Favorite hangout in Pacific City. Unpretentious vibe, awesome beers on tap, and a cute store right next door where I always seem to find some trinket to buy. What’s even better, they let our doggy hang out inside with us! We plan trips to Pacific City just to come here(and the beach, of course).

What an excellent find! The shop has HILARIOUS t shirts and hats, and other gifty type stuff. we got some great goorin bros hats with funny patches of animals with sayings, my sister got the cougar one and my sis in law the wild beaver! The owners obviously have a sense of humor! On the beer and wine side it’s a cozy little spot very comfy and approachable like being in someone’s house. We sat at the bar and had a beer and the owner was super cool and friendly, he even gave me a cock hat that was sun bleached in the window because he already had 4 cock hats and really how many does a guy need? We laughed and enjoyed our time there immensely, AND got to leave with some pliney! SCORE :) can’t wait to get back to pacific city someday and stop back in… Thanks!

Great wine and beer on tap! Fabulous service! We have gotten to know the owners over the years and they are super nice and very generous. The atmosphere is very mellow and casual, perfect for the Oregon coast. Everything is reasonably priced as well.

This place deserves 5 stars for its wine and beer tap selection. Hell, I’d generally give a place 5 stars for a Pliny the Elder tap. So, why did I give this place 3 stars. The owner. A friend and I stopped by because she had been impressed on a previous visit. The female serving us identified herself as the owner. We had a great time chatting with the other patrons, who were all very friendly. Near the end of our visit, my friend and I exchanged a kiss at the bar and the owner told us to «get a room.» I laughed because I was sure it was a joke, it had to be, right? Well, it wasn’t a joke and the other customers seemed surprised when she said«no, really, get a room.» We quickly paid our tab and left. Too bad, we were having a great time and we were going to tell all of our friends about this lesser known gem in Pacific City.

Very nice spot and owners. Free sampling was great, but the pours were small. I would have rather paid a few dollars and got larger pours. Though, that did not stop us from buying some of their tasty reds and the ice wine. The ice wine is freaking great. Much sweeter then I usually like but holy crap it is good! The owners are very nice and aren’t disrespectful since we aren’t the full on wine geeks. Granted I have had Opus, Silver Oak and high end bottles that are incredible but I don’t claim huge knowledge in the wine world, just enjoy drinking good wine and we found some good one here! The Russian River beer was very good as well. A couple pints of that after the tasting and it made for a good day at Pacific Beach.

Pliny(short i), not the«eye» sound. :)) the Elder is unconditionally the best beer available on the Oregon Coast. I wish they had some kind of chars available for consumption so I could safely manage two pints. The fact that there’s really no good food near to haul in also argues against 5 stars, but they are A-OK about you hauling in your own food, so my son and i did. All those old vinyl records are a hoot too, even if the bartender has vastly different tastes than me. As much as I love the Terminal Gravity at Hawk Creek, Pliny just kills it. I hate to admit it, but in the Tillamook County Beer Bowl the score is: Santa Rosa 42 Enterprise 17

We only stopped here briefly, however the lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The wine was delicious and everything in the store is local. If we have more time next time we’re in Cloverdale, we’ll be stopping again.

Sick, sick, sick customer service!!! Ok, it’s small, and Shawn owns the place, but that dude CARES about you having a good time and learning about their wines. He’s also happy enough if you want to just have a pint or play some Atari… Atari? Yep, Atari… Oh, and they usually have Pliny the Elder on tap. Something about a connection to a 12th cousin, twice removed, who once washed the car windows of the creator of Pliny… or something. We tasted most of their wines(um, free tastings!!), consumed some pints, and bought some bottles. But more than that, we played an impromptu round of 80’s music trivia with 6 or 8 new friends and laughed a lot in the coolest little wine/beer shop we’ve ever been in. Great job, Shawn!!!

