The Sushi station has salmon visible through the glass window but none of it is made up and available. Instead it’s all rice with vegetable and other less healthy wraps. More bothersome is that the tall large oriental man at the sushi station is very rude. I rang the bell at the stir fry station where you get your own stir fry done and he ignored me for more than 15 minutes(yes I timed it). Then two other customers came behind me and he tried to wait on them before me until they informed his rude self that I was there first, still he served them first. I have no idea as to why, maybe he has personal issues and/or mental health problems. I decided to just ignored his rudeness. In short the food is greasy and unhealthy! The service was the worst! Better to eat elsewhere.

Food is really messy. their cheap butts rather put the sesame balls with another entrée! Probably a food hazard due to the fact se things needa be warmer then others and they had a cup with sauce inside one of their entrees. Idk how the hell they even got on the food grade chart! And to top it off they didn’t even have deserts other then ice cream!

$ 13 for a decent buffet? Yes please! Ate there before heading back to CA and the food was good, everything you’d expect in a Chinese buffet except they had broccoli chicken instead of broccoli beef. I was kinda like wtf? Service was good and the price was right.

We came in today to try the buffet based on the 3.5 stars and reviews from Unilocal.I give this place 1 star for the friendly staff and cleanliness of the restaurant however the food was awful. If they set out to take flavor, deliciousness and heat out of the food, they did it. Everything was overcooked and bland. What I thought were meatballs were some breaded mush. The steamed rice was too sticky and what I thought was fish in the sushi rolls was actually ginger. Bleah! The fried foods were greasy and gross. Both my boyfriend and I walked out of this restaurant feeling nauseated. Definitely not recommended!

Have eaten here at least 15 times and think it is a great place. The selection is huge and the food is almost always fresh, hot, and well stocked. Having read some of the other reviews I simply don’t know what some people expect for a $ 7.49 lunch. The restaurant is always clean and the service is fair to good. The only time I was disappointed in this establishment was a late afternoon visit and seemed to be between lunch and dinner and the buffet was not up to their usual standard that day however I would definitely recommend this restaurant and plan on returning many times in the future.

Usually good, the selection hasn’t changed in years. One time they were preparing green beans in the eating area, not good. Best time is right after opening, but that means you need to be hungry at 11am. They have really improved their dessert selection in the new location.

We purchased food to go. The food all was very hot and delicious. We regularly order from China Wok and the food is always consistently good. We call in orders and for all the years they have been open they have never made a mistake. Best Chinese food anywhere around. Great pricing as well!

Probably some of the most VILE food I’ve eaten in a long time, and sadly it’s not my first time here. I wanted to throw up afterwards, but didn’t want to have to suffer through tasting it again.

Food was good, and hot. The place was clean, the staff kept our table cleared of dirty plates. I am not a sushi eater but tried it, for me it was not spectacular, but like I said i’m not a sushi eater so don’t go by me.

Limited choice of food :( Sushi are literary dry after being left in the air for too long.

This is a brand new building. Clean, fresh and friendly. Place is packed everyday. NO Alcohol. I was hoping to have a nice Japanese beer with my dinner.

This was a better experience than last year. Food was good and tasty. When we were here last year they had just opened. Of course we overate!

Okay, this is the last review I will be writing for China Wok. Quite frankly, I have a love/hate sort of relationship with this restaurant. The taste of their food and level of customer service is never consistent. Somedays everything is phenomenal, other days they just suck. I still eat there as I can a lot of food for a small amount of money which I think is China Woks greatest asset. If they weren’t cheap and easy, I probably would stop going to China Wok. Plus, there is not much to choose from when it comes to restaurants in Pahrump. I wouldn’t stop and sit at the buffet, unless you are really hungry. I prefer just ordering the take-out and leaving. That is mostly because the take-out tastes fresher, and the servers never seem to refill drinks. The take-out menu also has much more of variety as compared to what is being served at the buffet. China wok isn’t awful, but it’s not fantastic either. Their biggest problem is consistency and I would not eat there if it wasn’t so cheap.

