Carmine’s Ocean Grill and Sushi Bar

The service and the decoration are very charming. Animation guaranteed if you order a «menu» including meat or scallops.

Took my mother out to dinner here on several occasions the staff is friendly and nice. This made the service experience enjoyable, however the waiting seems to be pretty long lately after we order the meal it takes them a while to get back to us. However the food is great. Love their calamari and lobster bomb roll.

I am a yearly visitor of the palm beach area, I make sure to hit Carmine’s at least once. The sushi is as good as you can find. The drinks are second to none and just a good atmosphere. The owner is there working his tail off all night ! Will be a frequent visitor as long as it is around.

I love Carmine’s Ocean Grill — the service is always great and the sushi is amazing. Really nice happy hour until 6 on food and drinks in the bar area. The bar area over looks the water — definitely recommend sitting outside on a nice night! The restaurant does get quiet full so it’s always a good idea to make a reservation on Open Table before heading over. Also, make sure to check out Groupon as there are often deals on there.

Friends went there last night. Bad experience. Food was cold, service was poor. Many more ugly details but you get the point. Many other good choices in the area so don’t waste your time or money.

Groundhogs day. I keep hoping that it will change but it never does.

The Ceasar salad I ordered with dressing on the side was mayo based. Pass. Ugh. There was almost no cheese grated or otherwise so it basically turned into some chopped up greens on a plate.
Drinks were sooo slow to arrive at the table, showing up after the appetizers. We had to actually ask where they were along with the silverware.
Service was friendly but slow which is standard here and shouldn’t be as the management should know based on experience how to staff especially during high season.
Don’t come here for sushi either.
This place is really only good for people watching and a bit of music on Thursday nights.

Long wait for a table but food was pretty good. Husband had sushi and I had sea bass special. Generous portions but not the most delicious food ever. Very long wait for food to arrive. Ok

In West Palm Beach for company meeting. Love the outside patio… food and service was excellent. Sliders and flat bread pizza was great!

Wow what an amazing evening!!! From the food to the service, everything was spectacular! Matthew was our waiter, and he made our evening great! He was so helpful and provided such a nice evening. The hostess was also so accommodating when we asked to switch tables, when our original table had noisy neighbors. What a luxurious dining experience! I highly recommend!!!

Great drinks, great food, great service, great ambience! Definitely recommend the wagyu burger for all the non-​seafood eaters (like myself). Our bartender Sylvia couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Great service! Outstanding Chilean Sea Bass. Get here before the snowbirds do! We chose indoor seating as it was a chance of rain on the deck. Everything was really good.

We have been to the Ocean Grill many many times because the food and service was special. We had an OK rather than a good experience last year and held off returning. We went the other evening and the entire experience was awful. We stood at the entry podium and waited close to 2 minutes before someone greeted us. Mistake #1.
The restaurant was not very busy. Upon being seated we were greeted by a bus boy who brought us water, bread and menus.
It was a good 10 minutes before we saw a server in our area. As it was, the server was asking the table of 4 right next to us for their drink order. That table of 4 came in 5 minutes after we did. MISTAKE #2.
I stood up and spoke to the wait person telling her we were there before the other table. Within a minute she came over and told us she would get someone for us. Two to three minutes later another waiter, with I assume a supervisor, who was standing over his shoulder while we asked for wine. We also told them we were ready to order. We ordered edamame as an appetizer and 3 sushi rolls.
It was another 10 minutes before the appetizer was delivered. Finally, one hour and five minutes after we entered the restaurant our food was delivered to our table. MISTAKE # 3.
If this was not bad enough the rice in the sushi rolls was refrigerator cold. We’ve NEVER had sushi ANYWHERE where the rice was cold. Who wants to eat cold food for dinner. That was the final MISTAKE #4.
From beginning to end the evening was a complete disaster. We will never return to the Ocean Grill again.

