My wife and I were in Palm Springs for a business seminar. We decided to make the 30 minute drive to the Kaiser Grille in Palm Desert, and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. We are from Riverside, Ca and I wish we could find a place like the Kaiser Grille in our area. We ate the Hanger Steak & Pork Chop from the Sunset Specials. Our experience the first night convinced us to go back a second night. The owner mingles among the clients, which is cool. Service was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the music.

Service was good. Food was mediocre but unimaginative especially for the prices.

We visited Kaiser Grille for the first time in January 2016. We liked it a lot. The food was very good and since we dined on Wednesday(half-price wine night) it was extremely good value for money. We had to have the bill brought to us 3 times to correct errors but everyone was good-natured about it so it didn’t impact the experience.

We had a wonderful dinner served by Bryan, our excellent waiter. I had a delicious Mojito before dinner. strong and yummy. The lamb chops were nicely flavored and we ordered our favorite truffle fries. Bryan, our server, was very attentive to our special requests.

First time eating at this restaurant during our stay in the area. I love that the food is sustainable and hormone or antibiotic free and it sure was delicious. Service was extremely attentive and pleasant.

Delicious steak and decently priced. Great ambiance. The servers were on top of it and friendly. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area.

The prim rib sandwich is a «dip», not slices of medium rare prime rib. Still good! (This review was from July 2015. Not sure why its posted now!)

We had a great night for our first time here. Sat at the bar to eat with a great bartender Jennifer. Full menu is available at the bar. Got lucky as it was wine Wednesday so all wine was half off, bottles and glasses. Ate the Ahi Tuna Poke appetizer and the macadamia encrusted Mahi Mahi. Both were fabulous. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I don’t know how it was so easy to get in on New Year’s Eve but we did! On those«special nights» you always expect things to be less than they might normally be. Everything was amazing from the hostess, the server and our dinners. The lamb was delicious as was the wedge salad. Only detraction was the crème brûlée, more of a overly sweet pudding. Even with dessert we could not eat, I am still giving 5 stars. PS They called the next day to beside we enjoyed our experience. I was so impressed I didn’t have the heart to tell them the brûlée was terrible.

I am just getting around to writing my reviews from a 2 week trip down Palm Desert and southern California I took over Christmas and New Years 2015⁄16. I went there on Christmas Eve for an early dinner. I did have a reservation. The staff was wonderful from the hostess to the bus staff to our waitress Amber who really went out of her way to make our dinner special . I had the Fresh Mussels for an appetizer and they were some of the best mussels I’ve had in a long time. I was the only wine drinker so I didn’t want to order a bottle. They had a decent selection of wines by the glass which were priced in line with most places of this type. They do have a Happy Hour and an early 3 course Sunset Dinner that looked great and was very reasonable for such a nice restaurant. If I lived there I definitely would be back to try many more things on their menu.

First time at this Kaiser location, and was very pleased with our experience. We arrived for our 5:45pm reservation and were seated right away, in an area far enough away from the music to be able to enjoy an intimate conversation yet still enjoy the singing. Excellent food(we both had the rib-eye, cooked perfectly), and nice ambience with live music and friendly, helpful staff. We had brought our favorite«special occasion» wine, and the restaurant has a very reasonable corkage fee. While the meal was outstanding, I was particularly impressed with the manager’s response to our after-dinner dilemma. We had tickets to the theatre which I somehow managed to leave at home. I could reprint the tickets, but did not have enough time to locate a public computer and printer. The manager was more than helpful, and generously allowed me to use his computer. Alas, technology was uncooperative, but after a quick phone call to the theatre, they were able to reprint the tickets for us and we settled in just in time for the show to start. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Kaiser Grille so that we can enjoy the excellent food and service again!

Kaiser Grille is one of many enjoyable restaurants in the Palm Desert neighborhood of Palm Springs. We enjoyed a nice dinner here after going on the tram tour and a snowy hike through Mt. San Jacinto. The owner, Eric, saw to it personally that we would be seated immediately, despite the long wait and no reservation. I very much appreciate that! American food served with an elegant twist is the speciality here. My wife and I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and Hanger Steak. That may sound ordinary, but I found that their spin on this ultimate American dish was very tasty indeed! The meat was tender and the Béarnaise sauce was an excellent complement to the steak. It was accompanied by mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. We started with a crab cake and bacon wrapped date appetizer that was really good! For dessert, we shared a warm apple tart accompanied with vanilla ice cream. Best way to end this meal in my opinion. The meal was a tad pricey, but the service, live music, and ambiance really enhanced our dining experience. We were treated great from the minute we walked through the door to when we stepped out to the valet. I would definitely recommend eating here if you’re in the area!

