didn’t mess with it again. I had a bite of my mom’s Pork Chops and they too were salty. I also tried my sister’s customized omelette was bland. My dad didn’t say anything about his Del Chef omelette so that means he didn’t care for it. I probably won’t be back as there’s other breakfast places around the area. A little disappointing they couldn’t live up to Uncle Herb’s!

Looking for a proper breakfast in Ventura can be a challenge if your not into playing the waiting game. Driving by Café Nouveau this morning was amusing. Only twenty or thirty people all waiting on the side walk. We waited for ten or fifteen minutes at the Galloping Hen and bailed out. To Oxnard! The Best Breakfast Café stood up to it’s name. Busy, but no wait! The eggs benedict were some of the best I’ve had. Eggs pouched perfectly, hollandaise made from scratch. Big thumbs up. Hash browns were good. Side of sausage also good. The Queen of Reseda got the turkey club. They roast their own turkey. Good stuff. Service with a smile. Everyone from this restaurant was friendly and up beat. My coffee was never close to being empty. I’m all hopped up on caffeine as a write this review. I’m jittery and shaking man. The Best Breakfast Café might be a little out of the way if your in Ventura, but it was so worth the drive. Breakfast accomplished!

Really good place to visit. The staff are awesome and super friendly. The breakfast was awesome. My wife ordered the Chili Verde and she loves it. It has just the right amount of kick to it to make you want more. I was a little boring this time. I just got the hamburger patty and eggs which was very tasty!!! We will diffidently return again.

The food was pretty good. Just like any other diner. One thing that did bother me was they are very quick to charge for substitutions. Usually there is a surcharge of $ 1 – 2 but here it’s $ 5. Not going back for all the extra fees

You can come across some amazing hidden treasures when you are traveling through an unfamiliar area. This happens to me frequently, as I spend considerable time on the road… more often than I like, but finding places like the Best Breakfast Café makes the road so much more tolerable. So, this past Tuesday, as I was making my way to the West L.A. Veterans Center, from my home in Nipomo, I ran into the typical southbound traffic stoppage mistakenly referred to as «morning rush hour» on the southbound CA101, as I came into Oxnard… this was predictable. «Road Plan B» was initiated, and I got off the freeway, intending to use the surface streets to catch Hwy. 1 south along the Malibu Coast. As I was going down Saviers at Pleasant Valley, thinking about breakfast, what to my wandering hungry eyes see but the huge letters on the side of a small diner spelling out«Best Breakfast»…I had to stop to see if they were lying. They weren’t. The service was great, and the simple bacon and eggs I ordered was substantial…4 large, thick pieces of crispy bacon, potatoes O’Brien, loaded with peppers and onions, eggs perfectly done, toast… about 9 bucks… EXCELLENT! I have this place loaded into my phone now, as I come down this way often.

Today I ordered the lemon chicken and avocado sandwich with fries for lunch. I called in the order and it was ready within the quoted time. The young lady at the register was very nice and attentive. The sandwich itself had the best toast on it of any sandwich I’ve ever had! It was the perfect bread! I would eat that bread again in a heart beat! My only issue with the sandwich was the mushrooms, they feel out of a can to me. I love mushrooms and the combinations in this sandwich seem to work but what would make it a slam dunk for me would be fresh mushrooms. Please use fresh mushrooms. Those things out of a can, well they are just not good. Can’t wait to try another sandwich! The bread, I repeat, was amazing!

Very busy location and I see why. The employees are friendly and very attentive. Although they have a full house, they were quick to getting us seated. They passed by every now and then to offer me a full cup of coffee. Why yes please! Keep it coming. The food was just right, and served in a good amount of time. Every restaurant should get on this vibe and environment level . Thanks to «The Best Breakfast» I had a good morning. Stop by guys, and check it out for yourselves. :)

I loved this little Restaurant! Customer service was awesome and even though there was a line we just waited for 10 –15 minutes for our breakfast. From the hostess to the waitress all the staff were friendly and smiley. I ordered the Green Chilaquiles and they were YUMMY! The boyfriend order green tomatillo pork chops, he said they were awesome!!! For dessert we tried the chocolate chip pancakes and the strawberry pancakes, both DELICIOUS. Definitely we’ll be coming back next time I go to Oxnard

We have been here twice now, and it does not disappoint! No matter what you order, it’s going to be amazing. Service is fantastic, chili verde is spicy and delicious. Coffee is non-stop flowing. I can’t even think of words to describe how much we love this place.