Last night was my 1^st time eating at this restaurant with my family, and although their food is good the experience and service was severely lacking. When we were greeted by our server she began to tell us of the specials and happy hour drinks being 50% off. At that time I had informed her that we had a Groupon, but that we would be spending the total amount of the Groupon on food (there were 3 of us and their food is priced higher than average. With Apps, Entrees, and Desserts we knew we would go over the Groupon amount by at least $ 20 or more.) I mentioned all of this to her and had asked that since our Groupon was to be used on the food purchase we would like to order 2 drinks for the Happy Hour price, which we would pay above the Groupon amount or even separately if it was an issue. She started to argue with me about it, and I didn’t feel as though she was really listening or understanding what I was saying, so I had asked for a manager. The manager then condescendingly starts explaining to me how a «Groupon» works and how they barely make any money off it and how he cannot combine specials, etc. (Again not understanding that I had no intention of combining my Groupon with any discounts, I was more than happy to pay more for our drinks but I just wanted the special price like every other paying customer at their establishment. I literally wanted to spend more money at their restaurant.) It was obvious that we were being targeted and treated differently because of the fact that we had a coupon. This set the tone for the rest of our dinner and made it a completely unenjoyable experience. Extremely disappointing because I had really been looking forward to eating here with my family for awhile. The manager did finally let us order 1 round of drinks for the happy hour price (which is all at I had asked for from the begining), but at that point I had already felt completely disgusted with their customer service. A truly horrible experience, and of course I still tipped our server over 20% because that’s just proper dining etiquette and she was probably only following her managers protocol. So many great sushi places out there, do not waste your money here unless you want to be treated disrespectfully.

Been one of my favorite places to come since moving to florida. The happy hour is phenomenal and the bar staff is exceptional.

A very relaxing atmosphere with Motown music, Great food and very friendly staff. A beautiful evening with my lovely wife.

Upon entering we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Our waiter was very attentive and gave us honest and helpful recommendations on the dishes we were deciding between. The ambience is very intimate and trendy, perfect for a date night.
The spicy mac and cheese (without bacon) was delicious! The cheese sauce tastes very gourmet and and the jalapeño added the perfect amount of spice and really provides for a unique take on a classic dish.
The crunchy grouper with mango salsa and beurre blanco sauce was dynamite. The combination of flavors is the perfect mix of salty and sweet. The parmesan crusted grouper with spinach and escarole was also amazing. The grouper on both dishes was cooked to perfection.
Highly recommend!

This restaurant is amazing. Perfect atmosphere for finer dining and relaxation! Their food is unbelievable. The service is marketable. Sushi that melts in your mouth. Fresh catches that you dream about. Amazing wine and cocktails. I always come here when trying to impress my family members, and always recommend to folks in the area looking for a great place to eat. Don’t forget to check out their market too! And the view is amazing! Complementary valet :)

Carmine’s Ocean Grill has been one of our favorites the past two years. The food is always outstanding as is the service.
The owner, Pang, will always go out of his way to make you feel welcome and make sure you have a great experience.
The sushi at Carmine’s is fantastic and is as fresh as can be. All the other seafood dishes I’ve tried have been really good as well.
If you want an enjoyable evening in a marina type setting, look no further. You won’t be disappointed.

Brio’s at the Gardens Mall was absolutely beyond packed so I suggested Carmine’s down the road. I think I was in here once for a drink and got it mixed up with the other Carmine’s restaurant next door-​how many Carmine’s are there? And so many different styles… I mean really, Google Carmine’s. Anyway we sat down and the service was very quick and attentive but we quickly realized this was not the «Italian» style Carmine’s (geez!) we were looking for. My friend doesn’t eat fish so the helpful server showed him the shrimp scampi and so we stayed-​I secretly didn’t want to. He said his was good and I got the crusty grouper over mashed potatoes and I think that was all that was on the plate for $ 29.00. I’m not a big fan of mashed potatoes unless they come with meatloaf so to have a piece of fish on top was weird. The bread rolls that come with dinner were the standard type you would buy in bulk and heat up («hot from the oven!» said the server). My friend got crusty bread for the scampi-​why can’t they just serve that? I was jealous-​lol! All-​in-​all, it was a pleasant dinner but as we walked along the marina I wistfully looked over at the «Italian» Carmine’s and wished we had left the «Seafood» Carmine’s when we the chance.
As an aside: I read a few reviews about Groupon/​coupon issues and our server asked us if we had any type of a coupon after over-​zealously telling us about the awesome specials. I mean he literally paused like, «oops, maybe they’re ‘those types’ «. I think there’s a problem here…
