I am not a Korean bbq novice and this was not my first time at this restaurant. I don’t know if management changed(new menu) but it’s very different from our last visit. We were missing several dishes(seasoned onions, both soups, after dinner yogurt) and I had to keep asking for things. Inexcusable, other tables with Korean patrons had everything. We won’t be back

I just had a dinner here. I was dying to eat some Korean food. The food was great. We had two black pork belly and sooyook. It was delicious and enough for both of us. However, the service wasn’t fully satisfying. The waitresses seemed like exhausted. Well. she wasn’t friendly at all. She treated us like she doesn’t care any customers coming in or not. It was great dinner with my love here. The food is great I say again.
Most of the reviews seem old, but I came with my guard down anyway. There must’ve been quite some change bc this place was no bueno. My first visit was about 6 years ago– I’m quite sure it had a different name but the interior was just a large open space with a lot of seats and no booths. Now? It’s smaller, high booths– making it difficult to find waitstaff, and the décor/lighting is just SOOO awkward. The liquor store is attached and while I was under the impression that you can BYOB from its own liquor store, the woman at the front said no. There’s racks of cigarettes at the front desk. That woman at the front and the rest of the waitstaff were seriously unfriendly. I expect this from most Chinese and Korean restaurants but this was even below the standard bs unfriendliness. It was also 90% packed by people 60 and over. I don’t discriminate but it created a weird atmosphere– bumping kpop in the background– being drowned out by old drunk men. We arrived 15 minutes before 7pm, which is the cutoff time for HH. Not impressed with their menu… There’s not much they offer. If you’re BBQ-ing, that’s a different story, but we didn’t want to wait for a BBQ table. BBQ is also self service– HUH??? Even Picnic Garden, which is a BUFFET, grills platters for you! Our food also all came out in a really random fashion and the food was soooooo unimpressive. Just thought I’d try it out but never again. I posted the menu so take a look– IFYOU’REKOREAN. No English menu– sowee. Forgot to take a pic of the egg rolls(gerran maree) — totally not worth $ 13… It’s just eggs(which were prolly old) with bits of spam and topped with some cheese. UGH. Waste of calorie intake. Another big no-no: the connected liquor store’s BRIGHTFLUORESCENTLIGHTCLASHESWITHTHERESTAURANT’S OVERALLDARKLIGHTINGWITHGREENNEONACCENTSTOEXTREMES. Every time I looked up, I was reminded of the odd existence of an open liquor store I couldn’t understand the point of– you can’t buy liquor there and bring it in. never again.
