First time here since moving to Palatine. This place reminds you of a 1950’s-1960’s hardware store. Nothing like Home Depot or Lowes but better! This is where you go to find that odd size nut, bolt, screw or washer. A store that still offers quality merchandise that will last. Got a teeny tiny nut here that we were looking for at other places for months. This will be my go to hardware store for the hard to find items and sizes!

Barrington is STILL a hardware desert imo. I have had good luck at Zimmer picking up onsie twosie odd parts, like ONE aluminum screw and they HAD it and would sell me one for 7c or something instead of having to buy a PACK of screws that I don’t need or want for $ 2 when I only want one. They disappear into that mysterious basement for awhile, have a cigarette or something and then reappear with exactly what I need. Maybe they’ve got a 3D printer down there? I’m a fan. I always check here first before I hit the National chains and often catch lunch at Bauer’s Brauhouse or several other new tasty choices. Lotsa beer close by!
