Of all the Flea/Antique Shops in Ozark(and there are a lot of them!) This one stands apart. The front space has a lot of nooks and crannies while the back is a little more open, but everything is carefully curated, with a nice mix of used and new items. The entire space is very clean and easy to browse. You don’t get sensory overload like you do in the more common stall setup of the average flea/antique store. As someone who is domestically challenged, I also appreciated that much of the furniture is arranged in nice tableaus, so if you need to fill a room in your house, you can just buy the whole set and call it done. Avant Garden also sells a line of all-natural furniture paints and hosts classes to help you learn how to use them to achieve different effects for your own furniture reclamation adventures. I’m already plotting a future trip with husband in tow!

Is this the best name or what! You might have to be an arts lover to get the reference. My mom and I were out antiquing in Ozark, and I knew when I saw it on the map that clever people must own this shop — we had to go in to look around. It’s a bit of a «girly» shop, but not one of those so drenched in pink that you want to gag. The first thing I noticed were the fun mannequins! There was a cow silhouette outside, and a mannequin in a canoe on the porch; inside lady figures modeled jewelry, added sparkle to a room, and even dressed up a large, hanging cornucopia! This place is a large boutique with home goods and furniture items; as you browse along, you’ll keep finding more rooms — it’s much more than you’d think from looking outside! It’d be a great place to brainstorm for gifts for a mother-in-law or any other hard-to-buy-for lady in your life. I saw several things I wouldn’t mind taking home myself. While I was there, two or three different people asked us if we needed any help, and the first one even offered us coffee. A welcoming shop, worth your time!
