We had tea at the Café des Beaux-Arts in conjunction with a visit to the Flagler Museum. Lovely house, certainly worth a visit for a glimpse of bygone days. On to the café: it’s situated in a bright, open pavilion next to the museum with water views. Service was attentive and professional. If food is an important element, though, I’d make another choice. My sister and I felt it was mediocre. The assortment included innocuous little sandwiches, undistinguished pastries and«Devon-style clotted cream» that turned out to be very sweet whipped cream. A bit of a disappointment!

This is in the Flagler Museum’s Solarium, a beautiful setting. They serve a light lunch with customary tea-sandwiches, tea and lemonade, daily from 11:30 to 2:30, Tuesday –Saturday and 12noon– 3:00pm on Sunday. I recently came here with a group of woman to tour the museum. The tour was excellent! The lunch and tea service was the perfect setting for a day out with the ladies. The tea is a black tea blend developed especially for the Flagler Museum.
