I have attended many, many local festivals in the Coachella Valley, which have varied wildly in admission price. A Miracle on El Paseo is easily head and shoulders above every other festival I have attended. Part of El Paseo is blocked off for the event, which included music, appetizers(both passed and available for pick-up at tables) from nearby restaurants, and multiple open bars sponsored by Lu Lu’s. There was also a «tree lighting» ceremony emceed by ice skating legend Dorothy Hamill. All of this for $ 50! Suggestions for improvement: the local youth dance club who performed during the event were, well, just not very good. There may have been some«porta potties» located somewhere, but if there were, I didn’t see them, and could have used one. Would also have been nice if Ms. Hamill would have stuck around a bit after the tree lighting and worked the crowd a little, but she was whisked away almost immediately.
