I agree with Charlotte M – I’m also sorry to see this location close. It was a nice place to get quality wines at reasonable prices(with a club card which was free). I also enjoyed going for their wine tastings on Saturdays and ordering an appetizer or two. Please, come back to us!

I’m so sad that this place has closed. It’s like a close friend has moved from the neighborhood! I hope someone can somehow bring it back in the future! Thank you for the memories, 3rd Corner!

I have been going here for the last two years. We buy wine since we are members. I have gone to several wine tasting events and dinners. The food was excellent. The wine list is great but you can get up and browse a large selection of wines from many countries in the wine shop and pick a bottle for dinner. Corkage fee was 5 dollars. Now I hear they are closed. I will go by and see. I live In the desert but I work in Solana Beach which is 135 miles away, so I have only two days to spend here. This is sad news if they are very closed. Many restaurants and shops close in the summer. I hope that’s all it is.

I love the wine set up here. It was really fun to choose a bottle and then sit down and enjoy it. We even took it to go and finished out evening at home. The prices were confusing and the sides were over priced, which is why I’m withholding a star. The food was very satisfactory. My fiancé and I split a salad and an entrée and were full.

A place open past 10 pm in the desert??? No way!!! I had a friend in town and needed a place we could meet up and chill. The bistro came in clutch. I had a glass of wine with some fries. The glass of wine that I ordered was a glass of some kind of Spanish red. It was a nice mellow glass. The fries were nice and crisp topped with parsley And cheese . the menu runs late and looked pretty tasty. I’ll be back to eat more and try some more glasses of wine.

A cozy spot in Palm Desert with delicious food and wines. It’s a cool atmosphere as the wine shop leads into a posh restaurant. Overall great service and it wasn’t too busy when we dined. We started with the house salad, and had the duck confit flatbread which was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Stopped here for an early drink before heading off elsewhere for dinner. The wine list was very good, and initially the service was nice. The restaurant was not crowded(it was early) and we were able to be seated outside on the patio. We told the waiter we were only having a glass of wine and appetizer, and that tended to categorize us in the«not worth my time» list.(As an aside, we had a similar experience in D.C., but because the server was so nice, and they talked about their menu items with such passion, we stayed for dinner, dessert and after dessert drinks!) We did get our wine, after the appetizer was half finished, and did not see our waiter again until a manager brought us the bill. His loss, as we are big tippers when service warrants it; this did not. In any case, the wine list was extensive with very good quality wines, the menu looked delish, and the app that we ordered was tasty and the perfect amount, so food-wise, I would have given it 4-stars but the reluctance of the waiter to ignore us brought the rating down 2 stars.

One of our favorite places on the desert. Great wines and good food. Love the outdoor patio.

What a great find in the desert. Not your conventional spot. It’s a wine store and a bar with a small restaurant inside. The food is really good. French mussels served with French fires on top, original and it actually works great. Add to that the mussels were cooked perfectly with a wonderful broth and that makes for a great dish. Flat bread was nice also. Good spot for casual inexpancieve dinner in Palm Desert.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and service was PAINFULLYSLOW. Like stab yourself in the eye and bleed a slow death slow. THEN just to add insult to injury, they somehow butchered our SIMPLE order. My husband ordered their Cubano with a house salad and basil vinegarette. They brought him a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. AREYOUKIDDINGME?! We didn’t even make any substitutions! I would have said something but the entire ordeal took so long I had zero interest in waiting for the corrected order. Instead, they received a 2 cent tip on my credit card and a «pleasant» note written on the receipt.

This place is adorable. Love going here for drinks & appetizers. The appetizers & entrées are always good and the presentation suits the restaurant. You can never go wrong with the wine here! And if you ABSOLUTELY adore it, you can just buy a bottle of it! Wonderful wines for sale by the bottle and at really reasonable prices. But if you’re not into wine, they do make a mean cocktail! Yum! This place is a must if visiting or if you’re a local! The drunken fries are to die for! And the manager, David is a complete sweetheart!

The portions are decently sized, prices are average. Good food overall. Had the flat bread, mussels and parpadelle. Parpadell was really good. I believe it was a short rib one. Also short rib fries! Short rib is definitely a hot items as of late in the food scene.

An awesome spot to meet up with friends or even simply to have a glass of vino after work. The wine selection is extensive and this was immediately apparent upon stepping inside. There are two areas with the main dining area to the left and the spacious bar area to the right. I met with a friend for a midweek drink and the experience couldn’t have been more pleasant. The chairs at the bar, high communal tables and regular tables were all very comfortable, making for good times wherever one chooses to settle in. Even with a full house, noise levels were manageable so I had no issues with conversation. And while I haven’t had the opportunity to try the food yet, I can vouch for the solid selection of wines by the glass that entails the likes of Belle Glos and Odette Estate in Napa Valley. Service is attentive and I appreciated the regular check-ins throughout the night to see if we needed anything.

