We came here with a very large group for a business meal. They were wonderful about setting up an area for us so we could eat together. Our server was very obviously annoyed we were such a large group and made several comments about how difficult it made things. It made several people uncomfortable; we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. The food itself was pretty decent, but it wasn’t worth it.

Love the salads and small pizzas. Actually, I always special order a salad and pair it with one of the pizzas. I like that they will take a special order.

Went here last week for lunch. Split the salami/sausage/pepperoni pizza & a Caesar Salad with shrimp. Both were delicious. Service was good. Will definitely go back.

My first time eating at Sammy’s and the service there was great! The server there, Tatiana, was so polite and quick with my refills. Go see her if you’re looking for awesome service. I’d definitely go back especially with the great whiskey selection and good food.

This is a place to avoid. Came in yesterday, took 10 minutes just to be seated. I guess they were so busy finding a table amongst the 3 other tables that were occupied. Then to cap it all off, the server(on a split check, cash and card) took my card and charged me the full price, AND the spit price. When I called today and said I saw the two charges, they said the full price was voided. Good job telling me your mistake before I left. Oh, right, you hadn’t. Just throw my bank account out of whack why don’t you. Now this will be following me for three days. The manager I talked to didn’t even care. I’m not going back and I told her as much and she didn’t even try to sway me. So if you don’t care, why should I? Thanks for leaving me with 72 hours of heartburn. I’ll never be back. I’m glad they’re not busy. I’ll go to a better pizza place, like Little Caesars next time.

My son has accrued many reader certificates that allow a sundae for dessert. Today, I decided to treat the family to an early meal. We were seated outside on the patio at roughly 2pm with the misters doing their dance. It was slightly overcast and breezy which made it pleasant. Hector came over to take our order. One kids Cheese Pizza, one kids Cheese Quesadilla, One Chicken Satay appetizer and the Bacon/Leek Pizza. My son had an MMA struggle with the pizza. Basically, the cheese would not stay on the slices. It looked as though he was being submitted in a chokehold and the cheese was all over his face. Strike one. My daughter enjoyed her Quesadilla but it came with Carrots & Ranch dressing. Kind of an odd coupling. She left the carrots as they did not inspire. How can you screw up a quesadilla? My wife and I shared the remaining items. The Satay was fair to midland. Zero WOW factor even though it came with a nice tasting sauce. Something was missing. The HOMERUN came in the form of the Bacon/Leek pie mentioned earlier. The flavors POPPED and my request of a wheat crust was a HUGE plus. We wanted to devour it entirely but we smuggled two slices home. During our meal our server, Hector, disappeared. It is as if we were on a cruise ship and he inadvertently fell over the rail. He was absolutely NOWHERE to be found. Later, he came out and apologized. Evidently, he is in training and they asked him to perform a minial duty inside the restaurant. Someone else was supposed to cover so management dropped the baton. Lastly, the EARNED dessert was ordered. It was called a MESSY Sundae and that is an understatement. It was a goblet on a long thin wine stem. The concoction is supposed to look like a volcano spewing fudge and nuts over the side and down the side of the glass. Too tall a glass and extremely unstable. Put this in a traditional ice cream goblet with a FAT base and it may be a winner. There are more dishes to try and the Happy Hour starts at 4pm so we will return. There are more sundae certificates and we like the location. Maybe they will have their ducks in a row the next time around.

Best pizzas and Lobster Bisque! Server Samuel was outstanding with his 5 star service, and truly made my dining experience a pleasure.

Hubby and I drove to El Paseo, hoping to have a drink and people watch from a patio. We parked in the structure and walked towards El Paseo, but stopped to look at the menu. The menu looked good, and the patio had misters, so we stopped in. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a male, possibly management staff. He was super friendly. I ordered the Pear Persuasion cocktail, and it was great. It was sweet, but not too sweet. It was refreshing, like a mojito. Perfect for a hot day. We also enjoyed, really really really enjoyed the cheesy bread. It was like a cheese pizza with white sauce. So garlicky and good. The staff all seemed to hustle and really interacted well together. Probably one of the better drinks I have had made in a long time and the appetizer garlic bread was way better than ordinary. We can’t wait to come back and try dinner!!!