Beer or wine? Yes! Best of both worlds and everyone in the group can be happy! We stopped in for the wine, but once I saw they had Pliny the Elder on tap, it was all over. Decided it was a beer day and vowed to buy some wine to take home for later. Simply stated, these guys rock. Have stopped in here a few times after adventures at the Pelican. Very cool, very down to earth. We showed up in our bike clothes(this is one relaxed tasting room) and were welcomed by Shawn, one of the owners. He had some cool music groovin’, some old vinyls alongside the bar, and with my Pliny in hand, I wanted to spend the rest of the day here chatting up the locals. If I lived in town, you’d probably find me here more often than the Pelican. You can always find fresh Russian River beers on tap and for sale in bottles here. Ask me how I know? Why don’t you ask them? :) The wine is really well priced, lots of Cabs and Syrahs,(try the Reversal Syrah!) and as they said on their menu, good for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night drinking… We noticed Chenin, Shawn’s wife wasn’t around that day and found she was at the PSU Farmer’s market where they attend all summer. Shawn also told me you can find them Thursday evenings at another Farmer’s market in the Pearl in Portland. Sweet. As much as I love coming to Pacific City, it’s also nice to know we can find their wine in Portland in the summertime since they don’t sell it retail in stores. An hour later,(maybe two?) we left smiling with two bottles of wine, the Basket Case Syrah and a red table wine in hand, and two empty pint glasses of Pliny on the bar.

This place was fun. Tasted a few diffrent wines with a friend. Settled on a $ 4 glass of cab. Funky vibe with cool gifts and trinkets. Will bring my husband next time to check out the massive vinyl collection for in store entertainment… nothing like records and wine!

I love this place. If you love wine but not the pomp and circumstance than this is your place. Try the basket case Syrah while your there. Say hi to Shawn the owner, he does a mean pour.

This place is THE find on the Oregon Coast. The place has a chill vibe, complete with great seating & music. Sean will spin you any vinyl you want to hear or just go with his taste(which is pretty good). Atari(for the kids), very good wine, and they have a couple of great Micro’s on tap as well. Drink too much? Just walk to the nearby restaurants in downtown PC. I highly recommend this place, cool people only…

This is a great little spot in Pacific City. Intimate bar seating, very laid back vibe, make a night of talking with the regulars and the owners for a great time. You can try samples of the wine, or enjoy a beer from one of the few taps. In the past they have had unique, seasonals form Pelican that aren’t available elsewhere(outside of the brewery itself) They also usually have a hard to find, delectable Russian River Brewery beer on tap and also have Russian River’s extremely tasty beers in bottles to go as well. The wine made by this wine company ain’t the best, but its solid, drinkable, affordable table wine. If you’re staying in town this is a highly recommended over Pelican Brewing for drinks.

Ok to be honest I don’t usually go to Twist for a glass of wine but rather because it has the best beer on the Oregon coast. There are four beers on tap, usually one of those is from Russian River and one is from the Pelican, and they only cost $ 4 a pint. The bar is a old bowling alley and there is a great selection of vintage records.

The Carlton’s run a fantastic little wine bar in «downtown» Pacific City. For anyone who enjoys good wine AND beer(that’s right they have beer too), Twist is a must stop. On top of having great drinks, the prices are the best in town. Whether you drinking by the glass or buying bottles for later you won’t have to break the bank. The tasting room is cozy, with bar-style seating(next to their recycled bowling lane counter-top), couches, and good music(including some improptu live sessions from various guests). They even allow minors(provided they’re with a parent or spouse of legal drinking age).

Twist Wine Company is a super cute space in Pacific City, along the Oregon coast. The wine is good, it’s reasonably priced, and the owner that we spoke with this morning was… well, nice enough. I’m not sure if she was bored or what, but she didn’t seem very enthused to have us there. Maybe b/c we were the only ones? Who knows. I’m sure we’ll wander in there again — and maybe this time we’ll bring a bunch of people with us.
