Friendly staff, cute décor. Ordered the «suicide» poke plate. Could’ve been spicier based on the name but it was still 100% delicious. The fish was fresh and the portion was bigger than I had expected so sadly I didn’t have room for a shave ice but I will definitely be back!

More than just shaved ice! The local food is awesome. Best poke and acai bowls. Great location in Paia and had plenty of seating. Girl working was super friendly and helpful.

Tobi’s is THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN PAIA! You dont need to buy a shave ice when at Tobi’s Shave Ice Shop, they have the best Local Gindz. The Ahi is caught fresh by the owners husband, or friends & family. The girls working are Hawaii angels & always have a smile on, even when the line is out the door! Da best plate is hands down, The Fresh or seared AHI. My favorite seasoning is the shoyu wasabi poke flavor. (If you want the shave ice i recommend the Ice cream on the bottom with two flavors atop, eith Tobi’s secret Li Hing Mui sauce! GO BIG or GO HOME!

Seared ahi plate lunch BOMB! Fresh, tasty, and so ono — I’d post a picture if I could wait long enough to take one but I dive right into my furikake rice and before you I know it, there’s nothing to take a picture of.
Shave ice is ok, staff is friendly and courteous.

The poke here is amazing! The owner’s husband is a commercial fisherman, so they have the inside track on fresh (never frozen) ahi. The fish texture was so smooth and almost melts in your mouth. We tried the ginger, Hawaiian, and ceviche. The ginger was my favorite – it has a nice sweet ginger flavor. It’s $ 16/lb., and they make it to order.
Everyone there is also friendly and helpful.

Great poke. Great seared ahi burger. Even has parking!!! Love it here! Nice outdoor seating and friendly service. My favorite is the ginger poke! ONE PROBLEM they close at 6pm not 7pm… Please change your hours on Unilocal

Amazing amazing amazing!!! This is honestly my favorite place on the island! The ahi poke here is delicious! You have a couple different options, salad, or a plate but you can’t go wrong with either. Employees are really nice and the décor is simple and perfect. Stumbled across this place last year and had to come back again, shaved ice is the perfect mixture and isn’t drenched in syrup. If you have time Tobis is a must!

Not only was the shaved ice absolutely delicious, the women working here were so kind and helpful. As a visitor to Maui, they gave me tons of info and direction to find li hing candy and powder.
I got three tropical flavors and the cream on the shaved ice which is a must! I also got the li hing powder on top, and it was so yummy. I ate the whole thing and drank down the rest in five mins flat and it was the perfect snack for a hot day. The vibe of the place is so authentic beach town, and welcoming to everyone (especially families.) The employees are genuinely sweet and accommodating to their customers. They have tons of desserts and fresh fish/poke dishes. The next time I am in Paia, I will most definitely come back for more. It’s worth going to! You won’t regret it.

Stopped by in the afternoon the staff was very friendly was willing to answer questions and were great with my niece and nephews.
Had the coconut ice cream in the middle of the shaved ice with 3 flavors, blue vanilla, pineapple & coconut. All flavors were delicious.
Saw another customer order some pokè. Looked amazing as it was made before your eyes. I would recommend this stop to others!

Shave ice is delicious, yes… but the Acai Bowl… omg! Best on the island! Make sure they have everything to make it though, prior to ordering because they got halfway through mine and then inform me that they were out of bananas… Which is a huge part for me in an Acai Bowl. Needless to say, I canceled my order extremely disappointed, as I had been craving it for days, but I know how good they are so I will keep going back and trying!

This was the first Shave Ice experience I had and was delighting at the Hawaii treat. However, as I had more along the trip I realized this was pretty mediocre in comparison to other Shave Ice places.
Final Word: shave ice is virtually impossible to mess up so if you’re in the area it does have convenience going for it.

The shaved ice is great but you have to try the meals also. We got two ahi pokes plates, one with shoyu and one with spicy mayo («suicide») and they were both out of this world. Possibly the best meals we had on Maui. Simple, fresh, healthy, and super flavorful.
We also got the chili plate with rice and salad included. The chili is not super spicy but delicious.
The service is friendly, fast, and helpful.

I was craving shaved ice while walking around Paia so was excited to come across Tobias.
They have outside seating so got to enjoy my shaved ice out there.
A lot of people were coming in and ordering their food like the poke so thinking that’s yummy here.
I got a small shaved ice with vanilla Icecream at the bottom (they had a few other flavors) and you can pick 3 flavors so I did mango, lychee, and piña colada.
My favorite part was the vanilla ice cream which made me believe the rest of it had no flavor.
Watching them put together the shaved ice was cool though.
