We were very glad to see SIP85 open and have been going there ever since. It’s nice to have a good dining option so close. They have great wine specials. The brussels sprouts are to die for. Also you won’t be disappointed by any of their steaks. We always enjoy our food and time there. Hopefully more restaurants like SIP will open as the area needs better dining options.

I love this place!!! It has really good food. And my personal favorite is the cheesecake with the Chocolate Covered bacon. They had 3 big tvs about 50 inch. The Menu has a great selection and the burgers are really good. The waiters and waitresses were all nice. I loved the fries. It’s a really good place to hang out with friends and family. And the good thing is if your from around there you will know the owners. The outdoor seating is nice but off course living in Florida it’s hot but there is enough sitting inside. I love the place so we will go back a lot

Decided to come here because it’s within walking distance from home. Such a pleasant surprise! The food is top notch and of course there’s plenty of wine. We are slowly making our way through the menu and no disappointments yet!

Had an awesome dinner here Saturday night. My friend and I shared several of the small plates and a salad. We were stuffed! Chalkboard wines were so affordable at only $ 5 a glass. Will definitely be back!

Great place! Every plate was delicious. Visiting a friend and discovered this little gem! Their house wines is Lost Angel and yummy! We shared a few of the small plates, short rib meatball, brussel sprouts, and the special which was beef cheek empanadas over grits(AMAZING)!! We also share the spinach quinoa salad which was a meal in itself! We somehow managed to also try the salted caramel cheese cake with choc covered bacon. Cheese cake was superb… bacon was good… but smoky! I would definitely come back again and again!

5 stars for food and service. 4 stars for price, loudness, and no children’s menu. Great place to go for a bottle of wine and a few plates. We had the meat and cheese plate and the portion for 2 was perfect as a starter for 4. The steak tips and lamb were delicious, cooked perfectly with tasty seasoning. The bbq chicken sandwich was good, but typical. The penne and chicken with spinach and asparagus was also delicious but pricey at $ 19. We will definitely go back but probably without kids.

Very nice place, cozy atmosphere, food was really good — very limited vine menu with most of the wines being your average«cheaper» wines mostly from California(a few from Argentina and Italy) price is ok, service was very informal and personal really nice! We had a bad wine first and the response and service from the waiter was great — no questions asked and all handled with a big smile! One thing I would point out is that the French fries where bad. Got them with my steak and they where«old, cold and like rubber». So. Next time no French fries for me(that healthier any way so a win win :-)) We will be back :-)

If you are with a group, some prefer wine, some prefer beer, and all want a little something to munch on, this is the perfect spot to take everybody. They have about 10 beers on tap, with some main stream like Michelob, Stella Artois and Shock Top, and some local craft like Cigar City, Coppertail and 3 Daughters. For wine, you can get a glass of cab or chardonnay for $ 9, or open a bottle of Nickel & Nickel or Caymus for $ 135. There is even an organic wine section! Most on the list are well known labels, so drinkers shouldn’t have a hard time picking one they like. Take note that they don’t do cocktails. There are not a lot of food options, but tapas food like calamari, truffle fries, deviled eggs, wings and burgers, great to pair with your drinks. Our fave is their lamb lollipops. Service is great, attentive but not intrusive. Their comment on the beers are also very on point, helping me to steer towards ones I may like. We also have no problem at all redeeming the generous offer of free wine/beer with appetizer. BTW there are lots of outlets under the bar counter for recharging your phone!

My second time there, my wife’s first. The brussel sprout appetizer is outstanding! Pancetta, truffle and reggianno cheese prepared perfectly. Second app was deviled eggs which were amazing with what I think was Nueskes bacon fro Wisconsin. Wife had pan roasted ½ chicken which was cooked perfectly with a slightly crispy skin and as tender, tasteful and as juicy as any chicken I’ve had in in my life. Great wine selection and fantastic service. We will be back. Often!

We stopped here on Friday afternoon. My friend and I were looking for a glass of wine and some appetizers. We had an awesome time. The cheese and meat plate was huge. The Brussel sprouts were probably one of the best things I have ever tasted and the filet tips were juicy, tender, and had an awesome peppery gravy. We had the house red blend, called Mischief, on happy hour for only $ 4. It was delicious, not too sweet or too dry. Tom was a fantastic server. Attentive but not overbearing. I only wish we would have asked for a desert menu! But, it was probably better we didn’t. This place is a must. We will definitely be back and soon!

Great new spot! Happy hour is daily open to 7pm, which includes house wines and beers. Free wifi! Chalk to draw on bar counter is a fun touch. Great music and service. Beautiful presentation of food and reasonable prices for quality of food:)

This place was excellent, top to bottom. The staff was extremely courteous. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was literally some of the best food we’ve had in town. On a Friday night they were extremely busy so we sat at the bar. The entire staff was highly trained on the food ingredients and preparation methods. Amazing selection of wine, great selection of beer. All around great place! Very excited they are so close as we will be back often!

