One word. ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS. heck, I guess I meant two words, cause one word wasn’t enough to describe how PHENOMENAL their food is. First off, their services was outstanding. We got seated right away. Our server was very kind and made sure everything was okay. We ordered the chicken Penang, level 8 spicy. Let me tell you, it was the BEST Penang I’ve ever put in my mouth. And I’ve been to thousands of other Thai restaurants and nothing has come close to chatthai’s penang. The soup was nice and rich, and it was reduced so perfectly. The chicken was super moist and tender! We also tried the pad thai noodles, and it was astonishing! LOVED the flavor! it’s flavor was no like any other Thai joints’ pad Thai. Overall, we had a great experience as first timers. We were so heart warmed by the owner and waited as they showed their appreciation through the see-thru kitchen! btw, their kitchen has no freezer! talk about fresh! love that! we are DEFINITELY coming back!

Amazing food. The yellow curry with chicken(spice level 6) was some of the best yellow curry I’ve ever had, and I live in LA. The portion sizes are enormous and the Thai iced tea and Thai coffee are also delicious. The pad see-yew was a bit heavy on noodles instead of meat, but damn was it tasty as well. Highly recommend this jewel.

Well maintained & very good service by Tara. Server was very thorough with the ingredients to get a better idea before ordering. Delicious food with right spice levels and flavors. Reasonable pricing for Thai food.

Literally the WORST thai food I have eaten. Ordered some pretty basic items: Chicken Pad Thai(classic, generally can’t go wrong) and Chicken skewers. First off, chicken pad thai was completely flavorless, bland, and down right horrible. Even my dog wouldn’t eat it and that is saying something. Hardly any chicken in the ‘Chicken Pad Thai’. Secondly, the chicken skewers were rubbery and looked horrible(not to mention the dried out, awful taste). Also, ordered a side of sticky rice. It was a hardened clump in a small ziplock baggie. Crunchy and terrible. Just terrible. Lastly, the skewers come with a small(small is a generous word) cucumber salad. The cucumbers were soggy and rancid. I cannot believe I paid for this food which was promptly thrown out. If I hadn’t ordered to go, I would have demanded my money back. I will NEVER eat there again nor recommend to anyone. How it has such good reviews is honestly mind-boggling… Absolute disaster.

This was the best Thai food I’ve had since moving to Vegas 7 years. I had the yellow curry with chicken with a spice level of 10 and thus is the first time I have gotten food that actually made my tongue tingle. Not only was the spice level good the flavors were outstanding! I will definitely be back several more times to try everything! !

Who would have thought there was a terrific Thai restaurant in Pahrump, NV? The reviews didn’t lie. I had the spring rolls and fried pork belly. Just delicious. Wife had pad see-eww noodle dish that was just as good as anything I’ve eaten in San Francisco. Best part was the owner’s seven year old son who came out in an apron with a small hand towel asking each guest how was the food and if they needed anything. He was so cute I tipped him, too.

Clearly, this is the best place to eat in Pahrump! The place was just packed on a Tuesday night — service took a bit longer, but was professional and friendly. There are plenty of vegan options — I got the Tom Kha soup, and cashew nut tofu(without rice). The flavors were excellent — pretty darned good meal overall and good value. Nice décor inside — they’ve done a lot to mitigate the basic strip mall space and make it feel warm and personal.

First impression is it’s wierd to us that none of the curries come with rice — jasmine rice is $ 1.95 extra on top of 9.95 for the curry. We eat a lot of Thai food in Dallas and rice always comes with the curry. Still — after a long day in Death Valley we aren’t going to argue. We are tired and hungry and ready for a proper meal :) Red curry at level 5 was delicious, especially when paired with a Thai omelet. Nice sustained heat not so overwhelming to overpower the flavor of the red curry and coconut. I was lazy and stirred the rice into the curry then ladled it into my bowl and added a few pieces of omelet as I went. YUM Pad Thai at level 0 was also very good and comes with chicken, pork, shrimp, or tofu. Noodles were well sauced with tamarind paste and disappeared quickly. Pad Woon Sen with chicken at level 2 was similarly delicious and dispatched quickly. Over all a lovely meal, much better than we expected in Pahrump. We encourage locals and visitors to eat here — YUM