Terrible service and its gotten even worse lately. It was bad enough that your drinks were hardly tended to while eating at this buffet but now the servers are chasing — and I mean literally chasing — you down for their undeserved this! Harassing people if they do not tip until they go back to the table and leave a tip. I heard the stories but could not believe it… Till I saw it with my own eyes. I watched this waiter, not only chase a friend of mine down, but even put his hands on him to stop him from leaving before tipping him — and my buddy was just going to get change so he could tip! I addressed the issue with the manager and he stated that he had no idea and would take care of it. The funny thing is, as we entered that day we also heard a gentlemen making the same complaint to the manager as we passed by and no action was taken, and I’m afraid none will be still.

China Wok Buffet & Grill is Pahrump’s all-you-can-eat chinese restaurant. They are obviously doing something right, owing to the fact that they recently relocated from a location off Dahlia Street in back of the Walmart Supercenter to a prime Pahrump location fronting Nevada Route 160 just north of Nevada Route 375. Buy, in my eyes they are doing something okay. When it comes to reviewing China Wok, it is a comparison to the Chinese Buffets that I have dined inside of in Nevada, Florida, Indiana, and New York. The Las Vegas Casino buffets, in my opinion, are a whole different category. On Monday, I decided to drive over the hump to Pahrump. Before the drive, I asked a friend at work if he recommended Chinese restaurants. According to him there is only Panda Express and China Wok Buffet. The later was the easy choice. When I pulled into the spacious parking lot, there were plenty of cars around 11:30 on a Monday morning. That was a good sign. A better sign was the friendly woman who greeted me when I paid close to $ 10 before the tip for a buffet and soda. There were five stations to choose from. From what I saw, none were live stations. In comparison to the Chinese buffets that I have dined in, China Wok is smaller and featured less of a selection. The food was neither bad or great. It was three stars equals okay. I enjoyed eating the wonton soup until they ran out of wontons(thumbs down), the sushi station food, fried rice, and cabbage. My favorite that could be a wildcard to a return trip was the Dragon & Phoenix. This is sliced chicken and shrimp stir fried with mixed vegetables. In similar fashion to the food, the service was okay. There was a minimal delay time between the hostess seating me and the server asking for my drink order. Whenever I visited the buffet stations(not too often), the majority of the time she’d clear the plate off the table. China Wok Buffet and Grill is an okay choice for Chinese food dining in Pahrump. IMO it beats Panda Express. The best thing about dining in a Chinese Restaurant Buffet is trying different food. If I never dined here I might have never known about the Dragon & Phoenix. In the future, when I drive over the hump to Pahrump I might return to China Wok Buffet and Grill.

Came in on a Sunday night late and they still had a good crowd and the food was still fresh. Any thing with a vegetable was really good including beef broccoli, string beans, and kung pao. Fried dishes were ok except the spring rolls which were not cooked fully on the inside. Prices were really good, staff was friendly.

The buffet was ok, nothing special. Some of the food items were very dried out as if they had been sitting out for a while. The Mongolian wok was good, but it was a little heavy on the sauce. If you are looking for a quick meal, this place will do the trick. Don’t expect a great meal, it’s not that kind of place.

I absolutely love China wok! This is hands down the best Chinese food in all of Pahrump. They were previously in a smaller location that was pretty decent, however, they have relocated into a bigger facility and their buffet bar is much larger and has even more foods to choose from. It also has been decorated very nicely and it has a very nice feel to it inside. It’s very elegant in comparison to the previous location. And again, there are more foods to choose from: they now feature a whole sushi section, which was not previously available. They also added ice cream to their dessert bar instead of frozen yogurt from a dispenser, just to name a couple of upgrades. All in all, nice upgrades, yumny food, and I have known the owner Jeff for many years and eaten at the previous location– and I must say that this new location definitely deserves a 5-star status.