We did not have to wait to get seated, however we were only given 2 sets of utensils for 5 people, and as I’m writing this we are still waiting for food that we ordered a good 20 mins ago. In addition to the slow service, when we asked them to split the large salad for us to share, they basically told us to do it ourselves by saying, «we’ll give you two spoons on the side». Our waiter also never gave us the wifi password. This review is only for the service as I’m not sure our food will ever come or they even know of our existence. Update: the Thai chicken salad was average, the mini Kobe burgers were pretty good, the plates they gave us were dirty

My husband and I stopped here on Easter. We were heading back to LA from Joshua Tree, so we wanted to stop in Palm Desert for lunch. Unfortunately, a lot of the shops were closed, but many restaurants were open. We picked this establishment primarily because of the patio since we had our two dogs with us. We generally keep them in the dog stroller and park them by the table, that way they won’t bother anybody. Service was good and our waiter was friendly. The food quality was decent, again not NY pizza, but it was tasty. Overall, a good experience at this establishment.

Haven’t been here in a few years ! It’s back to yummy ! So good we came back tonight. The night after. I love the call ahead seating concept. I think everyone would be better off with that In Season. Better half had his favorite laDues(sp I had the 5 cheese pizza. Asking for a side of cilantro. Both tasted Awesome

Delicious food!!! The menu is full of so much that I couldn’t even decide what I wanted. Hawaiian tacos were the way to go. Service was so so but food made up for it

I work right next door to Sammys and enjoy dining and happy hour here frequently. The staff is always very nice and the food is always good! You have to try the mini duck tacos and their pizzas. I like to order the garlic cheese bread add pepperoni. I definitely recommend it!

great food ! we had the Greek salad, Lobster bisque, and the lobster Mac and cheese to share. the salad was huge more than enough for two people ! the salad was very fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was exceptional with Several chunks of lobster meat and the lobster Mac and cheese was deliciously cheddar cheesy and full of lobster chunks as well. We were very happy with the food and the service was good too. I will be back !

I enjoy the place, and some of the selections are delicious. I don’t think the pizza is good but I want red sauce on my pizza and I didn’t see any red sauce used on anybody pizza at all so possibly that is just the way they choose to make their pizza. I am not a regular here, I come when it tends to suit the needs of other’s people invites.

The Balsamic grilled chicken salad never disappoints. I have been to many Sammy’s and this salad is always delicious. I have a hard time choosing the chop salad or the balsamic chicken. Both are fresh and have the right amount of dressing. The pizzas are perfect to share or add an appetizer and they are a great meal.

I used to really like this place. Today I ordered a bunch of stuff to go, and when I presented the free tapas with purchase check in offer the female bartender rudely told me that only applied on dine in. When I asked why it didn’t say valid on dine in only, which is understandable, she sharply said that was their policy. When we asked if our cold food would not be packed with hot food, she was snippy about that too. We did see several take out orders with hot and cold together, which I don’t think is best. That being said, the appetizers and salad we ordered were very tasty. Too bad they didn’t have the good sense to realize that their offer was misleading and honor it and then change it.

Overall fair experience. First the goods: Outside patio is really nice. Misters were refreshing. Waiter did a great job and was very friendly and attentive. But, I can’t deal with sketchy glasses that are dirty with old filth on the glasses. See attached pics. The manager was very pleasant and took our info in case my 7 months pregnant wife had any affects later. Food was… very tasty but hard to trust bc I kept wondering if it had something in it. All in all, it was fair. Clean is the standard when bringing people their food. They missed on that, sadly, bc we really wanted to like this place. UPDATE: They gave us our meal for free which was a nice gesture. We’d try again and make them check our glasses twice ;)

We stumbled in to Sammy’s after not willing to wait an hour or more for our first choice. Sammy’s was practically empty — and for no good reason. From the moment we sat down, the service was great; and while the menu is extensive, our waitress was quick to point out the specials they were having(it was Father’s Day weekend), and their lunch-time deals. Sold! 3 of the 4 of us had pizza and salad combo. I was happy to find out that they have thin crispy crust, and crumbly sausage(as opposed to chunky sausage?). The pepperoni is really spicy. For my side salad(which was pretty large), I opted for the kale caesar, and was really impressed. It was fresh, the parmesan cheese was freshly sliced. As impressed as we were with our food, I’m sure you’re wondering why the heck no one was in here at lunch time on the weekend! We were wondering the same thing. Why were people waiting an hour or more at the restaurant across the way? If you find yourself in a similar position, sneak on over to Sammy’s for a perfect lunch/brunch.
