Nice selection of quality frames and sunglasses to choose from… name brand as well as mainstream.
Friendly and helpful staff… like the convenient location next to shops and stores… most of the time plenty of parking but can be crowded because of Shermans Deli, Papa Dans and that Custom ice cream shop next door too!
Like that they have a partial lab on site… lens popped out of one of my frames and they were able to help me same day!

I had a wonderful experience here. I am new to the desert and looked to Unilocal to find a new eye doctor. The reviews were right, Dr. Ho and the staff are great! They made me feel right at home. I had lots of questions for both the doctor and the staff and they were so knowledgeable and patient with me. I learned more about my eyes than anywhere I’ve been before. I love the glasses I chose and can’t wait to bring my wife and kids. I could tell that they really made a great impression on all their patients as they seem to all want to hug and greet the doctor. It’s a really warm and positive environment!

stupid me because I scratched my eye with my mascara wand and felt the pain going through my eye ball! Dr. Ho was able to fit me in right away. She put a protective lense in and gave me antibiotic eye drop and I felt so good afterwards I wanted to hug her! Thank you so much Dr. Ho. I also noticed she has some cool frames I will be sure to check it out once I need new frames! I will definitely come back here again for my eye care need.

Brought in a close friend for an exam and since it had been 7 years it was definitely about time. DrHo and staff were extremely thorough n helpful… apparently the prior place my friend went to was just an optical shop that may have fit glasses n contacts improperly without a doctors exam. Just possibly based on autorefraction only… do like the quality selections available as well as the knowledgeable staff

First time at Desert Eye Works, the pre-​exam testing was done by I think an intern-​thats what I thought he was because of his lack of feeling comfortable and knowledge. I asked him what the doctors name was and he did not know. Dr. Ho was helpful, she said I had a depth perception problem based on the young guys test and I should of asked for a retake by her doing it so my confidence was low. Dr. Ho recommended driving glasses and reading glasses to adjust my left eye depth perception problem so she introduced me to Tammy to fit for glasses who said I need three pairs. I do not wear glasses because I have had eye corrective surgery, but I got the feeling Tammy who was nice was really just trying to sell glasses. I have the cadillac VSP plan but Tammy did not have reading glasses under $ 130 or only had two pairs. The pairs she was showing me were over $ 200. I decided before spending a few hundred to pause and left to figure it out. I went over to Dr. Lawrence Watson accross from McCallum Theater and they had over 50 glasses under $ 100 and found a great pair and it costs me nothing because insurance paid for the whole thing. They also measured my distance and gave it to me & suggested I order on line for sunglasses to save money. Dr. Lawrence office staff were honest, helpful and everyone very competent.

What a great experience. Junior at the front and pre exam, the doctor and the fitting of the eye glasses for my 7 year old were all so sweet, patient and helpful !! Such a great find here in the desert.

Easy going staff. Affordable and some not so affordable frames. They accommodate all budgets.

I highly recommend Dr. Ho and EyeWorks. Dr. Ho is an outstanding professional and an exceptionally personable individual. She and her staff make sure you feel welcome and understand all the tests and results. The Eyeworks office is a beautiful environment and offers a large selection of glasses at reasonable price points. Dr. Ho also works closely with a nearby pharmacy to help get prescriptions filled quickly and afordably. Dr. Ho goes above and beyond to take care of your eyes and vision health.

I learned more about my eyes and previous prescription in the first visit than in over 30 years anywhere else! Dr. Ho explains in great detail your issues as well as the best course of action regarding your new prescription including the best type of lens, frame suggestions to support the weight of the lens, etc. She is great!
The office staff (Simon & Rico) are very professional and courteous. When I picked up my new glasses they felt a little off but I knew that my prescription was very different for one eye so it was suggested by Simon that I try them out and let my one eye adjust so I took them and left. The next day I decided to return and spoke with Rico. He pulled my chart, checked the prescription and explained the problem (it is not my glasses), made frame adjustments to both pair of glasses and now everything is great.
They are not the least expensive place for frames and lens but I believe that you also get what you pay for… or should anyway so Desert Eyeworks is now my Optometry office.

I had an eye exam here last year and struggled all year to see with the contacts and glasses they prescribed for me. I still didn’t see well and made several office visits to have them correct the prescriptions but they kept insisting «this is what I need»! I decided to go to a new eye doctor this year and found out they indeed did have my prescription wrong! I see so much better now!

I’ve had bad eyes my whole life, so I’ve Ben to many an eye doctor, and Dr. Ho is by far the best! She’s so skilled & friendly! Everyone in the office is a pleasure to work with. I will never go anywhere else!

This place is the most unethical place with the worst service I have ever seen. The doctor misdiagnosed my vision giving my contacts which left me completely unable to read up close and I am in graduate school. It cost me about $ 1000 all in all to change to her idea and when I found out I couldn’t see one thing up close I about died. I am in graduate school and spend about 90% of my life reading which she knew. When I called to say this was not working for me they tried to argue with me saying this is what the doctor wants, I don’t care what this doctor wants it is my life and I need to read up close. Then they wouldn’t refund my money even though I returned all the boxes of contacts they sold me. I am going to report them to the board of optometry.

I loved my experience here. The staff and doctor were so warm and friendly. I had some trouble at the previous place i went to… so I had alot of questions and they patiently answered all of them and were so helpful. I’ve had so many compliments on my new glasses… I cant wait to get my new sunglasses this week. I will definitely make this place my home.

Dr. Ho is one of the few optometrists I’ve been to that was able to correctly diagnose my astigmatism and she didn’t try to up sell me on unnecessary expensive tests, which I’ve also experienced. Staff was friendly and helpful.
She very honest and professional and I’m very happy with my glasses and trust her with my vision. They have a wide selection of frames and lens options. Prices can be high depending on what you select, but you get what you pay for.

I picked up both my sunglasses and progressive glasses today and could see so much clearer with Dr. Ho s new prescription. This is the first time im wearing progressives and the opticians made sure they fit comfortably and properly before letting me take them. she also taught me how to look through the lenses properly. I am very happy with my experience here. she gave me advice as to how to care for them and clean them too!

Can’t complain this place was AWESOME.
Great staff and very informative and can’t see me going to another place thanks to Unilocal I found my Optometrist.
