4 stars just because i love lobster and the lobster here was perfect. HUGE, flavorful and the baby vegetables were so adorable. Made the whole dish stand out visually and tastefully. Great ambiance. Very romantic environment for a date or anniversary. Be sure to use your players card to save money(really expensive without it) and rack up points. You’ll thank yourself later.

Stayed at the Pala for the weekend and was impressed with this restaurant. The food was great and they had sea bass which I prefer over a steak. The filet was good but that’s expected.

The food melted in your mouth. We had chicken breast very moist with a nice crispy skin. The Filet Mignon was so tender one of the best I have ever tasted. Side of asparagus and baked potato was really good. The service was was excellent. A very nice dim lit environment.

Every time I visit a casino, I make sure to dine at their steakhouse. The Oak at Pala is the steakhouse at Pala Casino. The service was excellent, the staff was attentive and exceptional. My husband ordered his usual Prime Rib rare, which he says was delicious. My order of Australian Lobster Tail was quite different. It tasted great, but the presentation was terrible, as it leads me to believe, 2 lobster tails were used. If you see the picture, the li sterling tail was not presented as a whole tail. This was the first time in my life I ordered a Lobster tail that was«cut up». For the price of the tail, one would expect the whole tail presented on top of the shell, but this is not what I received, so this review is for this dish. Price is what to be expected. Our bill was about $ 180, which included salad, 2 side dishes, lobster. Prime Rib and cocktails. I would eat here again, but probably stray away from the Lobster.

The restaurant is beautiful, the staff excellent but the food leaves much too be desired. Wanting to celebrate our 55th. wedding anniversary in style we settled on the Oak Room at Pala. Advertised as a World Class Steak House we found the food to be less than anticipated. The 8oz lobster was barely a few bites, more like a large shrimp and the ribeye steak was very thinly cut and appeared to be cooked on a flat top grill. This was an expensive lesson to go by personal recommendations and not in house advertisements. We will not return to this restaurant again.

I am amazed! My husband and I were looking for an exceptional restaurant to celebrate a very special occasion. Living in North County, our choices are very limited. So when making a reservation at The Oak Room, I wasn’t expecting much… Located in Pala Casino, it has remained hidden to us, as we usually make a beeline for«NOODLES». We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and seated immediately as well. We ordered: The wedge salad, Prime Rib, Rib Eye Steak and Baked potato. The wedge was perfectly presented, garnished with slab bacon, asparagus and quail eggs. Our rib eye and prime rib were cooked to perfection, with the fat gently caramelized, tender, moist and juicy. They finished off our meal with a beautifully presented celebration piece of cake… Keep in mind that everything is a la carte… so you are going to pay extra for the salads, soups and sides. But you won’t mind once you have a taste. The service was excellent. our server Sid, was very attentive. A perfect evening. I cannot wait to go back!

Came in here for a birthday dinner and left very disappointed! First off, we walked in and there was PLENTY of open tables but told us we had to come back in 30 minutes when a table was ready??? The birthday girl really wanted to try it, so we waited and came back. The server was nice but didn’t really check on us, other than to take our orders and pay for the bill at the end. The young girl helping her with refilling our waters and taking our plates was very attentive and always made sure our drinks weren’t empty. Food was very disappointing! We had: — Chilean Sea Bass, which was OVERCOOKED and chewy — Halibut, which was also overcooked — Rib eye, not very much flavor — Prime Rib which was ok Prices were okay, not too pricey for a steakhouse. But needless to say, we won’t be going back.

The best Meal I’ve ever had! Crab cakes and corn off the cob was amazing! The service was good too. Very expensive however worth the fine dining treat. If you want a fancy dinner this is a great place.

Far from good service. With us being the only table there we waited over 45 min. for our food. The manager, Sarah, I believe was her name hearing our complaints did absolutely nothing to help us. She was having a great conversation with her employee though. We told the waiter we no longer wanted the food we were waiting for and wouldn’t you know that is when she FINALLY came over to talk to us. She then said, «oh look your food is ready!» That was after our third complaint and loud talking hoping someone would get a clue. Our bill was over $ 400. Is that how you treat people who want to spend money and enjoy dining. I will definitely be taking my business to the Italian restaurant or the pizza place. I was really hoping that The Oak Room would be better than it was… but it’s not. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The food really wasnt worth the price. And what gets me the most is the filet mignon. I asked for them to cook it til it’s pink in the center. I received the filet and it was completely red, undercooked. And they gave us 3 waiters which made it a bit confusing. They were nice waiters, no complaints on service. But they did confuse our bill with someone else’s and one of our waiters hardly spoke English. I wouldn’t come back.

