Going down hill. Last time we spoke to the owner’s wife how bad the service was. We were here again last Saturday. I ordered a crape and it was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The food used to be pretty good, but no longer. We have given it 3 try’s. No more. They need a new cheef and much better service.

The best food I had in Palm Springs, hands down. The service was outstanding. We were walking towards the restaurant and we got lost and we called the restaurant and the owner directed us in the right direction. We were floored when he drove towards us in he’s private car and picked us up and took us to the restaurant. Amazing . Ps. The sushi was incredible… and the ambiance was beautiful.

Wonderful meal last night. «Special» Emily was particularly helpful and engaging. The baked oysters were excellent. The Kobe sliders were done to perfection. The Seabass was to die for. The paella was the best we’ve ever had. The manager served us our excellent domain serene Yamhill Pinot. And the Hendrix martini was exceptionally smooth. All in all one of the best dining experiences we’ve had here in the valley.

Had a superb dinner here w/friends and we’ll definitely be back!!! We mainly had sushi; Don Juan roll, 808 roll, Crunchy shrimp roll & the roll… SURF&TURF :). Incredibly fantastic… best we’ve ever had!!! I like Mitch’s because the owner is always there greeting customers as they walk in, the restaurant is very clean & well-appointed, excellent service & the food is outstanding! They also have a pretty extensive menu if you’re not into sushi like; filet mignon, salmon, chicken, etc. Last but not least they have an incredible happy hour too :) It’s a must when dinning in PD!!!

Great all around spot– whatever you get will be great. Above average place you will be happy with but don’t expect a 5 star experience. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

I have only been here once and I have wanted to come back. They have indoor and beautiful outdoor seating. The food is delicious and well prepared. I don’t recommend bringing kids; it’s more of a date night or group dinner style restaurant. The location is perfect not too far from downtown el paseo.

I don’t get it. Mitch’s is tired from the décor to the menu. I could see this place being good 20 years ago, it seems to me nothing has changed since. Bar seems nice, we ate in dining room. Very tired look and feel. Service was not good. After food came out zero follow up… how is everything? Would you like fresh pepper for your salad… NOTHING! As for food itself, I had Caesar salad, watery and bland. Tuna tacos were so cold like 33 degrees thus rendering them tasteless and massively over-sauced with spicy mayo. Wife’s sushi was sub par. Mitch seems like a good host who ran a great restaurant back in the day, but is now running on fumes. P. S. Very expensive for quality.

Redone. The former Augusta restaurant lit up and shed some dark poundage. Now refreshing and positive with good vibes. The counters of cast cement cast an amber glow. Shimmering medalians greet the eye amidst golden glitter. The ceiling of found industrial objects left from Augusta remains a delight. Didn’t have a chance to sample of food but I can say that the Moscow Mule kicks a punch.

Dinner at Mitch’s…superb! I’m so glad we Unilocaled this restaurant. For starters we were greeted by our host and Mitch himself with a big smile and a welcoming connection :) the place was pretty packed on a Monday night this tells me dinner will be good. We like to try small portions of the menu so we decided to order: ½ dozen Fannybay oysters ½ dozen Kumamoto oysters Surf & Turd Sushi(lobster, crabs, avocado, a top a thin slice of love beef) yummy! Tuna tartare with mango & cucumber topped with truffle Stuffed mushrooms with crabs Ambiance: Beautiful Décor very warm Food: Savory Service: Excellent Definitely a must try! We are coming back for more!

Seriously… THE best place in the desert for sushi and seafood. I have come here several times, and it just keeps getting better and better. We just brought our foodie friends from Laguna Beach, and they fell in love. Some of the things I am in love with… the shrimp and lobster truffle fried rice, the sake marinaded black cod, the bi-colored beet salad, the Don Juan roll, the crispy rice topped with spicy tuna, the jumbo shrimp wrapped around scallops(which reminds me… I have leftovers in the fridge. yeahhh me!!), Canadian lobster tail duo!!! The list can go on forever. Service has escalated each time we go, as well. Their team is getting very sharp… loving what they do and providing the best to their guests. Amy, the server, is amazing. Even when she is busy, she is friendly and takes her time with each table. A true gem! And the addition of Mitchell is the icing on the cake. He runs the front of the house«like a boss». Welcome, Mitchell… we love you! The sushi chef comes from one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego– Roppongi in La Jolla. His talent is such a highlight in the desert. Trust me… my husband has been a sushi chef for 25 years, so we are PICKY!!! Nice to know he can go out and be on the other side for once. Mitch, you have yourself a true diamond. Go…and enjoy!

Mitch’s on El Paseo is hands down the best place in the desert for Sushi. The chef is so creative and the offerings are abundant. You will not be disappointed. The fish is FRESH and brought in from San Diego every other day. For dinner we had the Chilean Sea Bass and the Shrimp and Lobster fried rice. Delicious and again very fresh! Mitch takes great pride in his restaurant and it shows in the consistency of the dishes prepared. We have been coming here since it opened and always make it one of our stops when visiting the desert. A must!

My grandparents may have thought this was a classy joint, but my sister and I(early 30s) found it «interesting». Food was decent, but we we’re certainly the youngest in the restaurant. Can’t explain the décor, very plain. Beef Tenderloin was good, not great and the wines list was fine. Wouldn’t go back.

Came here for my birthday dinner with friends. The vibe was awesome! Love high-scale places. Makes you feel like you’re really treating yourself. I ordered the salmon which was not cooked to my liking. They gladly took it back and cooked a little more. Could have been the fact that I was a ten year vegetarian just returning to meat, but when they brought it back it was perfect. When my friends mentioned it was my birthday, they brought me a complimentary brownie and ice cream with a candle in it. The ice cream was amazing. The brownie was not only because I hate brownies, but my friend loved it. :) We sat outside on the patio and the sun was starting to set. What ambience! Would definitely return when I am back in the area. Perfect place for a hot date too! ;)

The atmosphere in this establishment is interesting. There’s lots of art everywhere, on the ceiling, the whole bar area, the walls. The chandeliers are gorgeous! Patio is somewhat intimate which is nice. The upstairs is gorgeous & the bathrooms were cute. The sushi slices were not very consistent, same with the sashimi — but it tasted good. Not sure how fresh their fish is, but it seemed very fresh. Cocktails were good — Moscow Mules are a must. They have a very nice selection of vodkas as well as wine. Cute names for some of the cocktails, the Bubbles one was very tasty. Service was mediocre, staff seemed a little unfriendly and zoned out which is unfortunate because it is a nice restaurant.
