Great hike. This is well marked, parking is easy and the trail is steady with great views. It took about 20⁄30 minutes the top and leaves you with a nice sense of peace. Highly recommend.

Did this trail with friends. Good cardio/fat burning workout as the first couple inclines really get the heart pumping.

The hike is simple trail for a good cardio workout. Dog friendly, no bathroom or water stations. Take this one off my list.

Another great hike Takes about 90 minutes to the cross and back. What I don’t understand is why people decorate the bushes near the cross every holiday. It seems and was confirmed by the Bighorn preservation of Rancho Mirage that the endangered big horn love shiney things and will attempt to eat them. Thus making them sick or even killing them. So maybe do all your holiday decorating at home. I’m not trying to be a party pooper just trying to Help out the endangered species.

Had a great hike yesterday. The weather was perfect. My bro and I went in the late afternoon which was good since most people hike during the day time. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the cross. My bro is out of shape but he made it. It’s a fairly easy climb for the most part with some parts being steep. It definitely gives you a good cardio work out and the view at the top is amazing. There were a couple of books at the cross where you can write in an entry. I will definitely be going back again.

I did this trail last winter.(it’s too hot in this desert any other time of the year! lol) If you are just a beginner hiker I suggest this place first before the bump and grind! Seriously though… The first 3 parts of the incline are a little tough for someone who doesn’t hike or is not used to steep climbing — or even out of shape. But after that, it’s basically walking on a straight trail. It gradually inclines when you’re closer to The Cross. I see people take their young kids up and even their dogs. One time I saw this crazy much older man on his mountain bike riding along the edge of a really narrow part of the path that just drops off the side!!! He was coming from the Hoppalong trail from the Bump and Grind. The cross is smaller than I thought it would be… There’s a dedication rock there too there! There’s also a yin and yang painted on a pad(i found it on google maps) just beyond the cross. I think it was a personal helipad for someone at some time. It’s starting to cool down, so i’m looking forward to another hike up there soon!
