Stopped by yesterday, only to find out that they went out of business. I was sooooo looking forward to their delicious burger. The best in Nevada! :-(((

This place was pretty good. Very clean inside and very pleasant employees. It’s a hard find if you don’t know where you are going. I ate the Irish nachos which I totally ignored reading what it really was. I tasted my friends burger and uh was delicious. My nachos were good. I’d like to go back and order something different next time.

I had heard so many advertisements on the radio that I just finally surrendered to this chicken good fried restaurant. It is a quaint little place with a very western theme. I ordered the chicken which came with a very SMALL house salad; mashed potatoes with a small boat of gravy, and of course the fried chicken. This was not at all what I had hoped for. The plate was probably one of the blandest meals I’ve ever had. There were virtually no spices or salt in any of it. Being a girl raised on KFC and a hot wings, this was a huge disappointment! The chicken pieces were small and dried out as well. I must say that the salad was a great blend. When I mentioned it to the waiter he said, they cooked this way traditionally. Go figure!

I have had the filet mignon two times. the first it was a bit burnt on the edges. the second time I made sure the cook understood that I do not want bunt. both times the meat was tasty but the second time much better. I think the cook got in a hurry and turned up the heat to get it out the first time.

Great fried chicken! Friendly service and good food a bit off the main road, but worth finding. I really enjoyed the meal and they have plenty of parking.

A little bit hard to find but it was well worth it. My fried chicken was delish. Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I would give it 4.5 stars except for a slight mix-up on our order by our server(not Sugar). I would definitely come back for the chicken or maybe even a steak. My favorite place in Pahrump.

The quality for the price leaves a lot to be desired. My friend and I ordered the ribeye since it came recommended. Out of the advertised 12 ounces I am fairly certain at least half of it was gristle and fat. Furthermore, the meat itself seemed pressed or rolled as the thickness was no more than a half an inch and the cook on the steak was hardly discernible. Now, I wouldn’t mind this level of quality if I was paying 10 dollars or less, but over $ 20.00!!! At those prices the level of expectation is higher and this place fails in that regard. The accompanying baked potato was reheated as the skin was soggy and the flesh was dry requiring a lot of butter. The only saving grace was the salad: the greens were fresh, crisp and perfectly chilled and the dressing was rich and tasty. I should have ordered a salad as the main entrée. I will likely never try the salad entrée options as I don’t plan on returning.

This place was amazing, we went in with a party of eight and the service and food were excellent. The fried chicken was the best in the West and others in our party got steaks and they raved about them too. It is off the main streets but worth the drive only 5 minutes from the main road. The décor was country and the bar was separate so we were not exposed to smoke and the waitress managed the entire restaurant with a smile and politeness and we asked for quiet a lot. We will definitely be back because our experience was top notch.

We’ve heard the buzz about Sugar’s Shack for a while now and decided to try them out for dinner. I didn’t find their place too hard to locate but it is definitely off the beaten path. If not for the signs yelling out that it was there, it’d be easy to miss. I had read a lot of reviews about Sugar’s having the best burger in Pahrump and also noted all of the delicious varieties of burgers they offer. My pallette was primed for a burger by then. Upon arriving at Sugar’s Shack I noticed the hours on the door stating lunch from 11 – 4 and dinner from 4 – 8. Just an FYI, I’m assuming they have a lunch and a dinner menu because I only saw one burger on the menu. I was a little disappointed as I was expecting a couple different burgers to choose from. What I saw online must have been from their lunch offerings. However, they did have a lot of other tasty selections on their dinner menu. First up, fried corn and fried pickles. The corn was not what I knew to be fried corn. It was corn on the cob, not battered but just fried in oil. Left a bit to be desired. But the fried pickles now those were the best I have ever had! They were battered and seasoned with a spicy seasoning. Not sure if it was Cajun seasoning but whatever their recipe is was oh so delicious! Now for the main courses. Ribeye steak and the fried chicken. The steak was juicy and cooked to order and seasoned perfectly! The fried chicken was so fresh and had that your grandmother’s cooking taste. Very good. The pan gravy and REAL mashed potatoes were also like something from your grandmother’s kitchen. Good down home taste and feel. The restaurant itself is small and very cozy. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would like to see a couple more varieties of hamburgers on the dinner menu. All in all we are so happy to have found this little gem! We will definitely be back!

Came with friends who came here last week. We were not disappointed. Hubby and I both had the green chili and cheese burger on a cibatta roll. Yummy. Another had the Philly Cheese Steak and said it was wonderful.

