Port of Subs

Look its typical fastfood service, hit and miss. Im willing to put up with the possibility of 4 minutes of slight inconvenience because i have NEVER left hungry or disappointed. The Ingredients are better than any other comparable sandwich shop in the area and the price is right.

I have been three or four times… they were my new fave here in the Coachella Valley. But the last two trips kind of grossed me out and I won’t be back.
The prior visit, the head guy there took a ten minute smoke break puffing away like mad and covering himself and his hands with billows of smoke then went behind the counter to make my sandwich (had cellophane gloves on though… but still…)
Today, I went in there and he was quickly building (in layers) my sandwich, while talking to me and as I looked to my right to glance at the soda machine he nonchalantly peeled off three layers and threw them in the trash then rebuilt it and didn’t think I saw it… okay, wtf was THAT all about??? A hair, a bug, a boog, blue fuzz… what? I’m just seriously grossed out and won’t go back again… that bothered me.

This place is clean and has decent service. However, their sandwiches are horrible. The quality of meat is low, the bread was semi-​stale, and there was no flavor to the vegetables and Meats. I would definitely not recommend this place.

So fresh and good. I always get the #5, smoked ham with smoked cheddar and turkey. One of these days, I’ll branch out. Lots of condiments available to add spice and flavor, and the sandwich ingredients are cut to order while you wait. Casual atmosphere.

Sorry but I was very disappointed. My husband told me it was great here! Got here and the girl behind the counter didn’t want to make our philly sandwich cause asthma! The ingredients were dried out and the sandwich bar looked awe full and old YUK!

Over priced and worst subs ever. Meatball sub was cold and the hot pastrami was cold and fatty. Yuck! Save yourself time and money and go to the subway down the street.

Seriously?!! 3.5 stars? I think not!
The fact that I have to give it a star is the ONLY reason why I gave it a star at all! I asked for a roast beef with cheddar and the guy made me the THINNEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER SEEN. Hardly any meat at all and SMOKED cheddar cheese which I did not ask for. YUK! I didn’t want to get any toppings because everything looked stale or brown. No thanks, never coming here again.

subs couldve been a bit more flavorful I thought

OMG vomit!!! I went in at 10:35 on Thursday to grab my lunch for the day to go. I hadn’t eaten dinner the night before so I was starving. When I looked at the toppings, i was disgusted. The avocado was mostly brown so I wasn’t adding that. The lettuce looked old, the mayo was glassy, I was hard pressed to find anything edible looking beyond the tomato which looked freshly cut.
I got a plain turkey, Swiss, & pastrami with tomato. Then I grabbed a bag of Fritos.
In the car I was suddenly overcome by hunger & opened the Fritos. Stale! Extremely Stale! So much so that I checked the freshness date: Aug 26 2004… Uhhhh
That was 10yrs ago! WTH!!!
Have they had these chips in a time capsule with the avocado??? Freakin’ Groooossss

I have only been here once, but the turkey, avocado, & bacon sub I had was outstanding. I put some hot sauce on it at home & will ask for hot peppers the next time I go.
Service is quick & the subs are priced fairly. One sub was lunch & dinner for me.
