Have been to this salon twice now, both times to see Nancy. I have received a terrific perm as well as a haircut and couldn’t be happier. I live here in PD and I have tried a few diff salons with not a lot of luck AND spent far more money. I can’t recommend Shear Pleasure Salon and Nancy enough. She’s excellent and also very nice!

Best there is! Cannot say enough good about this business. Have been twice and have a 3rd appointment scheduled. Nancy is excellent; she takes time to make you feel welcome and listens to what you want done. The prices are super fair; I have lived in the desert for 6 years and this is the best deal for the money! I have tried many salons and stylists but this place is outstanding and deserving of 5 stars and more!

Nancy does a tremendous job of doing my hair. They have other services that I have yet to try. Why go to the trendy big $$$$ salons on that other street? Have her take care of you and you will be glad you did. I never have to wait for her as she is smart with her scheduling.

My daughter and I decided to spend a few vacation days in Palm Desert (first time). Needed a shampoo and blow-​dry before leaving for an event in San Diego. We were able to visit the shop to make an appointment after reading the reviews and description of the services. Nancy made the appointments for us. She did my hair and Elisa did my daughter’s. We couldn’t be happier with their excellent styling. We feel very lucky to have found Shear Pleasure.

I absolutely love Nancy and her mom! I’ve only been here twice but both times have been so fun and enjoyable. My mom and I connect with the both of them so well on so many different levels its almost as if hanging out with long time friends while getting our hair done. Not to mention they sell GIRL SCOUT COOKIES! and there is a really nice man who happened to stop by and sell some home made tamales :) I will continue to come here forever if I can! I’ve tried other salons and just never leave as satisfied as I do here. :) :) :) :)

Shear Pleasure Salon and Spa: Elisa Faye is a great hair stylist. She has been taking care of my family and I rely on her expertise with hair styles, advice and hair products. Elisa is intelligent, classy, down to earth, and I enjoy our conversations every time. I can’t say enough good things about her! She is a life saver for my family when it comes to hair!

I’m new to town and was nervous about finding a new stylist as I absolutely adored the stylist I had for the last ten years. I needn’t have worried. After reading the Unilocal reviews I had a pretty good feeling about this place. It looked like a comfortable setting and their prices were super reasonable. I called and spoke to Alyssa who was warm and friendly and understood my trepidation about a new salon. I booked an appointment with Nancy. Nancy did a great job! We talked at length about what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend this salon if you want good service at a great price. Excellent!

It’s so scary to try a new stylist and even more scary if you’re not from the area. I saw the consistently high Unilocal reviews and took my chances with Nancy. My instincts served me well today. Everyone in the salon was so friendly from Julie to Elisa to Nancy. After assessing my grow out Nancy had a creative suggestion about my color. I trusted I was in good hands and told her to go for it. She gave me new fresh color and a precision updated cut. Highly recommend Nancy and this salon.

Whenever I’m in need to cover my silvers… I give Nancy a call. She always gets the job done… She is also Amazing with my daughter’s hair (she is very sensitive and will not let me brush it). Nancy combs through her hair and there is no fight! This salon is children friendly and always give us amazing service. Good treats and fresh coffee. Would highly recommend this little family salon to anyone looking for a family friendly salon.

I have been here twice and Nancy has taken care of my hair both times. She is tentative to my wants and doesn’t appear to mind my lack of decision making. I always show her the photos on Pinterest to give her ideas and she does great. I am new to Cali so the prices are a bit much for me but they are comparable to everyone else. The rest of the team is friendly as well. Thanks guys!

If I were strictly reviewing Hector, who did my hair, I’d give him 5 stars, he really did a great job. Aside from from dye stains that seemed a bit sloppy. However, the owner was so rude and unaccommodating that I will probably never go back. I was WAY overcharged from what their website prices are stated to be and then she tried to tell me I couldn’t use my Unilocal deal I had purchased, which was the only reason I even went there instead of El Paseo to my usual girl. Like I said, too bad, because Hector was good, but they might want to be a little better at customer service and change the prices on their website to what they are actually charging.

I called this place to make an appointment that same day (about 3 weeks ago) and they graciously fit me in for a trim. I chose them because they were off the beat and path of El Paseo and tourists. I figured locals would go here. The hair stylist did a good job and she was friendly and courteous, and they were inexpensive.
