I have to say that the first time my hubby and I went to this place it was strictly on the recommendation of some locals… and frankly it was a little spooky. This store is located well of the beaten path in an area that is almost Grand Junction. Going in, there are no pies on display and the fridge holding various pickled items is completely clouded over with age. I was a little worried about it, but the pie… The pie was amazing. The crust is super crisp and tender all throughout the pie not to mention the fact that the filling is nice and solid so you don’t have a soupy filling to try and eat. The flavors vary depending on the season. When we went in July we got a Peach pie and a Blackberry/raspberry pie. This time we went in August and got an apple and strawberry/rhubarb pie. When you go in, be sure to ask the lady there(she makes all the pies) what flavors she has. The price is always around $ 12 — 13. Definitely worth the money. This place has become a destination for us whenever we go to Palisade.
