Best sushi in town! My goodness it was so good. We got all you can eat and didn’t want to stop eating. Great service as well. Sushi chef was great entertainment!

The quality, presentation, and taste is on point. The combination of ingredients on the sushi is a mastered art at this place. Flavor I didn’t know existed with sashimi until I walked in here. Hands down my first place pick in the desert!

Poor service, if youre a good looking girl at the bar you’ll get your food faster. Sushi is tiny and not so filling. But I will admit sushi is high quality and tastes good. But overall would prefer others

Average sushi. Super nice staff. Sushi chefs are fun. A lot of regulars. Good side dishes. Great location. Overall for $ 30 all you eat, it’s worth trying.

Absolutely the best sushi in the desert. Staff and owner are hospitable and care very much about their service. Did I already say the sushi was the best? It is. Beyond. Soooooo good!

Staff is extremely friendly. Shin is the most amazing sushi chef. Told him what I liked and everything he made us was fabulous. Honestly the best sushi I have ever ever ever been too and I’m from LA where there is a plethora of sushi to choose from. Will be comin back every time we come to palm desert.

Went here for lunch today on a recommendation from a colleague. The sushi was awesome. The fish was fresh and tasted great. The chef, Shin was very personable and great at his craft. I highly recommend coming in.

The most amazing sushi the desert has to offer. I travel out here quite often and I’ve tried a lot of the sushi spot here but non of them compare to the quality and selection that No Ta De has to offer. Shin is a terrefic sushi artist, his skillful technic and presentation are above all expectations of desert sushi. This will be my sushi stop in this area from now on. Parking was easy too. Price is fair for the quality you recieve.

This is the best place in the valley for big, fresh cuts of fish and creative rolls. Service is friendly and attentive, and the owner Shin is a delightful guy whom you’ll often find behind the bar preparing beautiful dishes from his native Japan. I was never much for rolls, but Shin makes some gems: the M-63, with spicy tuna, avocado, tempura shrimp and crab; the B-Kevin, with salmon, avocado and tempura; the crazy g, with multiple types of tuna and crab. And the sauces are insane. Even the sushi is strong; I love the salmon sushi, which has this delicious little sprinkle of salt(maybe yuzu salt?), and the yellowtail and albacore sashimi. The all you can eat deal is a solid value and lets you explore the whole menu. I moved out to the Coachella Valley from NYC a few years ago, and was worried about sushi options. Thanks, Shin, for putting my mind at ease. Give this place a shot. You’ll be glad you did.

The sushi was so fresh, it melted like butter. Delicious! The staff was great and treated us to some specialties. The all you can eat special gives great options of sushi, sashimi, and unique contemporary rolls. Love this spot, and always try to visit when we are in town.

I was really impressed. Probably the best sushi dining experience I’ve ever had. I ate at the bar and let Shen make whatever he wanted. It was memorable. 30 for all you can eat of this quality is underpriced.

We wanted to go out for sushi, but all our usual spots were closed on Sunday night so we came to Unilocal. We came here because it was the only place open and man are we glad we did. I didn’t ask the owners name, but he was awesome. We sat at the sushi bar with our 6 and 2 year olds and he was very engaged with all of us and we had an awesome time!!! The food was so fresh and tasty, I haven’t really had sushi like we had here, he just kept handing us his unbelievable concoctions. I think we are going to have to make this place our new spot!

Our waitress was very nice & friendly. The tea and the spicy soybeans were great but that’s about it. It had a strange smell, like a really old basement. the seaweed on the rolls were very hard to chew through, and the hand rolled sushi were a mess. At 30.00 for AYCE will not be going back.

No Da Te has AYCE Tuesdays for $ 25pp! But here’s the weird thing… Everyone in your party has to do AYCE. I understand they don’t want you sliding your friends/family sushi rolls, but at the same time they should bestow a little trust into their customers. The service was quick, and friendly. No complaints. I guess I’m giving 3 stars because the restaurant smelled fishy. Plus the rolls were just ok. They weren’t bad but they didn’t wow me either. Even the roll that you’d normally pay something like $ 25 for was just ok. It has been a few weeks now since we were there, so I don’t recall the roll that I loved best, but it had hot chili oil drizzled over the top. My sister said she had been there before and the staff said they were going to charge the group for uneaten rolls during AYCE night… Not sure if that’s still the policy but that seems a little over the top. Would I go to No Da Te again? Sure.