I would absolutely return here if I was back in the area. It was our last night in town and we wanted to have a good meal. After some research, we settled on Kaiser Grille, made reservations, and ultimately were not disappointed! We had a lovely booth and I enjoyed the color scheme of bright orange and yellow on the table. Our waitress was very helpful and quick to tell us the specials. My husband ordered steak, our friend ordered a surf and turf special, and I had a stuffed sole. It was all SOGOOD! We also shared a really good dessert — it was some sort of wine infused sorbet, I believe(I wish I could remember!) The prices were pretty reasonable as well. Highly recommend eating here!

We were curious about this establishment for quite some time as we had whisked by frequently while traveling on 111. Tonight we decided to visit as a family. I knew coming in that«Sunset Specials«were available AND seemed tasty without GOUGING the wallet. We arrived for our 4:45 reservation without a hitch. This is a GREAT time to come in because it was packed when we left at 6:15. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Jackie, came over and handed us the menus. Drink orders were taken for the kiddos and the bottle of wine I brought in was opened and aired out. After browsing the selections we came to a conclusion. Surf n’ Turf for my wife while I dove in for the Hanger Steak. Both included soup or salad and dessert. SUCH A DEAL! Hers was a 4oz. Filet Mignon with a 6oz. Lobster Tail. It was accompanied by HUGE strands of Asparagus and Mash Potatoes. My Hanger came solely with the Mash and it was cooked and carved perfectly. The kids were happy with their respective meals. One had the Cheeseburger while the other had a Cheese Quesadilla. Both came with fries. While waiting for our dishes to make an appearance YUMMY bread was delivered with butter and a tapenade we did not touch. Prior to the entrée I enjoyed the mini wedge and my other half had a cup of Asparagus soup. Both were delectable and small but just enough to satisfy the palate and the tummy. All the while, Jackie is performing her duties commendably. She was attentive, engaging and sweet. The staff bought us a dessert for our 13th Anniversary which was comprised of a Chocolate Brownie cut into triangles with heavenly Vanilla Bean ice cream on a bead of crunchy goodness. Not only that, our kids meals had a choice of an after meal morsel as well. They each had a cup of ice cream. We were actually given the option of taking our INCLUDED desserts home but we reneged as Kaiser had done enough already. Heck, I was not EVEN charged corkage on my wine. Cool deal. A positive experience all around. One that will be repeated in the near future.

Great food & service at Kaiser Grille Palm Desert. It was our first visit but definitely plan to come back. I had the Mahi Mahi which was delicious. It was a good-sized portion and was very moist & flavorful. My husband had the pork chop and said it was the best he ever had eaten. It beat out his previous favorite which was at Bottega Restaurant in Yountville. Bryan, our server, made sure we had a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable about the menu which was most helpful when when we were choosing our dinner courses. He was attentive and professional, yet very personable & fun. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the dining room and look forward to checking out the happy hour in bar sometime.

After reading some of the reviews I decided to treat myself to a steak here. My reservation was ready when I arrived. Upon entering I noticed the ambiance was formal but relaxing. When a few questions about the menu arose they were able to describe the different plates and options effortlessly. Overall the service was great and the food was delicious.

Thought we’d try Kaiser since its affiliated w/Jackalope & Chop House… both of which are wonderful! Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed :(the service was excellent from the hostess, to our Server to the Mgr. But the food… not so much. We ordered wedge salads that were small and just mediocre… going to blame the dressing. I had filet mignon that I asked to be prepared med-well that looked like it had been nuked in the good olé microwave… yikes! My husband had the New York that was undercooked and lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes looked like instant Hungry Jack potatoes from a box… they weren’t but sure resembled it!!! We had crème Brule for dessert… which was by far the highlight of the meal. Will definitely stick with other affiliated restaurants!!!

Started with crab cakes. They were delicious. Wife had the pork chop, cooked to perfection. She liked the Brussel sprout hash. I had the ribs. Falling off the bone, great sauce, hot fries. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great dinner.

Sadly, this is a perfect example of the area’s «fine dining» mediocrity. I had the«airline chicken» which tasted like it was being served in coach at 35,000 feet. My dad had the ribs and said they had a lot of fat on them. My brother had the ahi and really liked it. And my mom had the caprese salad and said it was fine. The three stars are for the bread(YUM!!!) with tapenade and the service, which was super friendly.
