This place is different stars for different things. First, it is 5 stars for the entrees and appetizers. We had the Pine Island oysters, red snapper, and flounder. All 3 were great and we really enjoyed every part of it. It is 3 stars for the dessert. We had the peach crisp and it was way too sweet for my taste. It is only 1 star for the service. The service started off great they were friendly and kept our water glasses full without asking but then it just deteriorated rapidly. We were the only table eating at the time but another table showed up and got a basket of bread before even ordering. We never got bread and did not know they served it. We asked our server and he replied«Oh I didn’t know you wanted bread» and brought out the bread without an apology. He never gave us clean plates to eat the bread on we had to use the bread basket as a plate. After that, our water glasses were refilled very slowly despite the restaurant still being empty. Two more tables showed up and they were immediately given bread. We felt insulted. We dressed nice and ordered appetizers so why give us different treatment? If you do want dessert, there is a homemade ice cream parlor literally across the street from them. Finally, parking is street parking only and for a small town those streets fill up fast. Good luck finding a spot!

Recently took my mother here for dinner and let’s just say I was expecting more flavorful food than what I had. Ordered the Duck and the champagne & Dijon glazed salmon along with Cajun Mac and cheese. Was not pleased.

First time and not disappointed. Food fresh and tasty, not the usual run of the mill, however would like to have more options for vegetarians so that we can return.

Our first time, and definitely coming again. My partner and I were looking for a classy, relaxed, more on the private setting and we were not disappointed. I’d call the place cozy rather than cramped, with wonderful, soft lighting. The food was mouth watering. Nothing you order will disappoint, and it’s on the inexpensive side. Definitely coming here as often as we can.

The best just keep getting better! This is still our family favorite restaurant on Long Island for a nice, upscale, cozy, delicious meal, with fantastic service, consistently tasty and fresh food, classy yet not stuffy ambiance, fantastic wine list with reasonable prices. Keep up the great work!

If you are looking for a WIN in the restaurant department, Wild Honey never disappoints. Warm cozy atmosphere, delicious flavors and cocktails, attentive staff. Highly recommend: Beef Wellington appetizer, Goat Cheese Ravioli appetizer, and the Slow Roasted Boneless Short Ribs! My go-to place for a date night, girls-night out and anything in between.

Had lunch here today. Our first visit. Liked the décor. Huge vibrant paintings, brick walled backdrop, casual, quaintly classy. I had two of the lunch specials: the pear/arugula salad to start, delicious. For my main, I had the wild flounder served on top of mashed potatoes and haricot vert. Frankly, i would have preferred to have kept each separate. Together, the three became soggy, laden down with the accompanying cream sauce. Ended with a peach and ice cream dessert. The added brown sugar made it too sweet for my taste. Oh well.

The calamari appetizer was yummy, crispy and flavorful. It had some kind of barbecue sauce sweetness on it. The beet salad with goat cheese was also surprisingly good. Looked like a cake. I ordered the pan seared wild flounder entrée. It was on a bed of mashed potatoes. Perfectly browned fish. The mashed potatoes provided for a good contrast of texture. R got the pork shank, huge portion of meat and rice. Very tender meat. Dessert was the Venezuelan chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream. Warm and to die for.

Innovative dishes with delicious flavors, Wild Honey is one place not to be missed. The restaurant is small and cozy, dimly lit with brick walls and candle lighting. It sets the mood nicely for an intimate dining experience. The food is the star though. The pork shank appetizer is incredible. Tender meat marinated beautifully and topped with a light salsa. The Thai calamari was also tasty(but the pork shank was the best). For entrée I got the double cut pork chop which was a meaty piece of pork, cooked medium rare. It had good flavor but was overshadowed by the side of maple bacon cornbread which sat right next to it. I could eat a whole plate of just that! Truly a memorable dining experience and I highly recommend.

I ate lunch at Wild Honey a few days ago. I’ll make this short and sweet: 1. The food was good. I had clam chowder(great), oysters(great) and the spicy Thai prawn dish(so-so, only 4 shrimp and 0 spice) 2. I sat at the bar and was buzzed with flies the entire meal. 3. Used the restroom and wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness. Nothing disgusting, just dark and outdated. 4. The service was pleasant, which is always a plus. I get this place is over 100 years old. The building is cool and I liked the area. That doesn’t mean that you need to swat flies and relieve yourself in a dark, cramped restroom. Bye, Felicia.

Been eating here for years, and finally made time to review. Where to begin? Oh yeah-Suzie for your waitress, Bobs’ cosmo-best ever(the only place I drink them) now mussels in iron skillet, special-of-the day salad, any fish dish, filet or amazing pork chops. Only main dish I ever had here that wasn’t wonderful was short ribs. Daily specials are usually the way to go. We’re not dessert eaters, so can’t comment. Staff is lovely, not fussy, don’t care if you make substitutions, just laugh it off! Come here to relax and enjoy-LOVE this place.

Last Saturday night was a beautiful night and a good time to spend some quality time eating at Wild Honey in Oyster Bay. We had rezzy and waited a short while and then were seated by a very affable manager. We were greeted by our great server Dina, who started us out with Drinks and Appys. Bonnie G. and I split a Bleu Cheese Lettuce Wedge and an order of Thai Calamari… both nicely presented and delicious. The din in the restaurant was deafening and very hard to have a conversation across the table. Thats both a good thing and a bad thing depending who you are dining with. We strained to pass along sweet nothings across the table, but bottom line this place is funky and although you cant hear it, has good music playing on the speakers. For Mains we ordered the special Duck Breast in what they called a «jerk Sauce». A misnomer as it tasted like diluted bbq sauce with no bite, burn or even significant taste. The duck was really prepared to order and we enjoyed it. BG had a wonderful dish Spicy Sesame Grilled Shrimp on Sticky Rice with tasty hoisen/soy glaze sauce on the side. We noticed another nice dish passing by; Double Cut Berkshire Pork Chop… next time! All in all we had a great time and as the crowds dispersed around 10pm we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and ability to have a conversation.