What?! I only have one check in here?! This was my second trip! Did I not Unilocal when I ventured here the first time?! Anyway, the first visit was more casual. Had a sit down dinner with friends and ordered Fettucini Alfredo and we ordered a bottle of Paul Hobbs Cabernet to wash it down. Shaweet! That was to this date the second best wine I’ve had(Henley being the first). I really love the fact that once seated, you get up and browse their wine cellar for what type of wine you would like to have with your dinner, and there’s staff roaming around to help you make the right choice for your meal. The second time was with the same friends, but hanging out at the bar having a few beers. Either way, it’s a great place to hang out and have a few drinks and a meal. The second go round we ordered fries to snack on and those were amazing. I recommend this place for a great meal with great wine or just hanging at the bar for a few drinks and an appetizer. And I really love the fact that you’re sitting down and eating your meal in a wine cellar! How awesome is that?!

This spot is a cool place to go to. The hostess were really friendly and sat me immediately. I told them it was my first time so the supervisor showed me around. She told me that the wine is all in the center area. You can pick a wine and bring it to your dinner table and it would only be a five dollar corkage fee. Then she asked if I wanted to sit in the lounge or the restaurant. I had no preference so she showed me both. It’s nice they have both areas. I chose to sit in the restaurant. My server Michael was nice and he seemed to have the whole section. He was apologetic for the wait but nice and friendly throughout dinner. He recommended a wine in which I enjoyed and he also told me some of his favorite entrees upon request. Throughout, he checked on me and made small talk. He was good. I ordered the kale salad and the honey glazed salmon. The kale salad wasn’t really that great, but the honey glazed salmon was nice. I’ve never had anything like it. The honey glazed flavor really comes out. No room for dessert but I want to try the sundae next time I come back.

Went to 3rd Corner for a late dinner with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We chose a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc called Fire Road that was delicious and our bruschetta, shrimp piri piri, and heirloom tomato flatbread were great. Our server was sweet, we never felt rushed or anything even though it was late, and she took care of clearing our plates and refilling our wine without interrupting our conversation. That’s the kind of service I love. I’d definitely return!

We came here Saturday night late for drinks after dinner. The bar area is hip, modern, happening, busy and a great place to relax, unwind, chat with friends, people watch, or just romance the one you are with. They have a cool sofa section that we sunk into like at a Starbucks. It feels good to be here, and all ages will fit in. It’s attached to a large wine store and you can buy a bottle and drink it there with a $ 5.00 corkage fee, or just choose from their by the glass list. The by the glass list ranged from 7 to 17 a glass. We found very good wine at 7 and top quality at 17. They also have beer on tap for non-wine drinkers. Bar tenders will offer you a few tastes of wine, don’t expect wine expertise here from behind the bar, just opinions. Service was sports bar efficient. We will come back and maybe dine in their restaurant next time. – the menu looked good.

I’m so thankful for Unilocal.Without it, we wouldn’t have found this gem. It was late, we hadn’t had dinner and we were kind of in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, one quick Unilocal search led us to this awesome area of Palm Desert. Since it was late, the bar was crowded but the restaurant was clear. We ended up with a corner table in the almost empty dining room — perfect. With a backdrop of floor to ceiling wine racks and the muted lighting, I’d have to say this place is my ideal restaurant. The food was delicious — I had the beet and arugula salad with oranges, dates and walnuts. Probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had, maybe it was the ambiance… or my good mood, but I still remember how delicious that salad was. We also had a mushroom flatbread pizza. I wouldn’t have chosen it, but it ended up being really good too. My chianti, needless to say, was delicious and perfectly paired. I’ve been drinking more wine as of late so I can really appreciate a good red. This place was so good that I’ve been searching for wine bars to check out back in LA. Why won’t you open a fourth location in LA, 3rd Corner?!

Really laid back and a nice place to have a glass of wine and apps. We sat in the bar during a late Sunday afternoon because the restaurant wasn’t open and had a nice time meeting the bartender and gal running the joint. Many folks recommended the heirloom tomato flatbread through Unilocal and at the bar but we didn’t want too much bread cause we also ordered fries with the short rib-so we opted for the heirloom salad with liquid mozzarella cheese. Meeeh… perhaps we should have gone with the flatbread instead because that liquid mozzarella was more like liquid sour cream. Overall it was still good, I don’t know if the tomatoes were heirloom or not, they just weren’t that sweet and juicy to me. I was a fan of the organic egg with mushrooms, I just wish the egg didn’t cook hard on the skillet-had it been over easy, that would have tasted even better! We ordered some of the orange drinks advertised on the chalk board. We would come back if we were in the area. Really nice folks in there and lots of wine to purchase if you are interested.

I visited this restaurant with my Mom and sister for a mother’s day weekend dinner. We made reservations on which was very simple, but didn’t receive any points for the reservation. Boo! There is pleanty of parking outside, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside because of the warm weather. We were seated very quickly and ordered a mushroom flat bread pizza, truffle risotto and beet salad. All were amazing choices!!! We shared the food family style, and my sister and I each had a glass of sauvignon blanc which went really nice with our meal. We also ordered the crème brûlée for dessert! Very yummy! The total came out to about 90 dollars with tip which I thought was such a great price for the quality of the food. The only reason I am not giving 4 stars is that we had to ask our waiter a few times for the same things. He was very nice and pleasant but I think he may have been responsible for too many tables so he missed little things here and there.