Went there for birthday dinner. Service was FANTASTIC!!! 5-stars! Left the young man a HUGE tip; he deserved it! Food– nothing that amazing. Definitely LOOKS incredible. But taste is not more than 3 stars(after factoring in price). Keep in mind we are used to Flemings’ steaks. Wouldn’t go back. For the price, there are lots of other places out there that are better. We are in SoCal, not Nebraska!!! Lol

Great food and ambiance! This place is awesome. Our service was incredible as well. You would never guess there is a casino buzzing outside of this place. Would recommend this place for a great date night!

The food was okay… a bit pricey and not very tasty… our waiter had to be the most arrogant pompous ass that I have ever come across… attention owner/manager, the last thing customers want to deal with is some rude self important twit. We ordered soup and were given small dessert spoons to eat our soup with. The dessert spoons kept falling into the soup bowls. When we complained and requested larger spoons, the ass-bite waiter stated that the small spoons are the spoons that they have been using for several years and no one has ever complained about them before. Finally, he went and retrieved larger spoons… but came back with an attitude. I ordered prime rib, which was so-so. I have had better at other restaurants. Once the bill came, I was taken back at how much a glass of cheap-ass wine cost…$ 15.00. The wine(house merlot) was not very good… I’ve had better $ 7.00 bottles of wine than that $ 15.00 glass that I purchased. I mentioned the cost to the waiter and with a snide attitude, the waiter responded that I had ordered the cheapest glass of wine. This waiter and our encounter with this guy came directly out of one of those movies where a couple goes into a nice restaurant and are met by a snide pompous jerk of a waiter. Will I ever go back? Absolutely not! We found the staff to be extremely rude and condescending.

Best steak and seafood restaurant! If you want a quality steak and seafood in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, this the place. Yes you have the casino outside, but here you can relax and enjoy fine food and wine. Our Chef Aji took special care of our meal and made it a night to remember. Our server Judy was also exceptional. We celebrated our Anniversary here and it was one of the most memorable for us because the food and staff was so outstanding. Aji our chef hit it out of the park.

Great little steakhouse with completely professional staff, awesome wine list, and boastful whiskey. Reasonably priced, and has a beautiful romantic date-night atmosphere.

This place has been a long time favorite that always stays hidden away enough that last minute appearances usually get a table. One piece of advice, don’t go with the larger lobsters as they do not have the same taste and texture as the smaller ones.

SOGOOD!!! We came here this past weekend and had such a great dining experience! It is so nice to dress up and go to a fancy dinner and have the experience you are looking for. We requested a booth for 2 and the ambiance is so nice there. Lightly dimmed and the place smells amazing. Our waiter was so great and attentive. Even though they were fully booked that night, I never felt like the service was not 100% We had the french onion soup… It was amazing! The filet was deliciousness as was the Mac and cheese! I definitely recommend this restaurant for those wanting to tryout the casino and enjoy a fancy dinner.

The food is really good at the Oak room. But the service and the management lack of professionalism makes it hard to enjoy your meal. Our waiter was not knowledgeable about the food and the cut of meat and the portions and how the food was prepared. The front staff were not friendly and when we went in to ask a couple of questions they referred for us to The pala café which was extremely rude. And you could hear the manager constantly lecturing our waiter. If it wasn’t because of the food I would have given this place a one star I have never given a business one star usually like to try them a couple of times I don’t think it’s fair. I will go back to this restaurant hopefully this service is better next time.

We were here for a concert and looking to get something to eat before it started. Stopped by because it smelled so good when we were passing by! Food was delicious and service was excellent! Setting is very intimate with low lighting. Best prime rib I’ve ever had! Everyone was happy with their orders! Food was so delicious! We will definitely be coming back!
