Wine was good. Sommelier was nice and informative. Grounds were well kept. But pretentious vibe. Sorry we rode in on our bikes and not our Maserati. We paid for a wine tasting and waited for a couple to select multiple jams before we could order a glass of water. There are so many other options where you can walk in and get salami and cheese for less that 35 dollars. Worth the experience, just not worth a revisit.

Easily our favorite winery in Palisade. Each wine had much more character than other places we visited even though we tried even more varieties than the other vineyards. We had the charcuterie board which initially seemed overpriced at $ 35. However, we weren’t able to finish it all between the two of us. It featured a delicious selection and was well worth the cost. An underlying theme of the wineries that we visited still rang true here, the people who were pouring your wines seemed to be a little uneducated about the wines themselves. I’m not interested in hearing about dozens of tastes in a single glass, but it would be fun to hear about where they’re grown, why they were selected and things of that nature.

This was my favorite winery in Palisade. The wines were fantastic, the meat/cheese/olive platter was amazing, and the ambiance was the best of any place we had went. It was probably good that this was one of the last vineyards we went to, since it sets the bar higher than many others in the area.

An excellent venue, and for those who want to sit under a tree with a glass of cab when the weather’s nice, it’s the place. Good wines but their prices are a bit higher than other similar wineries. A mix of classic vinifera wines as well as hybrid(Marechal Foch), with the emphasis on dry wines.

I am so surprised by the rave reviews for Maison. Of all the Palisade wineries visited last weekend, this was our worst experience of the day. The woman behind the tasting counter wouldn’t acknowledge our presence or start a tasting for us. When she finally did, she just kept asking us if we were going to buy wine. This was the only vineyard we did NOT buy from. We were going to grab a bottle and a charcuterie plate and take a lunch break, but we were so offended by the rude treatment that we left. I have heard good things about Maison and the owner… sure wish we would have met him instead. Maybe one of the four cases of wine we brought home would have included some of theirs… Many other warm, friendly vintners to visit and spend the day with… avoid the crowds and the snobbery and don’t be afraid to veer off the trail for some great wines.

By far the most relaxing retreat of all wineries and cellars we saw. A calm and shady patio area with ample room. There was local art available for purchase and the hosts were very very gracious with allowing us to try what we wanted with generous portions. Obviously aside from the taste bud dancing deliciosity of the selections, their willingness to «break the rules» of sipping portions and limitless variation I couldn’t help but buy some well grown and cultivated wines. They specialized in reds so if you are a fan of red wines and the perfect balance of welcoming pretentiousness(in the best of ways) with a bit of rustic class on the back end you absolutely have to stop at this winery. Side note: if you happen to be searching for a great event(wedding) location I highly recommend looking at their back room. It is a super cute barn style with its own bar but when I say«barn» I mean very tasteful large room with wood flooring and even a loft for the ladies to prepare!

The atmosphere at this winery was so relaxing and comfortable. I wish I could remember the name of the guy helping us during our tasting because he was so knowledgable! He was a blonde Australian who really had a passion for wine making. He described each of our wines in detail and gave us background information on the type of grape used and the process used to make that particular blend. The wine was amazing, especially their Vin de Peche! Get their cheese and meat plate as well!

This is without question one of the nicest wineries in the Palisade region, if not Colorado! I have now bought several cases of their wine and I am continually impressed on the high quality and the outstanding value they all are. To visit the winery is to step into the french country side and totally relax. The combination of excellent wines with a Charcuterie board is such delight. It allows for a momentary lapse of the present and transports one to another peaceful place. I have had far more expensive wines and been to much larger wineries but I have not enjoyed any as much as this. Keep up the great work John and Corey, I will be back!

Mostly red wines, as a white wine drinker it was the perfect place to try reds and find some that I like. The tasting room is gorgeous, and the outside seating was perfect. The spread was very generous and perfect for us.

This is a fantastic place to relax. By far, my favorite place to enjoy a bottle of wine on the property and feel the sunshine. Make sure to try the Cabernet Sauvignon, order a bottle, and stay and relax.

Love this winery! I’m from Texas and wouldn’t make a trip to this area with out a trip here. My husband and I both have favorites and the team is so helpful and friendly. It’s a great place to sit outside with a glass of wine!

Really cool tasting room. I bet the summer is even better! We loved the single barrel Cabernet sav. The other tastings were good but this one took the cake. The second best is for sure THE KInG Syrah. It’s so tough to find a good Syrah in town but here it was! Definitely a good winery to swing by!

John was very nice and I enjoyed listening to his stories about how he came to own the winery and how he makes his wines. I was very delighted that he opened up the tasting room for us. He mainly makes reds, but had 1 white. We walked away with 6 wines. And an amazing experience. Will definitely return again! :)

A group of 15 of us descended on Tom and his team at Maison la Belle Vie Winery while on a bachelorette party bike tour around Palisade and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. The wine was lovely — Syrah was our favorite — and the cheese and meat plate was delicious! At first when looking at the menu, I thought the price was a bit high for the cheese plate but I just hadn’t seen how much food it was be. It was much more food than expected and every bit was great. The ambience both inside and out was quaint and charming, just what we were looking for in our winery experience. The best part though was Tom, who took wonderful care of us and made the day special for our bride-to-be and the whole group. Definitely a must if you’re in Palisade!

Parking area was small. Owner was arrogant and rude. The tasting room was small and disorganized. The wine wasn’t to our taste and the owner was angry we didn’t buy any bottles of wine. When we didn’t buy the owner glared at us until we left the property. Beautiful winery but not worth a visit in our opinion. 9÷12÷2014− Update I received an email from Corey and he apologized for our experience. Honestly I will consider going back because of his responsiveness and desire to make customers happy. His service turned around my thoughts a bit. I will bump up the rating because of his email and apology. The winery was incredibly beautiful and 4+stars. Going to chalk up our visit to bad day for John, not sure what his role is but going forward maybe he will remember the client experience.

Had a lovely time eating picnic lunch on beautiful patio at this winery. Patio Scenery– 4.5 stars. Wine — 3 stars. Overpriced for what it is($ 30 and up), but I would spend $ 15 – 18 for it maybe. Nice selection of different varietals and blends to pick from. The wines at Garfield Estates across the street were higher quality, better priced, with a really nice wine tasting experience thrown in. Ambiance and friendliness– 2 stars. The wonderful/friendly staff comments on Unilocal here were so totally off base for our experience as to puzzle me. They poured some tastes for us upon request. They took the money for the bottle we bought. That is it. Three young college aged people working there; not one hello or bit of chat. There were maybe six other people in the tasting room, so it’s not like it was hugely busy. One guy did have a language barrier and was shy speaking English, having just arrived from France maybe.

Pleasant patio and yummy garlic spread and goat cheese to munch on while drinking wine. They usually have olives, but were out. I wish the had some locally grown heirloom tomatoes and it would have been perfect! I recommend bringing your own.