We had an awesome lunch here on our way to Death Valley! It’s a small and cozy place. The servers were very nice and friendly. We had a guy take our order but forgot to ask for the level of spiciness so we told another girl server and she took care of it. There was a party of about 10 – 12 ladies on one table and we were worried we were gonna be waiting for a while since they were there before us and their food would have to come out first, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our soup from the lunch special came shortly before theirs, as well as our entrees. Everything was delicious! We had the beef panang and it was so tasty I could drown in that sauce lol we also had the pad prig King with nice and crispy pork belly. The pork was cut thinner than I’ve seen so it got really crispy but not tough to eat. We had the pad Thai lunch special as well. The lunch special comes with tom yum soup and your choice of chicken satay skewer or egg roll, we got the chicken satay. The soup was delicious and mildly spicy. The chicken satay was nice and tender and came with a delicious peanut sauce. The pad Thai was spicier than our other dishes. Loved the chewiness of the noodles. The only thing, as Gary M. mentioned, was the chicken are like scraps of dark meat in the soup and the pad Thai. You don’t get much. Other than that everything was great! We finished our meal with the sweet rice and custard. It was a weird combination of sweet and salty, but we loved it. I got an iced coffee to go and it was good as well, really really sweet. The guy server who took our order said the entrees didn’t come with rice so we ordered two sides of rice but the girl server who took care of us the rest of the time brought our check and we didn’t get charged for the rice so I’m not sure if the guy just misunderstood lol overall a great and reasonably priced lunch: D

What a pleasant surprise. I ate here with a friend today for an early dinner. To start, the restaurant is very clean and of perfect size: not too small and not large. The service is exceptionally friendly and efficient. The menu is very well put together and the variety is tremendous. What I really liked is that I am not someone who tolerates spicy very well, but I do like Thai food. I usually struggle because restaurants always add a little bit of something that makes it spicy even though it is considered very mild to not spicy. This restaurant did exactly the opposite which is what I love: they can go very spicy, but they prepared my meal so that it was not at all spicy and I greatly enjoyed it. The shrimp fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce were lovely. We had the wonton soup which was so delicious and we completely gobbled it up. I then had their glass noodles with chicken and spinach in a lovely broth that was absolutely fabulous and my friend had a shrimp and glass noodle dish in a clay pot that was delicious! We did take two desserts to go: the coconut rice with custard and it is lovely. The Thai iced tea is phenomenal. Total five stars. Totally going back. Highly recommended.

What a find on the way to Vegas! The reviews are absolutely justified. We landed here super hungry after a full day at Death Valley and had the most amazing Thai food. The tom yum soup is absolutely delicious. My friends tried the chicken satay and they loved it while I feasted on the peanut sauce. The pad kee Mao is delicious and the rest of the food As well. Definitely a must stop if you are headed to Vegas via Death Valley. Well I wouldn’t mind taking a detour as well:).It gets busy and it’s a small bistro but the overall service is nice. P.S-go easy on the spice level here. Their spice starts at level 2. we ordered level 4 and it was super spicy!

I saw 5 star review on Unilocal before going here and the place does live up to the rating. The moment I entered I got a good vibe from the place and it turned out that lot of the décor was actually done by the people who own the restaurant. The food is excellent. It was prepared very presented very well. Service was very cordial and pleasant. Server was open to modifications in food based on the need which made food all the more to our liking. To end with a high note, this is one of the best places I have had food in United States

Family-owned Thai, 5 stars for impressive quality and service out in Pahrump. Had a wonderful meal with my folks, really nice staff and Thai owner came out to greet us. Cute, laidback spot for a relaxed meal. Very reasonably priced($ 10 per dish on average) and large portions. Yum woon sen salad was super refreshing and authentic. Gra pao was my personal favorite. Enjoyed the beef mussaman curry large enough to split 2 – 3. Also ordered the chicken pad thai and beef pad see eiw. Certainly recommend for a good meal if you’re in the Death Valley area.

I had Tom Kah soup and it was delicious and fresh. After I ordered it, the manager/waitress said it was the owners favorite. I also had the Pad Kanah which was unremarkable. It’s worth noting that they charge $ 2.45 extra for brown rice and shrimp each.

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Yum yum yum yum yum. My mother took me here two weeks ago when I was surprised her for her birthday lunch. I had driven in from Los Angeles. I couldn’t wait for today! I’m back in town, this time with my husband, so he could try it. Ok, we’re supposed to be here for Mother’s Day. But really – so he could try it. The lunch special is a fabulous deal. The food is all cooked fresh, and the owner/chef is happy to spend time explaining the authenticity of his recipes versus how Thai food is usually prepared in the States. I actually learned a lot! He and his wife give excellent table service, and the atmosphere is light, modest, and both lively and peaceful. The presentation of the food is photography-perfect. It’s one of those places where every dish carried past my table has me planning what I would order next time I’m in town. Perfect balance.

I happened by this Thai restaurant while in Pahrump for a weekend. It had been a while since I had good and true Thai food. Thankfully this place delivered. Over the course of my stay I stopped by for at least one meal a day. I ended up trying some curry, Pad Thai and Thai Style Fried rice while there. I’d recommend getting Pork Belly with the fried rice if you haven’t tried it before. The only thing that was a little off was the location of the restaurant. It’s tucked in between a pizza chain and a tattoo parlor. Don’t let the neighboring shops confuse you, this place is great. If you’re passing through Pahrump give this place a try.