Went with a friend on a Saturday night for tappas and wine. The food was great as always, but the dining area was so loud we had to shout across the bar table to speak to each other. An obviously drunk man and woman were seen coming out of the ladies restroom hanging affectionately all over each other. The bartender erupted with cheers for«the happy couple». The woman sat back at the bar getting free drinks. She was so drunk she laid her head on bar. The man was getting back slaps from friends. Although it was entertaining, it wasn’t what I had grown to expect. I’m sure it was an isolated incident.

My husband and I were planning to go to a nearby restaurant but realized when we pulled up that Sip85 was in the same plaza. We had seen on Unilocal that it had opened a few weeks prior, so we decided to change our plans and head here. It was packed on a weekday evening — it looked like the owners were mingling and drinking with their buddies, who were many of the guests. The décor is neat and trendy, but sophisticated. The crowd is also interesting — I felt like I was on Real Housewives of Palm Harbor or something, if that gives any indication. Not exactly my scene, but certainly good for others! The noise level was loud. SO loud. There is nothing to absorb the sound, so don’t go expecting to have an intimate conversation. Our server was really nice, helpful, and friendly. We wanted to order the crab guacamole special, but he said it had just sold out. So we ordered the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, truffle fries, truffle mac n cheese, and brussel sprouts. The highlight of the meal was definitely the shrimp — they were some of the best, biggest shrimp I have ever had. SO delicious. The only disappointment was the mac n cheese, which had no truffle flavor at all. The brussel sprouts were tasty, but SO fried I might as well have been eating chips. While yummy, defeats the purpose of brussel sprouts in my opinion. Truffle fries were really good, as truffle fries typically are! As we were eating our dishes, we saw lots of other tables being served the crab guac, which was a total bummer because it looked amazing. Our server said they started making it again a few minutes after we ordered. I would definitely order that upon a return visit. I think Sip85 is a good addition to the area. I’m surprised they are calling themselves a steakhouse because that’s not the vibe they give off at all. It’s more of a trendy restaurant with a hopping bar scene(and hopping dinner scene, too). I would return, but either sit outside or go with people with whom I don’t want to have a conversation because it’s so noisy!

Couple things positively influenced my first impression for Sip85: the friendly executive chef, the savvy general manager, their nice looking staff, and a slick interior décor. It is long overdue of having a metropolitan style restaurant for the residents at East Lake Woodlands and Landsbrook. Sip85 doesn’t take reservation, which means it is likely you will wait for a table during busy hours. We were shocked to see a full house at 6pm Saturday evening. It is very rare a new restaurant opened for just two weeks gets such vibe. After 8 starters and 2 round of Pinot Noir, four of us were very pleased with their food. It was creative and bold. For instance, the ‘Crispy Brussels Spouts’ was sauteed and browned in a rich sauce. The flavor of the sauce transform this unpopular vegetable into a mouthwatering treat. Since this was our first visit at Sip85, we didn’t order any entrée; however, we saw waiters brought out nice sizzling juicy steaks on a wooden board to our next table, and they devoured. I will definitely order the steaks at my next visit. By the way, our bill including tips are little less than 200 dollar, about 50 dollar per person. Couple things need improvement: First, due to the material used for their interior renovation, there was nothing to absorb the sound in this medium size restaurant. From scale 1 to 10, the noise level inside is 9. It was too noisy to make any decent conversation. Second, the restaurant is next to a Gym and its parking lots are limited, not mention the potential conflicts between sweaty dudes and tipsy chicks when they back up their cars. So, it is wise to park away from the restaurant. There are plenty parking spots. Third, the talented executive chef works in a small kitchen, in addition of the increasing popularity of the restaurant, the time from you put down your order to the food on your table is approximate 20 to 25 minutes, so don’t wait and just order, the food is excellent. I really like Sip85 and I have invited my friends to join me for happy hour drink soon. I sincerely hope Sip85 be successful and decide to stay at this area, so we East Lake and Landsbrook folks have the pleasure to continue venture the creative and delicious food at Sip85.

You want to be here! From the friendly and accommodating staff, to the interesting menu selections, nice beer and wine choices, and of course each delectable mouthful of food. We loved being able to try a wine before ordering an entire bottle, were delighted by the fresh, crackling pork rinds, in love with the crispy Brussel sprouts, and could not stop commenting on the lovely crust on the baseball cut filet that was cooked to perfection inside as well. Bravo to the chef and staff and we look forward to coming back again and again!

Sip85 is exactly what East Lake needed. Sip is an upscale place to have a drink with friends or to have a drink after a long day at work. The atmosphere and décor are awesome and the staff is not only friendly, but also knowledgeable about the food, wine and beer that they serve. The food is outstanding and Chef Rob’s cuisine vision should be applauded. My compliments to both Chef Rob, for the delightfully delicious food, and Brent for bringing this beautiful vision to East Lake. Also had the truffle oil mac and cheese. Fair warning when you eat this delectable side: you well never view macaroni and cheese the same again. Seriously the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. Simply delightful. Edit: The salted caramel cheesecake is amazing. Enclosed is a picture of the dessert including the chocolate covered bacon that was included as a garnish.

Had the pleasure of attending the soft opening. Food is outstanding. Great craft beer and a nice selection of wine. Pancetta wrapped Shrimp is soooo good. Going to be a new regular spot for us.
