It took almost two hours for the delivery to come & food was awful. I called to complain and the lady in the phone smirked at me.

Spicy jja jang myun is great! I come here time to time whenever my wife craves jja jang myun. The only problem is, i get knocked out into sleep after eating here. Crazy food coma.

This had been our favorite Korean Chinese place for a while now until recently. Only the first couple times the spicy jjajngmyun was good. Now that they seem to have more customers it seems to have gotten to their head. Quality of their dishes went down. I got overcooked cold noodles, room temp. sauce, the kanppongi was soggy. I was warned by coworkers not to eat their jampong because it wasn’t good so i never ordered that. The tangsooyuk has very little meat. Not worth the money. Despite the below average food, what really did it this time were the waitresses and owner lady who could care less about us. We had been waiting for over 10 minutes and had to call the busboy over to give us some tea and water while the tables that came after us got drinks immediately. They even got some of their dishes before us and dumplings on the house! I(politely) complained to our waitress after trying to overlook these things and she put on a little innocent act as if she had no idea. She just said«Please be patient your food is coming out soon ok?» Unbelieveable! Long story short, everyone at my table was completely turned off by this and we decided to never come back. Unfortunate for them, we(my friends/coworkers/family) will no longer be their customers!

Great Korean Chinese food. First time we came, the food was really flavorful but the second time was a bit more bland. The quantity they give you is good. I would definitely recommend this place.

good food overall. I had jja jang myun and wife had seafood jjam ppong. I gave it 4 stars because of the location. It just didn’t feel very comfortable. Felt really crowded and waiters were not very attentive.

My favorite Korean Chinese cuisine in NJ. BYOB. Their Gan Jjajang(noodle w/black been sauce Premium), Samsun Jjam Ppong(Spicy seafood noodle premium), TangSoo Yuk(sweet sour pork or beef) and Kkam Poong Ki(Garlic chicken) are the best in NJ. Their Nan Ja Wan su(meat ball) Fried dumpling and Spicy garlic chicken(Na Jo Gi) are above average. I’ve tried others, but rest are just above average. The lady owner is very sweet and nice! Food: 4 stars Décor: 3.5 stars Price: 4.5 stars Service: 4 stars

The delivery came quickly but the driver was terribly confused about how to use the intercom. The spicy jajangmyun was great and perfectly spicy with an awesome amount of onions in the sauce. I wish they had a seafood version. The shrimp fried rice needed a little more salt but otherwise I loved the quality of ingredients and that it was oily. The gampoonghee was great with strong garlic. I’d definitely delivery from here again.

Bought the Unilocal coupon $ 20 worth for $ 10! Food tasted clean and fresh. Got the spicy jajangmyun and it was perfect. Tang soo yook was average. we like to get the sauce on the side so that it doesn’t get soggy. Service was good. but very cheap with the dan moo ji(pickled radish)… had to ask for a refill 3 times.

There are many Chinese Korean restaurants in palisades park and honestly let’s be real, they allserve the same food and when people go they only really get like 4 dishes. It’s always either jjajangmyun, jjampong, and some kind of dish to share like tangsooyook or ggampongki. So to really judge a Chinese Korean restaurant, you really have to judge by how they make these essentials. Out of these the only thing that I wasn’t blown away by was their jjajangmyun but everything else is really good. Ahwoorang is nice because they have a parking lot and tlj is right downstairs for dessert afterwards. Don’t park and go away cause they have cameras ready to tow!

Get the spicy jjajangmyun… you won’t regret it! I dare to say that this is the best jjm i’ve had in the states. It still doesn’t top over seoul but within the states, definitely #1 I’ve tried. I highly recommend this place!

Jjajangmyun! Jjajangmyun! Jjajangmyun! I would say this is the best Jjajangmyun I’ve had in Bergen County. Sauce has a really great consistency and served separately in a small bowl so you can control how much sauce you want(I always use them all up cos it’s too good). Parking situation is a bit complicated though. I wish they put up a sign when the basement parking is full because it’s so hard to get out after finding that you can’t find parking in there

Best jja-jang-myun in Pal Pk… and I’m a jja-jang-myun addict too. The other dishes are mehhh, but if you just want a good comfort food bowl of noodles, this is the place to be.

