I stopped by today so they could help me apply for health coverage through the state that’s designed for people like me, who have pre-​existing conditions and are therefore expected to be covered by Obamacare. I was helped by Marina, who was very nice and who helped me navigate all the red tape in the application process.
While I was there, other Pacifica residents stopped by to say hello to the apparently very popular receptionist and avail themselves of the free, fresh produce that’s kept on hand in the lobby.
Marina told me there are a surprising amount of «hidden» homeless families in Pacifica, who are sleeping on other people’s floors or in their cars. I’m glad the Resource Center is there to help them, and I sure do appreciate the convenience of having them hold my hand through the process of applying for California’s beta version of Obamacare.