WOW! Sat immediately, welcomed warmly, given fresh lemon water, and we were delighted. The food selections were excellent. There is outdoor seating and indoors seating. indoors is romantic and out of doors is good for a little more casual setting. You pay for what yu get and this place is great! Will be back

I stopped by here on my way from Long Island to Manhattan. What a gem. We came in as a group, 20 minutes before the restaurant was open, and the hostess invited us in for a drink, which was nice since they were still setting up. She could have asked us to wait outside. Within a few minutes they said that the kitchen was ready for us. The server was extremely proper and professional, which isn’t what you’d expect from a place that is in the $ 20-$ 30 range. Our appetizers were good, entrees were good, service was great. They even split out entrees for us to share as requested, and plated them separately, rather than just handing us a plate for us to do ourselves.

Oh how I love this place!!! Happened upon it by chance and am so glad I did. I love the décor and vibe, kind of upscale relaxed. The employees seem happy and friendly to their guests and amongst themselves, seems like a family. Loved that. The food is really good, fresh, imaginative menu, nice size servings for small plates, and good prices. Started out with a French martini, hey it’s brunch!!:) it was yummy! We tried the Asian pulled pork timbale, beautiful presentation and very flavorful. Also got the lobster & crab meatballs. The mussels were good, I have to say I’ve never tried them before, hey living on LI seeing them on the beach… let me not go there. I liked these, salty & buttery little morsels, who knew??? Ended with mini beef wellingtons. All good!!! They have a prix fixe menu that looks really good, I must go back!!!

We have been here a couple of times now, and the food has been consistent. This trip we got lobster/crab«meatballs,» blackened catfish, ribs and banana bread pudding for dessert. The meatballs are kind of like small crabcakes with less filler, and they were pretty good. The lobster does get somewhat lost in there but the sauce is fantastic(especially on your bread after the rest is gone!) the blackened catfish had a nice flavor, but the dirty rice was really where it’s at. Cooked perfectly, balanced flavors, I was very happy with it and would eat it on it’s own for days. The ribs were pretty good as well, although not THE best ribs, they were the best ribs we’ve had in awhile around here and their homemade sauce was delicious. The banana bread pudding was a nice way to end it, but I think we preferred the cappuccino Heath pie from our previous visit more :). The ambiance in here is casual, but still nice. We have seen groups of friends, young families and couples young and old here. The price is a bit high, but fine for the quality and portions of the entrees. Last time our server wasn’t the best, it was clear this place has a lot of regulars and that particular server preferred to be with them. Absolutely you have to take care of your regulars, but the only way to get more of those is to deal with new people. We still got our food and stuff but our interaction with that server was lackluster. This time, however, Joe was perfect. He had a great attitude, was unbelievably welcoming and we really enjoyed our time 10x more just because of him! Joe alone brought this teetering between 3 and 3.5 stars to the 4 star zone and we’ll be heading back.

Completely taken by surprise at how good this place was. I’m still a newb to the restaurant scene in LI and being used to the amazing restaurants in the city, I was a little skeptical. I’m so glad I was proven wrong. The restaurant is on a main street in a bustling little downtown area in Oyster Bay. Apparently they have a second location in my new town, sweet! Ambiance was very romantic, a bit too dark but still inviting. Started the evening with a round of delicious drinks, they even had my favorite liquer so the evening was off to a VERY good start. Ordered a dozen fresh oysters, a delicious roasted beets and shaved brussels sprouts salad, the crab and lobster meatballs. All delicious and beautifully presented. Main entrees were a generously portioned sea scallops over risotto special, and 2 orders of their Seafood hotpot. The hotpot was a bit salty for me but still the presentation and the tenderness of the seafood was spot on. Finished the evening with a round a flourless chocolate cake, a mix berry crisp and the warm banana bread pudding. All very well made and delicious. I seriously had little to no complaints about this place. Our server was lovely and accommodating, kept our water glasses full and checked up on us without being overbearing. Looking forward to trying out their other location and reporting back!

Living in the area, I’ve been past Wild Honey over 100 times and I couldn’t be happier that I finally stopped in for a meal. From the outside, the place looks large, but it’s actually pretty cozy when you get inside. The dress code isn’t quite jacket attire, but I would go at least biz casual here as the regular clientele is all snazzy. For our meal we rocked the pan Seared Wild Atlantic Cod(with cranberry rice pilaf/sautéed zucchini, $ 26), beach house salad($ 10), oven roasted french cut chicken(with mashed potatoes/garlic spinach, $ 19). The cod was a daily special and was dope! Crunchy on the outside and not fishy at all. The rice was hit or miss, but the fish was so good it didn’t matter. My date loved the chicken and ate the entire thing without letting me try it. I know, total red flag, but the takeaway here is that the chicken was just that good. The salad was average, but aren’t all house salads? Our server was great and if not so full, we def would’ve hit up the dessert menu(there was something with Oreo crust that I need). Overall, a great meal and I’m looking forward to a return visit. Protip: make a rezzie, especially on weekends.