Solid jajangmyun here. Sauce is thicker than most other places in the area. Lots of onions and meat in the sauce. I’ve only tried their boiled dumplings here but they were fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. Got a Unilocal deal on here so you can’t go wrong with getting $ 20 worth of food for $ 10.

I would recommend gan jjajang at Ah Woo Rang. It is an extra dollar worth paying for. While jja jang myun comes out with a sauce already made in large batches, the chef prepares a separate order of fresh sauce and serve separately from the noodles. Before enjoying the noodle dishes, we enjoyed 5 other entrees(chicken, shrimp, sea cucumber & pork, beef). Overall the food tasted good but it was not excellent. It would be helpful to note that their portions were much smaller than comparable restaurants. We were disappointed by how small the portions were and ended up ordering two more entrees. Every time we needed a refill for water, tea, and side dishes, we had to call the wait staff multiple times. I hope they would make the dining experience more comfortable and easy for their customers.

I tried this place and had jajangmyun with fried pork with sweet sauce(Tang Sooyook). It was not bad. Jajangmyun wasn’t too salty or too bland. it also had good amount of veggie and meat chunk(which I always like). pork was well fried and the sweet sauce was adequate. Another plus for this place was that the servers were very attentive. REstaurant was quite clean even though it could have been because the building itself was relatively new.

Big stomachache after eating here. I got the black bean noodle and fried rice… Their prices aren’t that cheap either. The service is decent

Dinner with GF. Ok maybe it’s because we both haven’t had chajangmyun and tangsooyuk in a while… but our dinner was mad good We ordered the chajangmyun, which had a consistent(not too soggy/not too thick) black bean sauce. I like how they chopped and minced the meat and veggies. The tangsooyuk was also pretty good, as we almost finished the whole thing. This beast is large enough to feed 3 – 4 people as an appetizer. The sweet and sour sauce drizzled over the crunchy deep fried pork pieces were very good. A good mixture of the two and well balanced, without over-drenching the sauce. I swear, we couldn’t get up for an hour after finishing our meal… and sat there trying to de-bloat ourselves. Service was also very exceptional, as different waiters(as well as the manager) came by numerous times to refill water and replace side dishes without us requesting.

Yum! I came here with a few family members for a really early dinner. Jjajangmyun is one of my favorites so I can be pretty picky but the sauce was really good. It was chunky and full of veggies and meat and super flavorful. The noodles were also delicious but they weren’t hand-pulled which disappointed me a bit. They were still good(and fettuccine shaped). We also ordered a kkampoongi dish to share. The pieces of chicken were crispy and moist but the sauce was just so-so. It wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to. My favorite part were the string beans that were mixed in. The staff all wear these weird green berets, which I thought was a little weird, but kind of cute, I guess. They were really attentive, but we were also one of two parties in the restaurant. It’s on the smaller side so I could see it being busier at peak hours.

This place serves pretty good ‘jajamein’(black bean noodles) The problem I can think of is that its on a second floor. Its kinda empty most time with only 2 – 3 table during lunch service on a Saturday. The sweet and sour /garlicy shrimp is really good. The sauce can wake the dead! I’d try come back if I am ever around the area. There is plenty of street parking. The bathroom is not located inside the restaurant but shared in the hallway.

How you judge a Korean /Chinese restaurant is by their jja jang myun which I refer to as Korean /Chinese Spaghetti. The Korean version is made with black bean sauce and typically loaded with onions and or chives. I would tend to agree with others that the jja jung myun is decent /average. These types of places typically do not have much if any veggie dishes. With the exception of the noodle dishes everything else is family style and most entrees start in and around $ 19 bucks. If you frequent these types of restaurants you tend to only see people eating the noodle dishes and the deep fried pork dish that I posted a pic of. Nothing special its your typical run of the mill Korean /Chinese place. I would save a place like this for a casual lunch if you are looking for a carb fix. I thought there service was meh…
