On our way home from Clearwater beaches. Grand daughter goes on the Internet for place to eat. Comes up with Magnolia’s Grill and says it sounds good. So stopped. 4 different meals all great. Service friendly and great. Prices very reasonable. Close enough from New Port Richey for us to go back. Grand daughter from Chicago, Daughter from Michigan. All say thumbs up.

If you want Southern Cooking Done Right this is your spot. Hands down the BEST fried Chicken!!! They explain to you that it will take a bit longer than the other meals but it is WWEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL worth the wait. I always get the ½ chicken so I have left over. The fried Oakra is very well seasoned, the fried cat fish reminds my sweetie of his grandmothers and that is saying something. I love the collard greens and the Coconut cream pie is very good as well. Through the years I have also had their huge Cheeseburger cooked to order Very good and the Chicken fried steak if great as well I have a friend that orders it EVERY time he goes. It is for sure made on site and is not that press patties of meat you get at other restaurants.

Great Burgers and salads, known for friend chicken. Generous portions but a tad on the inconsistent side. Still one of our go to’s! Southern home cooking is a nice change from the chains and typical fare.

Friendly staff, comfortable no-frills atmosphere, decent food. Seemed to have a lot of regulars. Ordered the country fried steak(very good!), homemade mashed potatoes(nice lumpy texture), and collard greens. White gravy was good but a little bland. Collard greens were very disappointing — no flavor at all and sandy — I know it’s hard to clean collards but if you’re going to have them on a menu, prepare them with care! Desserts — coconut cream was outstanding(nice dense consistency — not at all a cool whip or pudding version — thank you!), pecan pie was okay(a little thin and pecans chopped vs. whole).

Met a group of friends here on a Saturday night, they did a great job of handling our party of 10. They serve great southern food. We started off by sharing a number of appetizers that everyone devoured. Most people in the group ordered the fried chicken, I tried their pulled pork which was good but I will say I have had better at BBQ joints. I just wasn’t in the mood for chicken that night, but once everyone’s food came out I had wished I had tried the chicken. One person in our party had the fried catfish and he was very pleased. This was my first visit to Magnolia Grille and I will be going back, next time I will have the chicken.

The photos on this page looked amazing so my mom and I ventured to the Magnolia Grill one Saturday morning with high hopes. They are well known for their fried chicken, and I must say every plate of fried chicken looked awesome, however I was in the mood to try one of their specials. That day their special was sauteed veggies with pita and homemade hummus. My mom got fried pickles and their soup of the day(can’t remember what that was). My mom’s food was out in 5 minutes, however my food took at least 30 minutes. We were confused, because I ordered their special, so it wasn’t like I ordered something they hadn’t planned on making. When I got my plate I was so disappointed in their veggie plate. The veggies weren’t sauteed they were drenched in oil and diced so small. Maybe they ran out of veggies. On a brighter note, their hummus was AMAZING. Short of licking the bowl amazing. Will I return, perhaps to try something else. My mom loved her soup. The fried pickles not so much.

We LOVE this place! Always friendly and efficient service. It is low key, in a strip mall, but don’t be deceived. If you like low country cooking, you will love this place. My husband and I enjoy the fried chicken, country fried steak and the meatloaf, but the very best thing is the fried green tomatoes! Prices are very reasonable, so no coupons needed. This is a family owned business, currently in its third generation. We like to support local businesses, and this is one of our favorites. It is a welcome change from the chains!

Phenomenal fried chicken and fried green tomatoes. I recommend eating super healthy for a week before going so you don’t leave full of guilt and fried goodness like I did.

We come here every so often and it’s usually hit or miss. The service is always good and everyone is very friendly. You can’t go wrong with any of their salads and their hush puppies and fried okra are always on point. My husband enjoys their shrimp & grits as well as the chicken and waffles. The fried catfish has never really been that great and the barbq is just ok. Like I said, we are usually blown away or quite disappointed but usually end up back there eventually. Oh and there sweat tea is amazing!

My wife and I bought a coupon on to Magnolia Grill because we had been wanting to try it. The meal was just okay and they informed us after our meal that they don’t honor those coupons any longer. Very dishonest if you ask me. I won’t be eating there again.

So happy to have found this great restaurant hidden away in a strip mall. If you’ve been saving up your calories this is the place to spend them. Great fried green tomatoes, fried okra, terrific fried shrimp and chicken. Very South Carolina. Specials sell out early, everything fresh and made to order. Desserts, especially the peach cobbler, are excellent if you have any room left.

Had a great lunch, we were sat around 1230 and checked out around 230, so not the fastest dining option. Definitely the place to go for some really great comfort food. The servers were a tad off, not a really organized seating. The kitchen was on the slower side getting meals out. Overall the meal was decent.

Small plain café style seating. i ordered country fried steak came with mashed potatoes and green beans i subbed green beans for okra. the meat was good the white(yellow) gravy may have had a chicken base? Was plentiful and topped the potatoes homemade lumpy smashed. as well as the meat. was typical southern dinner .non eventful. friendly service.

Decent Fried Chicken. Nicely seasoned perfectly fried and juicy in the middle. I didn’t really care too much for the sides. Collard greens were a bit bland and the mash was way too thick. By the time I was half way through with my chicken they had become a bit too stiff and dry. I wish I would have gone with my original thought of green beans and black eyed peas. The lady near us ordered those as her sides and was just raving about them .I would go back and give them another try because like i said, the chicken was good, but with just a different side selection next time.

I’ve been here twice over the last few months and enjoyed it. There is no pretentiousness here. It real southern country food! The catfish can really be a disaster if made wrong. Magnolia nailed it! I love all the side dishes as they are truly southern cooking style! I’m a stickler for Fried Green Tomatoes! These were lightly breaded, and could not be used as hockey pucks. People, if your tomatoes are a solid case of breading, it’s wrong! The Shrimp & Grits rocked steady. The fried chicken did proud. The portions are sizable, prices reasonable, and it will get crowded later in the evening. That says a lot! I will also say the entire staff was helpful and most friendly. Big points there along with great food and reasonable prices make this a southern delight! I’ll be coming back more often! You definitely should try it!

We decided that we wanted some non drive thru fried chicken. What we got was a delicious home cooked fried chicken dinner. With a good selection of side dishes, I got the fried okra and the mashed potatoes with gravy. It was all near perfection even the cream gravy. They do have a lot of other menu selections but the fried chicken is the star. We were both eyeballing the chalk board with all of the tempting desserts like pecan pie and coconut cream pie but we were both too stuffed. So we waddled out promising to come back«real soon». It doesn’t look like too much from the street but please give it a try!
