The best part of this restaurant is the friendly service and those chips and salsa. The food part was just okay, nothing spectacular in my book. I’ve had way better Mexican food in the Los Angeles area, but for Pahrump which doesn’t have many choices is an okay restaurant to go to.

I stopped by here while I was passing through. I stopped because of the good reviews. The chips and salsa were good! I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was grayish — so that was really unappealing. But the rice and beans were good. The staff was friendly. If I come back I would definitely order something else.

This place was awful. Food was not good, servers not very quick. Atmosphere was very blah. Didn’t enjoy anything about this place. Too expensive for the terrible food served. No, I won’t ever go back. Of course, I think we have been to every resturant that has been in this building, and NONE of them have been good.

Food was fresh and very tasty. Great homemade chips and salsa! Curb appeal isn’t great but once inside it is very clean and cozy. I will definitely go back and tell others to give it a try.

Went to the second location(located on HWY160) for the first time last week and thought the food was just awful. I also thought the restaurant looked dirty and very poorly decorated. Not to mention instead of cleaning or working they were watching a movie, They kept the volume very high while I was dining. The service was absolutely wonderful though so I will give them that. I wouldn’t go back.

Ok. So I am horrible at remembering names. But with that said we were waited on by a nice young guy and a super nice young beautiful girl with amazing eye makeup. They were both great! On top of things making sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good. Very reasonable prices and more than enough food. Their spicy habanero salsa is really good. We would definitely come back if we are in Pahrump again. Thanks guys, great little family business.

We went to the new location on Hwy 160. We weren’t overly impressed by the food. We had the chicken chimichanga and the chicken enchiladas. Both lacked flavor and spice. Everyone there was super nice — I would definitely go back if I liked the food. It just wasn’t for me.

Good stuff. Smaller menu, but there is the standard faire. Went here two nights in a row, found the chips and salsa to be great. Ask for the green salad. Steak ranchero and ground beef burrito are worth the visit.

We went to their second location the other day. I didn’t really like the food at all. It was plain, nothing special. No taste to it really. There are a lot of other mexican restaurants in this town I’d rather go to. The server seemed kind of nervous to help us too, or something. It was just a weird experience. I might try this location next time to see if it’s any different, but it’s not the top of my list.

Oh wonderful very nice. I have to admit I was a little shy to try the Menudo. But the flavor is quite mild and they stay away from tripe. I ordered the tableside guacamole which is freshly prepared right at the table. I have to admit that I was hoping for a beer after Crystal hunting near to Tecopa all morning, but the Mexican Coca-Cola balanced the spicy salty savory meal quite fine. The proprietor is working on getting a liquor license, which will make this off the beaten path restaurant complete.

As far as restaurants go in Pahrump, they have decent food. We were greeted right away by the two people up front and seated. Service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere is very casual. The restaurant recently moved to their new location. Overall the food was pretty good. I had the chicken enchilada combo plate. The chicken was, surprisingly, diced dark meat, so the taste was a little off. I’m used to shredded or diced chicken breast. The positive was that it guaranteed moist chicken. The beans were your average refried beans, but tasted good. The chips were very good, fried flour, but lacked salt. The salsa was a little bland, but still decent. Overall, a good place to eat in Pahrump!

We came here for dinner tonight and had a great meal! We started with some yummy bean dip con queso with fresh chips and salsa. Very good! Main course was veggie burrito, chile relleno and fish tacos dinner. Everything was fresh, piping hot and delicious. The owners are fun and talkative. We loved it. We’ll be back for breakfast. Muchas gracias amigas!

My fav Mexican Restaurant(Sorry El Jefe’s) I love how fresh the food is and how nice the employee’s are. The prices are perfect with me. I would like to see more stuff on the menu, my favorite Mexican dish is Sope’s & I can only get those at Rubbacabra’s & I don’t really like going there.

We stopped in for dinner based in the great Unilocal reviews, however our meal was disappointing. The salsa had no flavor and was somewhat fermented(which means old). My husband ordered nachos and was asked if he wanted the guacamole and spot cream with it. What we should have asked for was cheese. The meat tasted like it had been warmed by microwave and there was no cheese. I had a taco salad that was pretty much the same. Overcooked tasteless meat with a ton a beans. If this is the best in pahrump it’s going to be a long long week. On another note… Our waitress was really nice.

This place was, in the words of my brother, «totes legit.» The tacos were amazing and I highly recommend getting the glass bottled Coke or Sangria(grape flavored soda) to enhance the already good experience. If you’ve ever been to Mexico and had some, you’ll know with that longing desire for really good authentic street tacos doesn’t calm easily. But to quell that intense passion for real tacos you can’t do much better than this place. So good.

Excellent tacos and fried ice cream. Fresh-made hot sauces. I hear they make fresh guacamole, but only pre-prepared today, so that’s why only 4 stars. Very nice service and quality.

Little Ma n Pa place about a half mile off the main drag through town. Friendly, clean and quick. Nice dining seating area. Food selection is basically Texican, but if you get chatting you can have La Plancha style like tacos al pastor. This is a spicier meat than just the usual stuff. Unfortunately lengua(tongue), my mexifave, wasn’t available, but is listed. I had a taco plate, al pastor style, along with perrones, a little charro-style taco consisting of beans, steak and cheese all heated and melty. Food was fresh and excellent. The chips were flour tortilla based, nice change and lighter. The homemade salsa is fresh and tasty, but again if you have chat, they bring a spicier, sweeter version that is not full of onion and cilantro. It is still mild in my scale, but stronger than the normal version. In any case, it was really noteworthy and a must try. Special note: they are standout in Pahrump dining because they are open 7 days. Most restaurants are closed Sun and Mon, another plus for El Chero. reasonable pricing. I’ll definitely be back!

Who would have thought that there would be good Mexican food, in the middle of nowhere Nevada? While cruising through here on our annual roadtrip, we decided to stop for vittles, instead of packing snacks into Death Valley. Busting out my trusty little Unilocal app, we noticed this little joint, with good reviews, was located just a mile away from our gas stop, so off we went to check it out. We popped in and were immediately greeted by a warm and friendly smile, along with a basket of homemade chips and a delicious homemade salsa. We ordered, we savored and we washed it all down with bottles of «Jarritos». With no room left for dessert, we hit the road, satisifed with our south of the border meal and terrific service. Check this place out, the next time you’re cruising through Pahrump. You’ll be glad you did. We’re looking forward to our return visit next year. Gracias güey!
