I love El Charro! The food is always fresh, the service top notch and a $ 2.99 Margarita that my husband and I affectionately call ‘The Shoe Polish Margarita’! It does the job! I always order the Enchilada con camarones with verde sauce(off menu and great!) that tacos are great. My husband loves the Cancun Burrito with shrimp and pineapple, huge and good he says. Give them a try!

We dropped in here at 5pm on a Monday and there were only two other people in the building. The place was dead. We were seated promptly and then our waiter disappeared for a good 15 minutes before taking our order. He was definitely not a people person and didn’t make us feel welcome whatsoever so that made for an unpleasant experience from the get go. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. The food comes out after another unexpectedly long wait and it was nothing more than tasteless. I had the pollo loco and was quite confused of the massive pile of cold, raw green peppers and onions on the plate along with what tasted like completely(not exaggerating) unseasoned chicken. I think I can sometimes be a little tougher food critic than my husband, so I offered him a bite to make sure my taste buds were still working and sure enough, he was like WTF? I took about 3 bites before i was too disappointed to finish eating. The other big complaint, FLYS. They were SO bad! I completely understand there’s only so much you can do about them, but the second we sat down we had 6 – 7 of them buzzing around our food the entire time. We were swatting them away before, during and after every bite. We typically eat at the Primas Mexican down the street if we eat in Ozark and we thought that we’d give this one a go instead, but unfortunately we won’t be back to this restaurant.