Customer service — top notch — we tipped and all we got was takeout. Simple food, wasn’t terribly impressed after all the hype but I’d say the food was well priced for the portions you get, and the quality. The fried chicken dinner was simple and reminiscent of a home cooked meal — for $ 13. A little greasy for my taste but decent seasoning. To be fair, if I’m sounding not too impressed, I literally just had Knott’s Berry Farm’s famous chicken dinner only a week ago — hard to top. Overall though I was left satisfied from the Shack’s chicken dinner The wife had the wagon burger and states it was salty. She was not as satisfied with her dinner as I was. My daughter’s steak was cooked to medium just as we requested and seasoned well, so no complaints there. And the little guy’s cheeseburger tasted like a cheeseburger . I will say though that I was very impressed with the variety of the kids menu! Most places just have chicken nuggets, grilled cheeses and burgers. This place had shrimp, top sirloin, Irish nachos, and more! Very cool. Overall, a place to go eat with your family and get your money’s worth. The most I could give was 3 stars though

I am not digging the country theme going on but the food and customer service was above and beyond what I expected. The restaurant is out of the way and can be difficult to find if your not a local but definitely worth it if your in the mood for steak/poultry/fish. Also, the price is a bit high for the average local but I suppose the price is pretty average for a steak house. I got the lemon chicken which was superb, my family enjoyed their T-bone steaks and fried chicken!

Went to sugar shack with another couple And we ordered chicken started to cut the meat off the bone and blood in the center Took another leg and went to cut the meat off the leg and don’t you know it to was under cooked also, Server Larry was near by so in getting his attention and pointed out the blood in the chicken legs he stated its only a blood vain Come on Larry this is how people get sick from under cooked foods So Larry’s answer to this problem was to remove the chicken and bring back The two wings and saying he will not charge for the chicken Ok now I’m down two chicken legs and never received any more to eat, so I don’t know about you but but that chicken was not that good to begin with I’ve got to give this place only one star for the chicken! Last word Don’t get the chicken,

So happy that my friends at Mom’s told me about Sugar’s Shack. Great place. Not easy to get to but it is worth it. Super friendly staff! Tons of parking. Ordered the Ribeye. It was surprisingly good. Better than that place that calls itself a Prime Steakhouse in the Nugget. That place looks nice but don’t be fooled. It sucks… Read my review of it. Back to Sugar’s Shack. Bacon Cheddar Mashed Potatoes were awesome! Great desserts. Found another great place to eat at when I am in Pahrump. *Front Sight Students– Check this place out(as well as Mom’s). They don’t disappoint.

We came to visit family in Pahrump. Decided to do Mothers Day dinner at Sugars Shack. Jared was our server. He was great, stayed on top of our drinks and food. Out of 6 people we had fried chicken, a filet and a couple ribeyes. Everyone was happy and we will definitely do lunch or dinner here again when we are back in town. If your from Vegas this place is very comparable to Bob Taylor’s Ranch House Highly recommended!!!

Short Review: This place is fine for dinner with 1 – 3 other people. The average price is around $ 16.00 and the service is great. Longer Version: When you arrive to the restaurant the first thing you notice is that it’s attached to the Stage Stop bar. Parking for the restaurant is in the back in a dirt lot without parking markers. As you walk into the restaurant you are greeted and helped to a table right away. When I arrived there was a large party of about 12 – 16 people, so it was very crowded. I’m sure that’s not normal. The seating is comfortable and appears to be setup for 2 – 4 people per area. The lighting is fluorescent and doesn’t add anything positive to the already plain ambience. The music was low and it was easy to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations. The menu has a variety of great food, but there is no kids menu. However, the establishment allows kids to order from the lunch menu. We ordered the chicken fingers for our 5-year-old son and he liked it just fine. We also ordered the Beef Stroganoff, Ribeye Steak, and Chicken Marsala. The Beef Stroganoff was good, however, the traditional noodles were replaced with Rice Pilaf. That changed the flavor of the meal, which means it changed the type of meal it was. The Ribeye steak was very good, and they did a good job getting it «medium rare» for my order. The Chicken Marsala, although fine, was not Chicken Marsala. It was more of a chicken with a sweet gravy and mushrooms. For dessert we ordered the«Mile High Apple Pie». It was not a «mile high» and even though it was Apple pie, it tasted like something from SAMs Club. Between two adults and two kids we expected something called«mile high Apple pie» to be a great sharing dessert. We were wrong. It could be shared between two people, but that’s stretching it. We got the check, paid for it, and left with many goodbyes. Overall, the service is amazing, the food came out on time despite the large party, and the food was pretty good. Improvements: Parking markers, mood lighting and ambiance music, and correct a few menu names. And give your staff a raise.
