We came across Sherman’s on our first visit to PSP last year. It was on the top of our list to repeat this visit. Great service and truly amazing food! Once again our expects were exceeded and our taste buds tantalized!

Ordered two pieces of cheese cake to go. Cake was excellent but not worth the price of $ 15.01.

I would give this place five stars — I love the food and our server was really amazing considering that we had 11 people and showed up on a Sunday morning. Sandra went above and beyond to keep everyone in our group happy. The one star I took off was for the RUDE and very loud woman named Alice that was the hostess. My husband was trying to get past a bunch of people loitering in the door way(on his way to the bathroom) and ALICE yelled at him to clear the door area. People turned around and walked out and LEFTTHEPROPERTY. The entire time my party sat outside eating, Alice would open the door and yell peoples names. No I don’t mean saying someones name loud I mean yell like she was pissed off at people for not standing at attention and waiting for her to let them in to eat.

I am comparing this to the other location, which I give 5 stars. This place is smaller with a one-person bathroom. The tables and booths are tiny and crowded. There is none of the ambiance of the original Sherman’s in Palm Springs. My favorite sandwich was even smaller.

Shermans is our most favorite place for breakfast and or lunch when we visit the palm dessert area. The food and desserts are the best. Large portions enough for splitting or to bring home.

I called to see if there would be a wait since we were on a tight schedule and would be there in 10 mins. The hostess on the phone said there was a 15 – 20 min wait and I asked if we could be put on the list so we wouldn’t have to wait too long. She said no as the entire party had to be there to be on the wait list — I explained that if we were not there in 10 mins and they called our name just pass on to the next name. She was so rude and snotty it was a true turn off. This call ahead wait list is very common in Dallas so we were surprised by this«policy». Now would never go here anyway. There are tons of great restaurants in this area. Wilma and Frieda’s is awesome!

Two days in a row, my co-worker and I ate breakfast at this location. The food was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. The service was also very good and would recommend this location to anyone in the area who’s hungry.

Top notch NY Jewish Delis are hard to come by in Socal, and I certainly didn’t expect to find one in Palm Desert. However, I was lucky to have been tipped off to Sherman’s by a coworker who goes to the Palm Springs area often. OK, this place has all the comfort food favorites, and a bakery serving fresh pies and cakes. I ordered a combo corn beef and pastrami potato latke sandwich. Amazing! They used the latkes instead of bread for the sandwich, which was a very nice twist. And BTW, the latkes are awesome, maybe the best I’ve had. The pastrami and corn beef was excellent. Probably better than Langer’s and Canter’s Delis in Los Angeles, and would be right at home back east in a NYC neighborhood. Had some of my wife’s corned beef hash, which was also top notch. Everything was so good, all the way down to the pickles and sauerkraut. Looking for homemade style jewish comfort food in the desert area? Look no further than Sherman’s. They also have a location in Palm Springs, which is the original.

I grew up in the desert and coming to Sherman’s when we visit is always a huge treat!!! We came tonight with a group of my friends from out of town and it did not disappoint! The food is amazing! The desserts are to DIE for and our server, Lori, was one of the best I have ever had at any restaurant around! Thank u Sherman’s Deli for decades of yummy food and great service!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Sherman’s Palm Springs. The Palm Desert location is a bit annoying. Maybe it’s a retirement community thing, but the patrons here are downright surly. Right off the bat you drive into a very small parking lot in an inconvenient end of a strip mall. I was caught in a three way Mexican standoff in the parking lot, fighting for an open spot. Long story short, I won. The Food — Be sure to get here are the Early Bird Dinner Specials(13.95). My choice was the Roast Brisket of Beef — DINNERINCLUDES: Choice of Soup or Garden Salad, Baked Potato, Cottage Fries or Homemade Mashed Potatoes and Mixed Vegetable These early bird dinners are a great deal if you also want to try one of Sherman’s soups. Their soups are just too expensive when purchased alone. They were also very generous with the Brisket. Very good meal! — Desserts are terrific! Good for sharing and very moist. — Pickles and Sauerkraut provided with your meal. — Hostess wasn’t exactly smiles either. — Bathrooms are one at a time. Not enough especially with all the elderly clientele. Tip They have standard yellow mustard tableside but I noticed better mustards and condiments back in the prep area. You have to ask for those. Even leaving the place there were jerk-offs in the parking lot. It’s unfortunate that my first and last impressions of this place made me angry.

I recently relocated to Palm Desert from Long Beach and have been looking for a deli to go to. Need I look no further. Sherman’s deli is my new spot. I ordered the Reuben Stacker which had corn beef and pastrami, it was delicious! It came with a side of potato salad that was good as well. The service was great and everyone was nice. I am excited to go back to try of their baked goods.

Sherman’s Deli is a local treasure! The service is kind and attentive. I felt like family coming in for a visit. My most recent server Sandra was amazing! Despite how packed the restaurant was, I felt like her only guest. The food is worth it’s weight in gold! Sandwiches are towering with meat that tastes fresh and flavorful. I have finally found a place with great pastrami in California. I have also enjoyed the rare roast beef sandwich. So many places give you that brown, dry sliced stuff. This roast beef takes me back to the deli of my childhood with juicy flavor that is red like it should be. The only dessert I have had is the fruit tart. This is my new favorite sweet. The surprise of a chocolate she’ll in the crust is the perfect touch. Thank you for giving the desert this amazing food and service.

The inside of the dinner looked a bit dated and looked a little like the dinner in Pulp Fiction. This review is based solely on the cakes. We ordered the carrot cake and the San Jacinto cake which is like a cheese cake put between two chocolate cakes. Both cakes were awesome and if you weren’t diabetic you better check your sugar after eating these cakes. The carrot cake still taste great the second day but the San Jacinto cake was dry the second day. The cake alone is well worth the trip.
