Thai Xpress and Sushi

Four stars is a solid average for this restaurant. It is well priced and the sushi/​Thai food is great! I always get the drunk noodles with chicken and the spicy tuna roll! Also it should be mentioned that the soup is free! It’s a pretty basic chicken broth, rice and white meat chicken soup but it makes for a great appetizer. The ONLY reason I can’t give it five stars is because there is consistently only one employee our front. The food always comes out quick but you might find yourself waiting for a ticket/​refill a couple of minutes if it is super busy. I know a ton of friends and family that love this restaurant and I love it as well! Also a great place for people driving towards Branson to stop in and it’s on the same exit as lambert a café, plus there is never a wait!

I’m from Thailand and I had to say that this place didn’t do our food justice… Not even close (which makes me really sad.) I found out that the owner bought a franchise from the Springfield Thai express and they are supposed to use the same recipe. My friend ordered Pad Thai it wasn’t bad. I ordered spicy fried rice and it didn’t taste like the one in springfield at all. The key ingredient which is Basil was missing (I wish they had told me if they had ran out I would have ordered something else) The good thing about this place is the prices and free rice soup. $ 12.02. That got me made-​to-​order sushi and Chicken Pad Thai, plus a wonderful dining experience. Process that for just a hot second: That price included attentive staff, excellent prep and presentation. What just happened Missouri?
I will always stop in this town for the sole reason of eating some of the best Thai food and pricing I’ve had in my short time on this earth. Under fifteen dollars pinch me and thank you.

This is our «go-​to» Asian place in Ozark.
1. Food — The food is always cooked when ordered, which means it is fresh and delicious. No plates ever sit under a warming light. I frequently but the Tiger Tear, Green Curry, and sushi. In the past 6 months, I have eaten here an average of once a week and never been disappointed.
2. Service — Service is super fast and friendly. Always greeted with a smile and take care of my table.
3. Cost — a family of 4 can each get a small appetizer and main dish, and spend approximately $ 10/​person. You can’t even buy fast food at that price anymore.
4. Carryout — I sometimes call in orders and they are usually ready in 15 minutes or less. Super super fast.

Completely awful. I stopped in based on the reviews on here. The first thing I see is an empty soda cooler. The place looks slapped together. No doors separating the bar area from the kitchen, just sheet/​curtains.
I ordered the chicken paid thai, planning to eat it there. I guess when I asked for a coke the guy thought I said to go. 20 – 25 minutes later I got it in a to go container. Why it took that long? I don’t know.
Got it home, and this is simply the poorest excuse for pad thai ever. The noodles were dry, there was very little sauce. No vegetables in it and skimpy on the chicken. Flavor was practically non-​existent with no spice at all.
I can’t even believe I paid money for this! Never again!

One of my favorite places! Absolute love the peanut chicken! I have yet to be even slightly disappointed with the food. Service is not always the greatest, the usually have one or two girls trying to take care of the entire seated area, so service can be a bit slow. Prices are more than reasonable. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

My wife and I love this place! We live close by and go here often. Prices are decent and the food is great. The only thing I don’t like is their breaded chicken. It is a little stringy. Everything else we have had their is awesome! I highly recommend it. The Thai iced tea is refreshing and cuts the spicy flavor of the main course. The Crab Rangoon is delicious.

I love sushi, so when my usual place here wasn’t open I thought I would try something different. Came here and was very unhappy. The place was empty, which I didn’t think anything about because it was afternoon. The two guys behind the counter were not very accommodating. I wanted to look at the menu for a second because I had never been there before. But the guy made me very uncomfortable staring at me waiting for me to order. I placed my order and specifically told him I wanted Eel Sauce and was charged for it. When I got my order 30 minutes later…(I only ordered 2 rolls) I came home to find I didn’t get any eel sauce. I was charged a dollar for it. That’s not a huge deal but if I am charged for something you’d think they would take the time to put it in the bag.
I won’t be going back anytime soon. There are other sushi places in and around Ozark that have better service and get the order right.

Disappointed.. We used to be regulars here but since they have hired a new girl who sits and flirts with her boyfriend between complaining to customers about her job we won’t be going back. 45 minutes waiting for food that never arrived and a smug attitude from our waitress.

Quietly discombobulated. Eerily subdued. Service was spotty but delivered with a smile. Bit of a language barrier. Very limited drink selection. Food was better than one might expect — special sushi rolls were smothered in sauces but still overall tasty. Hawaiian fried rice was pleasant. Red curry wasn’t as spicy as billed and fresh tasting. Special Burmese chicken soup is worth a try. Bathroom was clean.

Would not have tried this place by the façade but thanks to Unilocal we did. It was very good and inexpensive. We ordered potstickers, sushi, and curry and magic noodles all for $ 20.62. It was delicious and we will be back.

I thought the hot sour soup was great and fried rice and spring rolls delicious ! Very friendly and clean. Will definitely go back soon.

Complimentary soup is very good, especially with a little sriracha in it. Food is really good, and the flavors are a nice variation on the normal generic Asian (Chinese) cuisine.
All the flavor of the Springfield location, with a much nicer atmosphere.

When we seen the «express» in the name and the prices, we figured it would be a «order at the counter, get your food on styrofoam kind of place». But to our surprise, we were seated and waited on. Food came on real plates and silverware. The service was very good, the food great, very reasonable. We’ll be back!

I was headed into Springfield and needed to stop for lunch. Saw this place on Unilocal and decided to swing in after the good reviews. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a medium order of the green curried chicken. Outstanding! Hot curry dish and an ample portion of sushi for $ 12.
I plan on stopping in here again on my next visit.

Love this place! It’s a gem in Ozark. True Thai cuisine prepared with expertise.
The curry is my favorite with lots of bamboo and medium heat. Next is the drunk driver with a sweet brown sauce. The crab rangoon is awesome

Incredible place to eat, fresh, tasty… and very in expensive!

We decided to try this place for lunch. I almost left when we Wales I’m at 12:20 and the place was bare but I am so glad we didn’t. Everything we had was amazing. The spring rolls and crab Rangoon was excellent. And everything was so fresh. It is definitely my new favorite place.

Awesome Thai food! Super prices, and good service. I visit this place once a week and can’t wait for my next visit.
